Motorcycle-riding Macaw Always Draws Attention
He is an awesome guy to meet at the shows! hes got a great ride! Greetings from Oakville!
Agreed!
A Keeper 💯 Percent
You are definitely spot on.
How long has it been since anyone saw a Yugo in that condition? For all of the reputation it had, it did exactly what it was designed to do, and is still a cult car in the Balkans where it came from. One to treasure, as there surely can't be many left that are anywhere near as original as that one!
It is a rarity.
a very lucky guy.........i had a grey 77 Camaro & loved it
Camaros were so popular back then. I had a '78.
@@ride-ct-classiccars '77 was the last year for the aluminum bumpers as shown in the video & '78 was the 1st year for fiberglass bumpers i believe🤔
Beautiful car. My fist car was a '68 500. 330 horse 383 automatic. Put in 4.10 suregrip and proceeded to kick butt on a lot of " musclecars" !
I'll bet you did.
@ride-ct-classiccars Ran 14.71 with the 3.23 open rear. Eighteen years old and on top of the world in 1973!
Sweet car!
Yes, it is.
1968 cornet wouldn’t have come with a 383 magnum 335hp from the factory, it would have come with a 383 4BL 330hp. The reason is the 383 magnum and 426 hemi were the high performance engines for the superbee which was the high performance cars. The 68 cornet was not so they didn’t get the performance engines or there would had been a sales conflict with the lesser models. I already went through this with a Mopar guru about my base model charger and bought the factory books for the options available on all models for 68.
What a great truck! And the owner’s correct; it’s even better for not being a Ford or GM product.
It really does stand out.
Way to go Wayne, you saved a very beautiful car!! ^8 Coronets are stunning.
That's my brother in law.....I was 10 years old when he got that car and I remember it like it was yesterday. Rode in it many times and even drove it a couple of times when I was older and could talk him into letting me drive it 🙂
Lucky you!
Unlike Plymouth, Dodge NEVER offered the Super Bee as a convertible. While the Road Runner was available as a convertible from 1968-70. Absolutely, gorgeous with a tremendous story.
No convertible Road Runner in 68.
Glad you enjoyed it.
Beautiful Car, great story! These days you have to order packages containing the things you want.
That is a beautiful car!
It really gets noticed!
I hid a modified 65 Mustang from my parents.
Lucky you!
This is a great story. I was parked next to Mr. Johnson with my 1988 Dodge Aries wagon at a car show in Shelton in 2018, and this car was truly gorgeous. I remember him telling me how this was truly a family car for a long time - that his newborn kids came home from the hospital in this car.
It does have a great story.
Wonderful story! Long-term relationships with vintage cars are love stories that should always be shared!
I'm happy he shared it with us!
Had a 1979 Z28 - also with a 4 speed. Loved it (except for the plastic bumper. The 1977 looked better)
I'm with you on the plastic bumper. I bought a new '78 Camaro and the paint didn't exactly match the body.
WELL- WHY NOT SAY WHO THIE "RESTORER" IS SO YOU CAN SAVE SOMEONE FROM GETTING SCREWED OVER?? 🤷♂️
No need to yell. I hear what you're saying, though. While I don't recall specifically, it may have been a case of the restorer now being out of business. Or maybe I was just concerned about getting sued. Or maybe the owner was reticent to name the culprit. Your point is well taken.
The LS-swapped 240SX of the 70s.
Mike is a great guy and deserves a lot of respect in the Scout community for the amount of miles he puts on his Scout!
Fun story to do...
Now you can be a yuppie and own an electric POS!
You may be premature is your assessment. The new Scout could easily be a great vehicle.
@ride-ct-classiccars not if it's an electric POS! Just because it has the scout name doesn't mean it's a scout. Nothing like an original scout but people like you can't figure it out.
Wonderful restoration and an even better background story!
Beautifull 442 👍👍🙂 I painted my 68 Chevelle Olds Viking Blue 👍🙂 Wish I still had my 72 Cutlass and my 76 Cutlass was a great car till wife filled the trans dipstick tube with motor oil
I'd take any old Cutlass at this point...
I can dig it, when I was growing up there were two '72s in my neighborhood, one yellow and one orange.
They are cool. A friend loaned me his back in the early 1980s. It was a bear to drive.
My dad bought a silver '66 Charger and to this day the kids in the neighborhood all remember it. He took the family (with THREE kids in back) on road trips in it. Plenty of room back there for 3 young kids with no car seats to get in the way! I'm looking for a video of the engine starting to see if it sounds the same as it does in my memory.
Once saw a '66 in silver for sale near my house when I lived in Phoenix. Wish I had bought it.
500.00 well spent
He got his money's worth in the first week.
Save it for restoration; and the right buyer will realize a hefty profit if flipped to a new keeper!
My guess is that he'll drive it until he dies.
The deep state stole my first truck
Darn nice cars man💯😎
It's nice that Ken cares for them.
looks like a fun little Ferrari
Great styling. No power.
A courageous motorist! ☝👍
You said it.
I always liked the IH s 😊
They were neat.
Great find and a bargain!❤
We should all be so lucky.
