Another sugestion... Prong - Bizarre Festival 1996
😂😂😂
Sorry to burst your bubble, this IS Pearl Jam. Unplugged stuff was the watering down version just for the unplugged just like Nirvana.. or Alice in Chains is not the cannon of those bands
That should not be a problem with anyone MAAM 🙏👍
This is the Pearl Jam that everyone fell in love w/ 30 years ago when they first came out.
All I know is when I saw this video I lost my head and it's still amazing
Eddie climbing rafters and crowd surfing was a pretty regular occurrence
@@AlohaTrev I was in college when I first saw this video and there was no fresh rock everything was ballads fell in love with Pearl Jam ever since I was going to take my son to his first concert down in Tennessee to the Sea Pearl Jam then covid hit now it's going to be a lot more expensive LOL
This is still one of the best albums ever recorded.
Alive was the first video. Evenflow came next. And then Jeremy sent them into the stratosphere.
This is who Pearl Jam has always been.
In my world, Pearl Jam was one of, if not the best bands to come out of the "Grundge" era. Eddie's voice, energy and lyrics was all that!!
For me they rank second, behind only Alice In Chains, who were amazing for years.
agree. nirvana gets all the attention, but i think pearl jam was better. i was big on soundgarden too, but they were much heavier than grunge.
Nirvana is famous only because Kurt offed himself, they do have some nice songs, but Alice in Chains has NICE ALBUMS, so i totally agree with you@@zzz7zzz9
@@SilentBob731same. pj is a close second.
Definitely debatable. For me it is Alice in Chains. Eddie and Layne's voices are undoubtedly some of the best ever though.
I've always liked Pearl Jam. Have all their albums and saw them live several times...But their energy in those early years was really something extra special.
It would be cool to see you react to Pearl Jams pinkpop 1992 concert. I think you'd really enjoy it. Cheers, and thanks for all the entertaining content you put out.
The greatest stage dive in history during Porch.
Eddie was never in any danger. His fans would always catch him. In the early years Eddie was known to climb up to the raptures and crowd surfing.
One of Pearl Jam's big influences was the who. Pearl Jam's cover of Baba O'Reilly is 🔥
Their “Love reign o’er me” is great too
@@Bear78420 Amazing.
🥰 LOVED ur reaction!! If you wanna see more of what us OG PJ fans affectionately call "Crazy Eddie"... check out Pearl Jam's "PORCH" live at Pink Pop '92 performance. It'll blow your mind!!
Fun Fact: the story of what happened during PORCH at Pink Pop in 1992 came full circle a few yrs ago when Eddie finally met the cameraman who was involved.😉 For over 2 decades Eddie had thought the camera man must've hated him. Turns out, the camera man told him he had the time of his life that day!! Ed was relieved.😊
Anyway, great reaction! Peace and light...💞
EDIT: Oh and to give u a little perspective on any and all MTV Unplugged performances (with PJ or any other band)... part if the requirements of performing the unplugged sessions was that they were to remain seated which was a REAL struggle for Eddie! lol!!!😜🤣😂
Keep in mind that Pearl Jam became famous in the early 90s mainstream with their rock sound. The more subdued sounds of them and other bands on MTV unplugged was a great changeup, that came later and added a whole new direction of popularity to Pearl Jam and other bands.
React to Pearl Jam Sirens, please 🙏🏼
Yes 👍🏽
I’ve got a cool story about Eddie Vedder. First I worked for an insurance company back in the day in the special lines field and remember actually speaking to Eddie about his boat policy! He said enjoyed calling instead of his agent! Very down to Earth and later we were able to meet at a Seattle Pearl Jam show so he was able to put a face to the voice on the phone 📱. ILL NEVER FORGET IT! RIP CHRIS CORNELL. The Seattle scene in the early 1990’s is unsurpassed by anything going on today!
