Ciderwing does some absolutely beautiful dragons. I've printed 2 of the rose ones. One for myself in rainbow silk that transitioned from yellow to pink and another that went from a beautiful steel blue to metallic green. My children also love articulated stuff.
Looks like my house with all those dragons! I am constantly printing different dragons! You should check out the articulated pangolin. So cute! Not quite as move-y as the others but I have a soft spot for pangolins.
Nice! The robot one reminds me of mecha Godzilla! Just got a new printer and my first print is going to be one of these dragons but I found one that’s the water Pokémon Garydos and I’m SO stoked for it!
Also if you look around you'll find there is an articulated Mushu, the dragon from Mulan. I've printed about four of them so far because they are so awesome! His face is the best!
I lover your dragons! I’m a collector of the types of dragons to! There names are orb, emerald, and digital,I’m about to have 4! And the 4th one is ganna be named wisdom
My college has a 3d printer students can use. I really want to make all those dragons, and when the semester starts again the first thing I'm going to do is save my allowance to buy my own filament and the models you linked on the video. I only have one question, since I have never 3d printed before: how do you make the dragons shift from one color to the next? Is there a special filament or did you just used two colors and the machine blended it? I really loved the flower dragon that was purple and white, as purple is my favorite color, and I wanted something to that effect in my dragons. Another question is: can I paint the 3d printed figures if I can't find those special filaments or can't get 2 filament colors? To get a similar effect. If so, what would you recommend? If you don't know if they can be painted or not, it's fine, I already appreciate you posting this video with all the links to all the models!
There are several ways to do it. One, you can find a lot of "rainbow" or "transition" filaments that change colors as you print. But, you can also pause the printer at any point, and swap out filaments for an immediate color change. For the rose dragons, I used multiple different filaments to get the effect. Many people sand and paint their models after printing, so that is definitely another good method--if you have the painting skills!
Hi ☺️ I'd just bought my first 3D printer and in this particular moment, during writing this comment I print Benchy 😉 But your movies are so inspiring. Cheers
i love these my mom told me we can buy one or make one i was so happy i love this toy i dont think 3 year old can be around this toy cause they will try to eat it and they will choke on it
Hello quick question i been thinking to buy a 3d printer but the budget is not too big, so my question is how u can print figures with so many colors on it. Great videos so far so good
I've tried printing the crystal dragon 3 times now and keep having issues. About half way through the filament isn't sticking to the back half of the tail. I've tried messing with the cura settings but I'm not really sure what's happening
You can blow it with the heat gun but be very careful! You don't want to melt the actual body parts. And it's very easy to do! Just do it quickly and at not the highest temperature. Somebody might say you could use a blow dryer but I have not tried that.
You just pause the printing at the layer you want and switch to a different color and then start back. Just make sure not to move anything and only PAUSE it don't stop it.
i love your videos and i wish i can make those but my 3d printer is small its the easthread x1 mini but my mom got it for me and she tried her best so im grateful because she got it for me on christmas
I know it's a bit late, but what filament did you use for the 3rd dragon on the right side? (The one between the glitter crystal dragon and steampunk dragon) I would love to get some!
That third dragon was the Crystal Dragon by Cinderwing3D printed in Zyltech Psychedelic Silk PLA. Found here! www.zyltech.com/psychedelic-silk-pla-3d-printer-filament-1-75mm-1-kg-2-2-lbs/
Help me !!!!! I have a cr-10v2 stock and I have the dragon file and trying to print it with silk pla and my extruder gears keep grinding down the plastic going into the Bowden tube . I’ll get all the way to mid back and it jus grinds it down argh
Hello hello! I've been so behind on responding with vacation throwing me all out of sorts. I hope you've got the problem solved and this message is just useless information at this point, but I did want to respond. I'm wondering what's happening with the issue you're having. If it's the same exact spot every time, then I would be suspicious of something interfering with the printer printing at that height. If other models are printing above that though it wouldn't be that. And that wouldn't typically cause grinding on the extruder gears. Is the filament grinding down because there's backpressure in the extruder due to a partially clogged nozzle, or is the tensioning on the gears too tight and it's causing slow grinding over time. If you've got another filament to try the print with, that would be my next thought, so you can see if it's specific to that filament or to the hardware/configuration. I hope you've got it all sorted and have happy dragons there now!
The roses with gold edges look amazing, as if it’s been painted
Crocodile is behind it
The kids at the elementary school luv these and cant get enough. Crowd-fund me a few more printers plz.
