@@oddgorl23 I've found it, it's the same theme as 9's regeneration into 10. It reprises here whilst 14 is talking to Donna and Mel just before he regenerates
The Music at 48:35 (When 15 doubles the TARDIS) is the same Music that played at the end of Wild Blue Yonder when we meet Wilf again I wonder if this will become a recurring theme for Series 14
46:19 - 48:30 This may sound weird, when I was watching the new 60th anniversary episodes, while I got to enjoy them, I was going through a rough patch, me and my girlfriend had just broken up and, its the memories that sort of stuck with me within this track. It used to make me cry and take me back to the painful memories, now this track gives me the peace and acceptance I need. I will still think about her and the good memories and those happy times still hurt, every memory that is there, her face, smile, voice her presence and the way she she would hold me its all so vivid within this track in a nice but sad feeling and it feels beautiful... if you ever come across this Anna, I am sorry for everything, thankyou for all the memories and the happiness you brough to me, im sorry i couldnt do the same for you. I hope your doing amazing :) il miss you always
37:17 is my favorite bit of the score it sounds so badass as fourteen is being killed by the galvanic beam is just awesome out of every doctor's demise fourteen's is the most climatic and cinematic in Doctor who's history by far. Murray Gold deserves an award for making such amazing and memorable pieces for this show.
Was great hearing some reprised melodies, just a shame we only got some in really quick/subtle traces (looking at you The Doctor Forever....). But 15's theme is incredible, looking forward to hearing some variations of it in the future.
Bombastic and generic are a bit conflicting. Gold's previous work was bombastic for sure at times but never generic. I would use other words to describe Gold's previous work such as: swashbuckling, fast-paced, heroic, bold, emotional, and brassy. Under different directors, Gold has shown he is capable of writing in different, more subtle, styles. Many of his more Sci-fi scores are what I would classify as "generic" (often filled with minimal thematic material, low drones, and electronic riffs/stings), but if it is how he is asked to compose for the episode, then that's how he'll compose.
The hint of Sheperd's Boy at 6:34 is chef's kiss.
Damn I love Murray's music so much
Edit: I'm glad Hologram is back when Mel says "fantastic" .One of the best tracks in Doctor Who.
Where?
am i the only one who doesn't hear it?

4:33 I love they nodded to Russell’s previous show “Years and Years” with that music!
I love the children's choir Gold uses in the Toymaker's music. Such a menacing sound.
Doing the lords work once again! Fab stuff

Did you hear it in the anniversary concert? It was terrific! Along with Ruby's Theme.
@@sallyatticum Oh, yes! Utterly fantastic stuff!
It brought me to tears a couple times.@@Spoot401
I love how the soundtracks have gone back to being both electronic and a bit of orchestra, rather than just being bombastic genericness

A proper sci fi score to me is a mix of electric and orchestral.@@Spoot401
@@Spoot401 i think they meant segun's work
Great job! Love this one, especially.
I wonder if we will start getting released soundtracks, again. I love these specials.
hopefully soon
@@paulflint6254Series 10 would like some words with Murray Gold...
segun was very consistent with releasing the soundtracks he did for doctor who, so hopefully murray continues that trend
