Well, that's $40 I'll probably never get back. Any suggestions on things I should waste my cold hard cash on for future episodes? All thoughts welcome!
@@DreamyHedgehog Don't worry, I'm a huge fan of the series! The tricky bit would be finding a topic that hasn't already been covered a million times by every other Sonic TH-camr.
This feels like the Canadian DankPods. The last time I was in a Toys'R'Us was for Christmas last year, buying gifts for relatives, because that's all Toys'R'Us is really good for these days :/ We all want Toys'R'Us to stick around forever, but then we don't actually shop there or remember it exists most the time. The fact they didn't completely go under is pretty baffling.
They got the HMV shop in most of the stores now along with a hugely expanded book section, I've even heard rumors there's supposed to be a candy shop coming into the stores at some point. There's definitely more then what there used to be.
I still remember buying video games from them and then bringing it home to find the cases were completely smashed and destroyed, but you couldn't tell until you already opened the plastic and tried to open the case. It happened several times, including a Call of Duty game that came with an Xbox that was in complete splinters (literally the disc was the only intact part), enough that we stopped getting our games from them. I have no idea why they had so many broken game boxes, did the employees just throw them around like footballs in the breakroom or something?
@@Pipkiablo I have honestly no idea, but there are no more video games for sale (that I've seen at least), so I suspect there may have been complaints. Not something I've experienced though, I've been glued to the PC my entire life, I've only recently got my first console, and it's only because it was the worst Nintendo Switch in all of Canada and was something like $2 bucks.
Apparently they're making appearances in Macy's stores. Not sure which ones, but they're there. More of a marketing ploy though, really, as it's just some tiny toy section with Geoffrey plastered on it. As for the Big W, I did know that was in Australia, joke wouldn't have worked if I said I knew though. Didn't know that K-Mart was still in the land down under though, so thanks for that! 👍
It’s not very often you come across new channels that already know how to edit and make a video really well. I subbed because this channel is going to be huge and I wanted to sub before that happens💪🔥
It took me over three months of studying TH-cam and a bunch more simply learning DaVinci, OBS and Krita, but it all payed off in the end! Happy to have you here! 👍
I liked the video a lot and you have a great sense of humor, but the structure REALLY bothered my OCD lmao. You should've mention that you were ranking the products at the very start of the video, not 5 minutes in, and the ranking had to be done after each product. IDK, maybe it's just me, but the way you did things kind of confused me and the one thing that really kept me watching was the jokes. Anyway, best of luck and I definitely look forward to future videos.
6:07, 6:10 I am an Australian sooooo.... Time to get nerdy and whingy mate! Kmart Australia is still going strong in Australia and New Zealand, despite it's American counterpart (not owned by Wesfarmers) being dead. And Big W is an Australian brand founded and owned by Woolworths (Woolies) in 1964, the company is exclusive to Australia and New Zealand, so sadly no, you won't call them to see if the fridge is running or not. But a fact about the former, Kmart Australia was founded by the American Kmart and Coles, but Kmart Australia is its own thing now.
Ah, so the Aussie Kmart is basically the exact same reason we have Toys'R'Us in Canada while everybody else doesn't, really neat! Thanks for the insight, mate!👍
I've bought a few Funko Pops, but only for things that I'm a superfan of. Otherwise I don't really see much worth in them. They make way too many of them and they really only have niche appeal to people like me who are superfans of a property, and we're few and far between. I might have spent money on an Umbreon Funko to add to my shelf display of Umbreons because it's my favorite pokemon, but there aren't enough people like me who like Umbreon that much to really move enough of that product.
Yeah, same. I myself would like to pick up a Sonic the Hedgehog one at some point or another, and I'm certain there are at least a few that I'm not aware of that I absolutely need, but they're definitely niche and are WAY overproduced for what they are.
1:01 TrackTribe music... 1:01 the desk used to display the items... 3:19 overwhelming knowledge on cars... 4:12 the word "nugget" used to describe something subpar... 13:30 flash of CYA at the end of the video... Wouldn't be surprised if this had a DankPods/Garbage Time influence. Still great stuff though!
It was more of supposed to be how they were calling Alaska "United States of America" but I was doing unscripted at that moment and didn't word it the best. I actually think it's funnier now though, so I guess that worked out in my favour.
the Philippines has Toys R Us too! Anyways you have a great and loyal fanbase now congrats! people love underrated youtubers like You, only rarely the algorithm lets small youtubers flourish, keep it up!

Unexpected, but highly appreciated comment! It's actually not sealed, I got the iPod a decent while back from a Goodwill (works well, was a great deal for its condition) and more recently separately found the original container and packaging, which I now keep the iPod in because that's just cool. That's about it, it just kinda sits there. Doesn't work at the moment, but that's only because I'm to lazy to dig up the charger for it. It's only one piece of a much larger collection of older phones though, one day I'll have to make the whole video on all of them or something.
It’s possible those funkos are worth money. Funko pops can sell for big money I’ve made a good amount selling them but you should see if they are worth money. The ones you got are only available in Canada and I remember people were paying big money for them on eBay but it’s possible the hype is gone now 🤷♂️
Yeah, I think the hype on Funkos are over, I get the feeling that everybody who'd have bought them has already bought them, especially as the Funko aisle in my local Toys'R'Us hasn't changed in the past two years. They have an absolute truckload of the Geoffrey's all marked down for something like $5 bucks a pop (pun not intended) and are still incapable of selling. Though, I'm fairly certain you could get them signed by Geoffrey from what I've heard, now that might be worth something...
Aw my son would love that monster truck, instead we got the moustache, splattems, a light up fidget ball, the same funko pops. Two ninja turtles and Harry Pottery and an earl grey kit tea by graffix. The worst was a stuffed bat man key chain looking thing. My son didn’t care at all about that or the stuffed animal and two igloos with the exact same character so they bags are pretty much identical and they were bought at different times. Def not worth the $60 + tax for all 3 bags.
Aw, really disappointed to hear that.. 😥 It might vary from store to store depending on what stock they have, I personally heard that these monster trucks were in some of the bags and I went out of my way to feel out which bags they were, as not all of them had one.
Might not quite be apartment safe (and Home Depot will kick me out if they see me trying to buy that) so I don't think that will happen, but thanks for the suggestion!