I saw Pearl Jam on LOLLAPOLOOZA 92 with Red Hot Chili Peppers, Ministry, Soundgarden, Jesus & Mary Chain, Ice Cube, Cypress Hill…
Probably my favorite grunge band. They can rock out with faster stuff like “Even Flow”, “Once”, “State of Love and Trust”, but then they can tear you apart emotionally on the very next song. Hidden away within each album are a few lines of the most beautiful poetry.
Some great gems to listen to:
“Immortality”
“Indifference”
“Porch”
“Just Breathe”
“Garden”
“Rearviewmirror”
"Release" was always a particular favourite of mine.
Corduroy is another corker ,good choices
This my friend is the REAL Pearl Jam. The unplugged was a Very toned down more behaved version, understandably so given the premiss of that MTV show. Eddie is known for his crazy stunts and crowd surfing in their live show mainly during the song Porch. This video in the instrumental part shows different parts of their live show in total and clips of Eddie climbing and jumping was always done during that other song. I recommend watching "Porch" live at Pinkpop Festival and see a real time version of something like this happening.
Biscutte you need to see a Pearl jam concert, it's orgasmic
If you want to see something AMAZING in regards to an audience interaction with a band live, Pearl Jam Better Man live at Madison Square Garden.
Pearl Jam is epic! Eddie Vedder is one of the best vocalist ever. The song is about a homeless man making a pillow made concrete.Oh yet someday he has hope of beginning his life again.
Hi Bisscute, as a big Pearl Jam fan I'm happy that you reacting to more of their performances. I would recommend you check "Release " - live in Holland 1992 , a song with lot of emotional context to Eddie and I would like you to react to "Corduroy " - live at Wrigley 2018 as well. And remember, Its 2023 and Pearl Jam are still touring and doing 2/ 3 hours concerts.
First time I saw PJ was on the Vs tour,15th row center at the Fox Theater in StL. Curtains around the stage. Band comes out and starts playing Release as the curtains were slowly pulled back. Never seen an opening like it before or since. No house lights, no stage lights, just the roar of the crowd, and just the stage illuminated with at least a hundred burning candles in candelabras onstage, as Eddie starts in with the "ohhhhhhhhhh...ohhhhhhhh....It was a borderline spiritual experience! I never even noticed how they got the candles put out, after noticing they weren't lit anymore after the 2nd or 3rd song, I was that locked in. I will never forget the energy of the band, the crowd, or that show! It was transcendent, one of the 10 best concerts I've ever seen, out of 200+.
My favourite 90’s band. Most of my teenage years were lived with these guys as my soundtrack. So awesome. Please do more reactions to them. Saw PJ in concert 3 times. They are incredible live. Eddie’s vocals are some of the best ever.
Pearl Jam was one of the first concerts I went to as a kid in the 90s, and their first album (Ten) is the first album I bought. Such good memories to watch these reactions.
Great music. Trust. Community. We were all we had. We had to catch each other when we fell...or jumped.
The venue here is the Moore Theater in Seattle. The Moore was arguably the center of the 'grunge' universe in the late 80's and early 90's. I went to quite a few concerts there at this time, although I missed this show due to abject poverty. Many of the giants of the time: Soundgarden, Mother Love Bone, Alice in Chains, Nirvana, Mudhoney, etc were featured here. In fact, the original 'grunge' concert, the Lame Fest, opened in June 1989 with Nirvana and Tad opening for Mudhoney. This concert shows you what you would have expected at the Moore. Definitely not for the faint of heart, or the sober. It's great to see you react to some of the original Pearl Jam. This is the band I grew up with, the high energy and stage antics that gave stage managers heart attacks. Loved the reaction, Biss. You never fail to disappoint! Blessings.
Eddie was in the safest hands, no risk but still badass as hell🤟
Eddie was a madman, there was nothing he wouldn't a) climb up and b) launch off... X D
Great song. I saw them live in Milwaukee back in around 2015. Still the best concert I have ever been to. Venue tried to cut them off due to a 10pm curfew, and I'm defiance they played until 11 even with the house lights on. Incredible stuff. Eddie also drank three full bottles of wine on stage that night by himself. It was something else.
