@@shanefaulkner4071 They missed everything by not focusing on the song. Black is the hallmark in which to judge these You Tubers knowledge of music. Not hard to get the meaning behind this song if you pay attention to it.
Back when MTV was good, and was still about music. The Unplugged series was amazing most of the time and it still baffles me why no network or outlet has continued with this model given how successful it was. And this definitely was the Grunge era. Maybe that's what made this show so popular? With bands like Pearl Jam, Nirvana and Alice In Chains how could it not be legendary? The live sessions from this show are some of the most popular from the bands who appeared on it and probably sold millions of copies in their own right. It just feels so honest and natural, unlike so many other "live" music shows before it or since. I don't think anything else has been able to capture the magic they routinely caught on mics and cameras at these performances.
Anyone who says this is a half full glass of wine rating has no respect from me. You should have not talked through half the video without pausing it and absorbed the masterpiece.
I love this video! It cracked me up in a very good way. Some of those comments were classic! Don’t listen to too much Pearl Jam as it may become the only thing you end up listening to... it has happened to many, many of us! 😁👍🍷
Hi Cash, hi John ! Nice reaction to Pearl Jam! MTV had a great string of "unplugged" performances by a string of legendary artists - they were always exciting and entertaining !
If that isn't a full glass then what the hell is? That is one of the greatest performances of all time. It is about unrequited love and not being with someone you adore. It is a true story from Eddie Vedder. Can't you see and feel the raw emotion of it?
This song is a good performer. 🍺🍺🍺 Y'all might like a later Pearl Jam song "Just Breathe". Willie Nelson and his son covered "Just Breathe" also. Both versions are great. Speaking of Johnny Cash, he did a cover version of Soundgarden's "Rusty Cage", with Soundgarden backing him up. I'd check it out! Soundgarden was a Seattle band also.
There is a triumvirate of 90's "grunge" music.... and that is Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, and Alice in Chains. Nirvana was kind of its own thing, in my opinion, but definitely grunge at times.
Eddie Vedder: All I'll beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee YEAH! : that's a great guitar 😐
Great song selection guys 😊! This is one of those songs which sounds fantastic live, it’s also the strongest track from their debut album ‘Ten’. There’s another live version which you should check out too, it was filmed at Pinkpop in 1992. Which version is better? I think the Pinkpop version probably just wins… but lots of people think the unplugged version is far superior. I would give this a full glass! I’m always coming back to this on YT 👍.
I just subscribed. I've been watching all your videos and I love your honesty. Plus you are very easy on the eyes and pleasant to listen to. May I suggest Dirty by grandson? He's a more recent artist that I think you may enjoy. I love all the content you've put out so far and encourage you to keep doing what you're doing!
Grunge. Seattle. Recommend you pause for longer reactions cuz its sometimes hard to catch what you're saying. Otherwise keep it going. Check out Alice in Chains Unplugged any song, Soundgarden. Pay close Attention to the lyrics of all these rock songs. They are incredibly meaningful. Rock singers tend to pour their hearts into their writing. Just reacting to the song without really understanding the subject matter is missing half of it. Lyrics and their meaning is why this tune was so big. Eddie's emotional investment in this performance only makes sense if you know the lyrics and why this song was written. Why the band didn't want it to become a hit. But it did.
That's exactly what I was thinking, I was like oh my god you are missing the best parts and yapping about nothing throughout. Yes great set, nice guitar, nice hat. But I felt like it was more reaction to those things than the song and singer.
Good song and reaction cash. Please react to Amanda marshall’s songs (I believe in you ) and (Let it rain). I promise a full glass of wine and then some…….
Can you please react to this. I think you will love it.. This is an amazing newer singer from the Netherlands. I can't think of anyone with a better voice.. Powerful, intense and so very unique. This is the ridiculously beautiful DAVINA MICHELLE with an original song. (ON TH-cam) DAVINA MICHELLE "SKYWARD"
In order to enjoy a song, you have to shut up and quit talking through the key points of the song, of course you couldn't actually 3njoy it. You haven't even actually listened to it yet Unscripted at this point.
If you stopped focusing on the nice guitars and nice hat it’s been a full glass for the last 30 years
go one step further - actually listened to the lyric. "...Beautiful life...sun in someone else sky" is one of the most iconic lyrics from the era.

