    Hey! You guys are great! Love the new podcast! But I have to point out that y'all mounted the charger backwards.
    The way it's mounted, the small control panel and labels are upside down when you open the console and look in. It's important because the NOCO chargers have a few different settings and colored indicator lights. It's not a huge issue, certainly not a functional one, but I think small details combine to determine the overall boating experience.
    Keep doing your thing and I'll keep watching! Thx!

    I've had a NOCO two banker on my boat for several years. Works great and BTF out of dragging chargers on and off the boat.

    @born again boating, which type of charge do you recommend for two banks/batteries?

    What is in the side wall that you could just run screws into? Depth, material that would take the shock of waves and it didn't sound like the screws really grabbed anything with the sound of the drill or clutch setting. What about the routing of lines, do you have to worry about EMF on boats and interference of other equipment? Like radios etc... Just wondering, not trying to bust balls.

      If it's in a console, you shouldn't have to worry about it interfering with any electronics. I did have a windshield wiper motor, somehow magnetize the arm, and it was messing with the compass.

    Great video I have the same boat. Are you finding that these boats need more than one house battery? I have a YF 26 too & the evo19 starts to dim-out after a few hours of running

      I assume from low voltage….because if i switch to emergency parallel it brightens back up

    The BEST way is to charge them individually 1st !! The directions on my lithium batteries say that. 🤷‍♂️

      Just some stainless steel screws, can't remember the length or number, I think #8s but could have been #6s

    I have 3ea 12volt batteries to run my 36volt trolling motor. I have a 4 bank battery charger to charge the 3 + the house battery. When these batteries die or stop holding a charge.....I was wondering about lithium's to save weight. Maybe you can do a video talking about lithium boat batteries, the good and the bad and the on-board chargers. Thanks.

    I was wondering, i got a great deal on a floaded boat with enginge. its a yamaha 115f thats ran 190 hours, thats been underwater. I know worst case i could desamble the enginge and sell parts, but is it worth and does it work do break down the enginge, clean it and rebuild it if its not fully rusted? i have alot of experience on yamaha enginge, but never never dismantle an engine entirly. Thanks for answer!

    Great Channel! Thanks for this video,
    I have a question, I have the same charge and in my boat I have a battery for to start the engine and 2 additional batteries for a 24v trolling motor, can the charge terminals be left connected to each individual battery or do they have to be connected and disconnected each time they need to be charged?

    • @DB-drdan
      @DB-drdan ปีที่แล้ว

      They stay connected. The system has a memory and will go to the settings you have chosen each time you plug in.

    The Genus charger absolutely SUCK. You have to hit the power button ever time you plug it in and for each bank! Most normal chargers, you can plug in shore power and walk away!

    So does the power plug go into the inverter?

    • @USAFTACP
      @USAFTACP ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, you plug the charger in to an extention cord or can wire in a bulk head plug.

    • @chiphill4856
      @chiphill4856 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, the plug does not plug into the inverter. That would be free energy. It plugs into shore power with a regular extension cord.

    Where would you cut to extend the leads?

    • @Carnivorefitness2024

      Just cut the ring connectors off and spice it there, I had to do that for one of my batteries, Noco said it wouldnt void the warranty.

    • @chiphill4856
      @chiphill4856 ปีที่แล้ว

      Pretty sure all 3 pairs of battery leads need to be the same length. These chargers measure minute differences in voltage and current.