I remember this being their first song on MTV. Perhaps Alive was first 🤷
"A different, Pearl Jam"...........LOL The REAL PJ, from back in MY Day. This is the Band, l 1st saw. in 92.
Hi biss, honestly this is the real pearl jam, mtv was unplug so nothing electric , he was a very versatile singer, played with other artists and did covers of old songs he loved, P.S. a very very good recent live , is "better man"when they were inducted into the rocknroll hall of fame. song starts slow but then picks up big time, same good voice and energy 👍👍
Pearl Jam está en el salón de la fama y Alice in chains no? 😂
This is Pearl Jam!!
Hi Biss 😊 I'm so glad you reacted to this song! 🎵 here are a couple of suggestions
Pearl Jam - Elderly Woman Behind the Counter in a Small Town
Peter Gabriel - In Your Eyes (Secret World Live 1994)
Great reaction!
I got to see them at Lollapalloza while in college. Still my favorite concert I've attended to this day. Of course the list of bands that day was pretty fantastic.
This song was part of my childhood. Espeically growing up near Seattle.
I'll be 34 this October man this is one of my all time favorites songs ever since I was a little kid love Eddie such a great singer
Eddie definitely pulled alot of antics on stage! He was a wild man in his prime! That's a part of what made Pearl Jam concerts SO MUCH FUN! ❤
- PJ one of the best live bands, still today. Ticket holders get their money's worth.
- After years of thrashing around like that (and living to tell about it, after climbing all that rigging), you tend to settle down - and get your hair cut.
- Need Yellow Ledbetter (a PJ classic), for a PJ change-of-direction tearjerker. A simple three-chord song, but you appreciate how great Eddie Vedder's interpretive voice is, when you hear others attempt to cover that tune. It just kind of lays flat and doesn't do much, until he gets hold of it - and then it sparkles with his great delivery.
- As a huge James Taylor fan, I initially laughed and thought "yeah, right" when I heard him cover "You Can Close Your Eyes." But I shut up real quick after I heard him sing it. This guy is no hack - he backs up that gruff voice of his with lots of emotion.
- Need her to say "moose and squirrel" (as Natasha from the Rocky and Bullwinkle cartoons). I LOVE her accent - the way she rolls her "r's".
This is what its like when you love music.
You play it, and you just go somewhere else, it lives through you.
When playing with your friends, and it just flows.. Unless you know, you cant describe that feeling.
Pearl jam - Oceans - Sirens - Just Breathe... uff
You should have seen the singer from "boy hits car" do a 100 foot stage dive!! It was insane!! He started coughing up blood but was released from the hospital and immediately came back to the festival and kept hanging out. The video is on TH-cam. They have some really good music.
I saw Lallapalooza 2, they were absolutely incredible a true top tier event. Pearl Jam and Soundgarden same day plus Red Hot Chili Peppers, Ministry, Ice Cube, Jesus and Mary Chain, and Lush. What a day!!
Dang. That must’ve been an incredible show to attend. Jealous.
My favorite song from Pearl jam.
This song is about a homeless person (also named Ed) that Eddie met while recording their first album in downtown Seattle. He used to buy him a sandwich outside the studio most days until Ed disappeared forever. Porch from PinkPop back in 1992 is must see. You still have not seen arguably the best video ever made. The official uncensored video of Jeremy won MTV video of the year back in the day and is still widely considered best ever. It will create a reaction for you for sure.
I loved it. I loved the song, loved the video and reaction
first Pearl Jam album was one of the best rock albums ever🤘🤘🤘🤘
Great response
Man... Great memories. Driving around in GTA San Andreas and this song comes on the radio was an epic treat. One of the best songs in a GTA soundtrack, and the song that almost every non Pearl Jam fan knows the minute they hear it even if they don't know the band.
