great iems, love the sound, especially for a buck twenty, however, one thing i can't stand are the nozzles - they don't have the ear tip retention rings to hold them in place, sometimes have to go digging in my ears to take tips out.
I’ve had the Explorer for a month or so and this set immediately went to the top of my go to IEMs. They are a 10 for me too Zeos. Great review. Cheers…!
i ordered these when they released and dont regret it. theyre all i use now. note that the cable that comes with retail units is nicer. better 2pin housings and less ugly chin slider. those review units had the meh cable
The Explorer is one my favorites, and I knew they were within a few minutes. The price point is fantastic, and most of the sets that I think of as "as good" start at twice the price. The value proposition is crazy, and the accessories are nice. I know that most complaints seem to come from low volume listeners, and they think it needs more treble.
I met you at Can Jam London this weekend.... (Nice to meet you... Hope you had a good one) A little reminder about the Fatfreq X HBB Deuce... I willing to bet good (imaginary) money that you will love them... Just saying
I’ve been using Moondrop Katos. I love the way they sound but I prefer something a little more tonqlly balanced. How would you/someone compare those with the Explorers?
Man that X-Bass / X-Space combo is ridiculously good. Just wanted to test it on my Timeless and man alive, the bass and space! PS: This set would be on my radar if the Megafest wasn't on it already.
Thank you for the excellent review. I have a question. I recently purchased the Performer 8. While I am satisfied with its resolution and technical performance, I find the sound around 6kHz to be harsh, and the sub-bass feels a bit lacking. Given the significant price difference, do you think the Explorer is worth trying for someone like me?
I haven't tried performer 8 but I do have the explorer and imo it doesn't really excel in either techs or resolution. There are still some details on it but it probably would be a downgrade from your p8. On the other hand, it is not bright and smooth on the treble but it lacks energy on the air region. If you're fine with that then why not
@@pirateporo3084 Thank you for your reply. I compared the Explorer and P8 on a TH-cam channel today and found that I prefer earphones with less energetic treble. The Explorer's treble sounds natural and not harsh to me. I used to have the Simgot EA500, and when I switched to the P8, I noticed an immediate improvement in resolution. However, I realized that better resolution doesn't necessarily make music more enjoyable; tuning is much more important. When you say the treble isn't smooth, do you mean it sounds rough? And when you say it lacks 'air,' does that mean the sound lacks resonance? I'm not very familiar with these terms.
@@prism5111 my bad about the smooth part. It is smooth and what that mean is it doesn't sound peaky on the treble. For the lack of air region, I'm not sure if I could explain it to you properly but air region is past 10Khz when you look to a FR graph.
How do these compare to the OH10? They have been my end all darlings for years, but sometimes I seek something a bit different, but quality. But honestly, I love the OH10 SO much it's like I can stray a bit from them, but not TOO far.
Do you ever worry that IEMs that look fantastic in photographs might in fact turn out to be made of wax? The ear tips, wax. The cable, WX. Even the packaging, wax, Wax, Wax! These buds are the real McCoy though!👍🏼
I returned the plutus beast. The bass was fun, the finicky fit to get that bass was not. The upper mids were absolutely not fun. The vibration of the condensers was not fun. They were beautiful though and kinda giggle inducing to listen to for 3 days.
I bought these, and I have to say, they are the smoothest and most relaxing IEMs I have ever owned. The quality of the cable and the housing is also excellent. Honestly, I can't find any faults with them. They are outstanding. Everything feels natural, with no discomfort. I definitely prefer the Explorer over the Performer 8.
Hi , Suggest one IEM under 100$ With good bass and details and clarity I’m using Simgot EW200 I love the details and clarity For me it’s little bit shouty and less bass

I have become aful a month ago. Love this pair. Planning to get the P5 soon.
@@endorphinADMIN, but the ANGLE of the nozzles is perfect for my wonky left ear.
Going to buy a pair during the current sae most probably.

Nice to know - getting a pair shortly!
Its my the iem I use the most. Nice tuning for a relaxing listen.
What are the top three favourite earphones in your collection?
@ReverendDr.Thomas Explorer and S12 Pro. Never went to the 200+ range.
The Explorer are beautiful sounding IEMs, Love mine as well. Great video Z!!
Getting a pair ASAP!

The camera is aimed left until. 13:41 // Thats a new one.
First video? It's okay you'll get better with time
sound is very low too
Waiting for the Letshuoer S08 review. A very smooth planar that sounds like a DD.
That is one of the videos you can watch on Patreon. I did it two weeks ago. It's free to watch there.
I watched this video while wearing mine and I don't have an IEM that can beat these!
Good review! I had the P5 and sent it back, was nothing special about it compared to the original Mangird Tea. This one looks better for classic rock.
Zeos! When are you going to review the new fiio fa19? They just came out this month
Z, Bluetak on my Jotunheim volume control. "Because Schiit". Best, D.
Are you planning on reviewing the Supermix 4s? I'm curious on your thoughts since they have a unique driver setup.
@Zeos…. As one of the commentators asked, how do they compare to the Meze Alba? Thanks.
I'm still waiting for a company that makes BA drivers to have a model called Barakus vs some random number.

this or the meze alba? im liking the idea of meze trying out meze sound and the comfort, but these are also enticing for the price to performance
They are very different. Alba has a big pina, this one has a very subdue pina.
Thank you for the excellent review. I have a question.

Thank you for the additional information. It sounds promising. I'll consider it.

I am having so much doubt between the Explorer or the HBB EW300 by Simgot. I listen a lot of 80’s pop and modern electronic music
😂 Will buy. Must buy... 😅
how do these compare to the celest phoenixcall?
NO COMPARISON at all.

Aqua Regia by Sleep Token sounds INCREDIBLE through these, just a heads up
Can you please review Simgot SuperMix 4, I would really want to know what you think of them!
Give us an early impression of Aful Cantor. It looks promising.
How are these compared to Simgot's Supermix 4?
Are you chills multiplying?
Do you think they get their ability from having a open tube?
These or meze alba?
Good for movies?
this or the himalaya?
18:55 THAT’S WHAT SHE SAID 😂😅
These or the plutus beast..?
I returned the plutus beast. The bass was fun, the finicky fit to get that bass was not. The upper mids were absolutely not fun. The vibration of the condensers was not fun. They were beautiful though and kinda giggle inducing to listen to for 3 days.
If only 1, these.. If you want the whole collection. Add the beast in there
❤

Almost bought these but got the simgot super mix 4 instead
Trust me, the supermix 4 is great. I tried it at canjam and preferred to more expensive sets like the pilgrim, andromeda etc
Late..butt..Peace!
butt
