As a single, professional salesman, i prefer Territory. Iv driven 2020 many times & 90% of the time, im using it without any other passenger. Sometimes, i would visit my family in my hometown & we would occupy all seats. Value for money based on practicality & function.
This is a great comparison, made me realize the easier choice based on utility and my practical needs which was Territory. Although you can't ignore how Everest gives you more torque and space which majority would consider first w/o any questions lol
The looks and vibes mattered too. If I stick to reality and needs, the Territory was the way to go. But man, the Everest looks so good; you can't just ignore it. So, in the end, I went for the Everest.
If Ford has an MPV, that would be a better comparison - both with 7-seats and multi-purpose use cases. But in Ford's current line up, this comparo makes sense. I'd say for bigger, extended families where relatives hitch a ride every once in a while, the Everest. Why is there a need to compare economical status based purely off a car?? I can have billions of dollars in my bank account but still prefer to have an MPV because I don't find any good reason to own a luxury car. If my car takes me from one point to wherever I want to, without any major problems, then I'm totally satisfied. Those extra electronic features are additional points of failure in the future, and surely will be a headache even if I could afford to fix them all.

Wildtrak Everest talga gusto ko dahil black ang trim nto sa Garnishes medyo tito looks tlga ang chrome. saka ang features ni titanium ay nasa Wildtrak everest na rin pero hindi 4x4. sa performance at features panalong panalo itong Everest. Very Comfy both driver and passenger hindi masikip ang loob and i love the interior. laking tulong din sa akin ang Ford Pass apps nila sa cp. kase bago ako bumaba ng garahe from 4th floor naka Start na ung sasakyan at malamig na ang AC .
THis is just real content for ideal buyers too. I am a commuter and a driver too. Seeing more trucks and SUV's on the city roads feel so stiff to bring more traffic. I ought for people to choose smaller vehicles just like abraod where they live in the city they tend to have smaller cars. Specially not all 3rd row is being occupied by a passenger so its a deciding factor than going full blown large Vehicles corresponding on their needs. I also have a pickup truck but I live in the provinces now so its for me.
Well if you’re considering specifically the top of the line Everest at 2.5m, another 500k gets you in an Explorer which gives you crossover comfort with SUV space and power. Also Caco brings up a great point about using all 7 seats. I only need to do that less than once a month… it makes more sense to buy a CUV and rent a van for the occasional family trips
I'd argue it is peaceful. Just because its engineering is complicated doesn't mean it's not peaceful. You literally get 5 years free PMS from Mazda Philippines, is that not peaceful enough? Not to mention there are barely any stories about Mazdas breaking down or having issues at all? @@Yuhani
For as long as it is made by a Japanese car manufacturer, you can surely trust its quality in the long run. Mazda is one of those that you'd almost never doubt its quality.
We went to the dealership the other day and both Everest and territory is our pick a car. But some of the group in Everest told me (as an owner of ford Everest 1st gen itself). Territory eats a lot of gas and it's engine is not good as you think as a friendly economic car. So right now we are fixing our document to buy Everest sports instead of territory titanium X

Aside from the general inside and outside of the cars, it would be great if these videos included customer and owner feedback for the 2 cars. My family and I fell in love with the new Territory until we heard about the horror stories about the car. Weak air-conditioning, infotainment system suddenly turning off, high gas consumption, and more. We ended up getting the Everest instead because there are almost zero issues with it, at least as per the people who've bought it.
Agree! My cousin bought the territory and after 4 months the ac had to be replaced. I just can't remember which part of the ac. Good thing though it was under warranty but considering the hassle that you have to go through after driving the vehicle for only 4 months. Maybe it was just a coincidence, we'll never know 🤷🏻♂️

Everest has better aftermarket support vs Territory and the extra space, you can’t make it up. It’s better to have the extra space, extra ground clearance, extra ports, extra compartment, extra power, extra torque and not need it than need it and not have it.

You forgot to compare badassary.. the Everest is miles ahead with this one. Will be buying the Everest soon. Also I tend to notice that when driving a PPV in the city, other cars tend to stay away more from you, compared when I'm driving my sedan.
This is definitely a confirmation bias. Lol. I'm driving an M3 sportback and have never felt the need to 'stay away' from PPVs. If anything, I can fit my hatch in between rather easily.

Yep. People need to be aware that this vehicle is a badge-engineered product. It's basically a JMC Yusheng S330 with a Ford badge slapped on it. Just like how the Mazda 2 = Yaris, the Wigo = Daihatsu Ayla.
Is the ride quality and noise vibration really a deal breakers I herd other reviewers say the Everest is not that bad for comfort or vibration of deisel. I'll have to test drive both.
With so much flood during rainy weather in Manila, the ground clearance will be a deal breaker. Although the Territory gives an ample ground clearance, the Everest's still wins.
If you drive a lot on lubak roads (thanks dpwh), places with steep ramps, flood-prone areas, get the everest with best in class wading depth and the Trend variant has thicker wheels. If you're mostly city driving on smooth roads (relatively) at less than 8 kms a day with 4 family members or less, Territory is the better value. I give a slight edge to Everest, however, because it's Australia designed and tested, 🎉Thailand made and doesn't have the Chinese pedigree of the Territory. 😂😂😂
Also u didn't mention high ground clearance of Everest Philippines full of road works and pot wholes also the water wading depths in floods in Philippines.

I am glad I chose Yaris cross, I bring it to offroad and love it, 1700km without any issue. Meanwhile Ford territory, meh, on paper it should have been more powerful than Yaris cross but it is very sluggish for some reason, 500 km on it and don't love it but I love the look of it. Even the interior makes me feel like I am sitting inside a premium car.... But how long will it last?
Midsize SUV : if you're insecure and have a small penis so you'll have to compensate with a big car. Crossover : if you're practical and sensible plus you're also not insecure about yourself.
SUVs are kinda overrated. Not everyone goes off road, the Crossovers have ample ground clearance and a much better ride quality. Plus the 3rd row seats on the SUVs are mostly cramped outside of the MUX.

Everest has traditional A/T. Territory has CVT. I think the choice is very clear, Everest. You still can't make space out of thin air. Everest ride quality has already improved quite a lot. Territory is only good to have if you already got a people/cargo hauler on your lineup. But then, a similar Japanesse brand offering is much safer if you go with the crossover.

Powerful and Peaceful can be found on the Mazda CX-90. But its price is the Everest and Territory combined. Great review, btw.

Maintenance should be considered as well. The gas Territory will trump the Everest by a mile.

SUVs are kinda overrated. Not everyone goes off road, the Crossovers have ample ground clearance and a much better ride quality. Plus the 3rd row seats on the SUVs are mostly cramped outside of the MUX.

Everest has traditional A/T. Territory has CVT. I think the choice is very clear, Everest. You still can't make space out of thin air. Everest ride quality has already improved quite a lot.
Territory is only good to have if you already got a people/cargo hauler on your lineup. But then, a similar Japanesse brand offering is much safer if you go with the crossover.
It’s a dual clutch, not a CVT. the 1st Gen had a CVT.

Nope, wet dual clutch from Getrag. Getrag, the German transmission company is now owned by a Chinese Company and they manufacture them in China now.
