I remember visiting an Olds showroom when the Toranado came out. Earlier this week, I visited a '66 Toranado owner at his home. Don't know when the story will run yet, but he does have a lot to talk about.
Bud, thanks very much for filming this and putting this together. The video came out great and definitely captured some of nostalgia of Oldsmobile. Thanks again Sal!
A fun story, Sal. I'm now doing another video on the show for the "My Ride" feature that I do for the Republican-American newspaper. It will appear on wheels.rep-am.com on Saturday along with a written story.
Nicely done, Bud ! Edited to look and sound like a story you'd hear on local TV news. And bonus, I was happy to see that my 70 Cutlass Supreme convertible was in a few shots !
Glad you enjoyed it, and thanks for the compliment. I worked in TV news for eight years in Phoenix (even won a regional Emmy Award) and picked up some tips on how to shoot and edit video from some talented pros.
Mr. B. Here ! 🍩☕️👀😎👍 Show was very cool ! But sad to see more Cutlasses than many of the other models ! Still go show on the field and off the field, Caddy’s-Buicks-GMC show vehicles ! 🍩☕️👀😎👍
I noticed the number of Cutlasses as well, but figured that was just because of their popularity. They were stylish and affordable. Very few 88s and 98s, so they stood out. An all-around good show.
@@ride-ct-classiccars Mr. B. Here ! 🍩☕️👀😎👍. Am a Oldsmobile guy from NY, I had my GMC Sprint 1976 with 70k miles, they did not want non Olds on the field. LOL ! My Oldsmobiles were down so I took what was running ! Small minds ! The Oldsmobile show on LI NY Olds & non-Olds they would have fill that field 2X over ! Still fair show ! 🍩☕️👀😎👍
Great car show !
I drove my dad’s’72 Cutlass S
The best !
Thanks for another great video
Glad you liked it. My dad owned a 1962 Cutlass, a 1964 Cutlass and a 1966 Cutlass when I was a kid, so I'm an Olds fan to this day.
My parents favorite car when I was a kid. 1967 Toronado We were the only car in the neighborhood to make the hills in the winter.

I had a 72 Olds 98 coupe. Awesome car! The rocket 455 was a beast!
And it was huge...

N = Nova
O = Omega
V = Ventura
A = Apollo
Spells out Nova, yet GM claimed this wasn't deliberate.
I've never heard or seen this before. Thanks!