Glad you liked the reaction
I saw them on this tour and the whole show was high energy like this video. By the time the show was over EVERYONE was soaking wet from sweating from jumping around! One of the best shows I have seen.
Been waiting for another Pearl Jam reaction
Check out their live performance of the song "Porch" at PinkPop Festival in 92.
You were so freaked out when he jumped 🤣. It's called crowd surfing and he did it a lot in those days. Not just him but some of the audience too. it was fairly common back in the day 😄
One of the best song by Pearl Jam
This ain't different PJ....it's PJ😆
Those of us who were teens when Pearl Jam came out knew this side of the band first and unplugged later. Most reactors see Black unplugged version first and have a different perspective. You must watch their performance of Porch at Pink Pop 1992. You'll see why the word jam is in their name. The band could improvise and jam out while Eddie was off doing crazy Eddie things. That's their energy.
Pink Pop '92- Porch
That was a jump 😂😂😂😂
👏👏👏 I love it
A '90s classic, this video used to play on MTV every hour like "Jeremy" and any Nirvana, Guns N' Roses, and Metallica video during 1991-1994. I was a big fan of the midnight show 120 Minutes, where you could discover new bands every week, and see other Alternative Rock classics. Same as Headbangers Ball but focused on Metal.
my mom was a superfan of pearl jam. she used to play them all the time in car.
Their unplugged sessions were great, but this is the real Pearl Jam.
I think I've already told you this, but Eddie was known for doing stuff, and really, he wasn't even that high in the video. He use to do stuff like that at big shows where he'd climb the scaffolding of the stage, and jump from way high up. It's actually super dangerous. My best friend's older brother died stage diving off the balcony at a show like in the video.
I love your reaction to a great song Miss Bisscute.💓💓💓 Seeing you enjoy the music, moving your head to the beat of the music is great.👍👍 Please for future Pearl Jam reactions: "Do the evolution" original video.
By far the best lineup of the band. This video really set fire to their careers.
This versión in full energy. Nice reaction
Alive ....next, pleeeeaaase!❤
Pearl Jams "portfolio" is full of Power Rock Songs like this. Actually - this IS Pearl Jam. They do have slower songs but mostly they are a power house full of energizing songs.
Many Live Sessions of them were great.
My recommendations:
Rearviewmirror - Live from Pinkpop 2000 (yes - 2000)
Given to fly - almost any version, but Live in 2000 Riverport Amphitheater is nice cause the beginning is really charming and just shows how Eddie is interested in his audience
Better Man - 2010 Madison Square Garden - the beginning supports his interaction with the audience in a really special way
And many, many further songs. I got to know Pearl Jam in 1992 and they still are one of my most favorite bands / musicians.
🔥🔥🔥💣🔥🔥🔥 .. so .. this IS Pearl Jam .. your other reactions were to their toned down versions .. THIS is how they ROCK !! 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
Listen to the entire album of Ten... One of the greatest albums... Ever. It got me through so much while in High School.
You should see "Porach" from Pinkpop festival! What he didcthere was... omg 🤯
This isn't "different" Pearl Jam, this is original Pearl Jam.... What we started with.
This is the 'real' Pearl Jam, the MTV unplugged stuff came later after they were huge. This is how they became super famous.
I think my favorite Pearl Jam song will always be Yellow Ledbetter, but this was the first and will always take me back to that young Gen X kid seeing the cultural zeitgeist change overnight.
Evenflow was the second hit after alive.
He did this song while sitting down. I believe it was the unplugged concert.
This is core Pearl Jam...they became more folky after Vitalogy, their 3rd album, but originally they were the epitome of grunge.
Another iconic voice
Their album Ten (which this song is from) is said by some to be one of the best albums ever. The album is amazing start to finish.
You should check their live version of porch at Pinkpop to see how energetic and amazing they're when they're rocking out.