😮 I can't believe how IGNORANT they are!!! No attention to the lyrics, or the vocals.... 😢
Wow! Only a half glass? That man just poured his heart out
If this wasn't worthy of a FULL glass, well IDK what is?
If they shut up and listen its a over flowing glass
A full case of wine for this one crazies
This is one of the best performances of all
Time 😂 your friend is insane.
Ah he's just jealous..
full glass for sure. This is one of my favorite versions of this song. Eddie Vedder has such a great voice. Check out more of their stuff.
That entire Pearl Jam episode of 'Unplugged' is a classic. I remember what a big deal it was when it came out.
Another great reaction Cash and Jon. This whole unplugged set was amazing.
yeah, i like esas observaciones.

Vh1 did Storytellers which was really good as well.
NPR tiny desk concerts?

I can't chatter nonstop and appreciate good music at the same time. That Brit has talent.
I love this video! It cracked me up in a very good way. Some of those comments were classic! Don’t listen to too much Pearl Jam as it may become the only thing you end up listening to... it has happened to many, many of us! 😁👍🍷
Absolutely stunning song and performance!!!
Full of emotion, just beautiful
THANKS FOR HIJACKONG THE REAL CHARISMATIC VOICE...YOU DAWG

Great reaction Cash!!! And Pearl Jam is out of Seattle WA.
I was 14-15 when this came out and Eddie Vedder has been my favorite vocalist ever since :P
My cup definitely runneth over !!! More PJ please !!!!!
Hi Cash, hi John !
Nice reaction to Pearl Jam!
MTV had a great string of "unplugged" performances by a string of legendary artists - they were always exciting and entertaining !
\m/\m/\m/
They are a Seattle band. Came out at the same time as Nirvana and Soundgarden in Seattle. Just as popular and successful as the other two.
What a great song. So. So good.
PearlJam was one of grunge rocks big 4 bands that made the genre famous.
hope you can keep up the reactions coming, great fun
More coming soon!
That's half a glass just for those who don't know how to truly appreciate good music. :)
Yes I love this song

Are they watching the video on mute? "Look at that hair" "look at the hat" "great set" "great guitar"
Eddie Vedder: All I'll beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee YEAH!
: that's a great guitar
😐
Hey thanks
If that ain’t full I ain’t breathing anymore
The audience is quiet bc this is being filmed and recorded for an album/ video
Should be quiet while a God is pouring his soul out anyway .
They are part of the grunge and also the Seattle sound

Washington Grunge leaders. Eddy was, if you were to noticed, was in serious pain from a failed relationship. Oh, they had hats?
Grunge. Seattle.

Next you should listen to Jeremy, but not the live version but the video, specifically the uncensored version.
Please react to Nightwish's "Ghost love Score" live @ Wacken13
too hard to watch. she kept talking over the best parts of his voice
That's exactly what I was thinking, I was like oh my god you are missing the best parts and yapping about nothing throughout. Yes great set, nice guitar, nice hat. But I felt like it was more reaction to those things than the song and singer.
One and done here. Horrible reaction and way too much yapping about nothing through it.
How did you teach that dalmatian to hold so still?
Which one🍷🍷
🍷
Oh no why not full glass🥲 maybe listen to the original version
Good song and reaction cash. Please react to Amanda marshall’s songs (I believe in you ) and (Let it rain). I promise a full glass of wine and then some…….
Hey Cash, please give a listen to, "In Hell I'll Be In Good Company" by The Dead South....I think you will find it entertaining...
Dobrow guitar
Very grungy 🤣 pearl jam, nirvana, soundgarden were the forefront of grunge.
Can you please react to this. I think you will love it.. This is an amazing newer singer from the Netherlands. I can't think of anyone with a better voice.. Powerful, intense and so very unique. Unscripted at this point.
Thumbing down was not directed to you but to the song. Have another glass of wine on me.
Shenanigans
How lol
Jens - just my personal opinion but pearl jam sucks.
@@osu_ndn Fair enough. Some people don't get it.
Jens - I mean no disrespect to you whatsoever. It's just not my thing. I'm sure that some of my musical taste would turn you off.