Biss get ready lady. This is a rock concert!!! Eddie is woundup tight for this one!!!
One of the best live shows I've seen...he didn't do the jump but that is aweseom.
Pearl Jam 10 has to go down in the top 10 if not 5 debut albums of any band. That album being so great for a first album is crazy. It's like GnR Appetite for Destruction.
Oh? ❤️
Hey there Bisscute!!! I clicked on this because I had to watch you watch Eddie. He is a bit of a mad man in this video. Poor Josh got fired after this show. Eddie is actually a good vocalist!!! A bit of a wild man in this one!!! Wait until he starts climbing and swinging around. When he starts crowd surfing, it is a good thing Josh was not the one to catch him!!! OR he would have hit the floor.... Overall this is a good video & song!!! Grunge for sure!!!!! Take care lady............
Pearl Jam, "Porch", live in Pinkpop 1992.
Eddie is one of the greatest performers on stage from the 90s
Keep ‘em coming Biss I love your reactions
It’s been documented that the band use to freak out when Eddie did that because some of the band members just lost their previous singer to drug overdose. They were like we can’t lose another. Haha highly recommend watching PJ 20. Their live performance at Funk Pop Festival is epic, put them on the map, with of course the Jeremy video. Their energy in the early shows where amazing, love to have gone to one of them.
Truly one of the greatest debut albums of all-time, and an absolute classic overall.
Not a bad tune on this one. 👍
Eddie is one of my top 10 singers and PJ is most definitely one of my top 10 bands 💪🏾
The best thing I did in the 90s was still this album of my older sister and when she found out we were both into the same music it was the first time we connected
Gotta do his performance of Bob Dylan’s masters of war.
i miss this pearl jam ❤❤
Their first album was So good 👍
I remember hearing this song for the first time... it was at a junior high school fundraising car wash.. The album was just released and this song along with ALIVE were all we knew about PJ.. one of my favorite bands...
I GET TO SEE THEM LIVE for the first time in Austin tomorrow.. Rock on .. thanks for the video.
For an even better live Pearl Jam high energy video look for “Porch” from the Pinkpop Festival. Insane.
I was 16, imagine how i love this !
Great Reaction Pearl Jam gets alot crazier than this. Saw them live and it was awesome
Hello everyone! For me the best version is "Pearl Jam - Even Flow (Live in Hyde Park 2010)" enjoy!!!
Might check it out on my own sometime ❤️
PJ's Ten is on my list of perfect albums. 🤘
To Me, the best live band going right now (going again really), is "Crowded House". I've seen 15+ shows since the 90's. So many people sing during so many shows, some times it's amazing at a CH show. Like I get a buzz from a thousand people singing a 17 part harmony, songs get extended because of it.
I was a show in Chicago a few months back, I had a moment singing, I couldn't hear anything but I felt amazing. At the end of the song people were touching me and crap it was weird, My Wife was looking at Me like I've never really seen before. There's videos all over TH-cam, I dunno if anyone's reacted or if CH is litigious, but amazing live shows.
Ughhh! Youre sooo beautiful! Such a sweet soul ❤️. Congrats on closing in on a year! 🎉
We did this all the time in the 90s, it was an amazing time to be alive and late teens early 20s
Pearl jam - Go .. there heaviest song
This is what most of their early stuff sounded and felt like. Aggressive, raw, yet frequently melodic while also being very hard, with amazing jam sections and guitar solos. Eveflow is from their first album, Ten. This one and the next album, Vs, were for me the 2 best grunge rock albums of the 1990s. They were just magic on those first 2 albums. Better than Nirvana, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, etc. If you want anyone to know what Seattle Grunge music is...Ten and Vs are 2 of the best albums to listen to.
Watch their show at PinkPop in 1992, completely insane!
These guys use to play at the Tavern that I worked at as a bouncer!!!! Also saw Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana, and The Butthole Surfers, plus others that I don't recall!!!!!
