If you want to see their concert energy, check out their performance of Porch from Pinkpop 1992. Put on a seatbelt. That said, great reaction and great choice of songs/performances.
That was totally awesome reaction!!! Pearl Jam are my favorite band on this crazy planet!! Eddie Vedder ( singer) very emotional front man, when this man is on stage he puts everything he got on that stage. LOTS OF ENERGY!! MORE PEARL JAM PLEASE! THANK YOU!! 😊🩷🤘✌️
Watch and record all three for us. Black doesn’t have an official video, but Alive and Even Flow do. Both have concert footage so you can experience some of that energy.
These guys, Alice and chains, nirvana, sound garden, stone temple pilots , smashing pumpkins and a few others made up the grunge sound that came out of Seattle at the same time….. and all were really good
@@brianforrester9670 The thing about it though was that everyone from Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Nirvana, Pearl Jam and so many other bands out of Seattle all knew one another and really shared their music with each other.
When their first album came out (Ten) back in the early 90's i just played this back to back in my car, i couldn't get enough. Still a big fan and I hope they come to Melbourne on their next tour.
This Unplugged Show is legendary. However, Pearl Jam is probably the best live band I have ever seen. The official video for Evenflow has insane energy. I'll watch it after a bad day and my mood is lifted immediately. Alive was the first single released from the Ten Album. There was a time in the early 90's where you heard these songs playing on every car stereo wherever you went. Pearl Jam is considered part of the grunge scene that came out of Seattle in the early 90's that included Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Nirvana and some other really great bands. Grunge was kind of a catch all term because the bands varied in style but the intense vocals and DIY attitude of the bands were similar. Thank you for the reaction. Pearl Jam is the only Seattle band from that era that has survived almost intact.(Drummers varied until 1998.) They're a work on a new album and tour.
It is like the British invasion of the 60"s. the music followed some sort of a vibe but each band brought their own light. Same for the Grunge movement in Seattle. Alice and Chains Soundgarden nirvana and so forth..same vibe different artist expression
Watch Porch... either here on the Unplugged or live at Pinkpop. Then watch the actual videos of Alive, Jeremy and Even Flow. Then watch Do The Evolution from many years later! (They didn't want to make videos.)
If you do more Pearl Jam I would also suggest their live performance at Pinkpop 92 of their song Porch if you really want to see Eddie perform. Also the song Hunger Strike by Temple of the Dog that features band members of Soundgarden and Pearl Jam that came back around the same time as this would be a great song to react to.
I skipped over the basketball bits titled "Origin of their name", but... you know what "toe jam" is. "pearl" is slang for the most intimate part of the female anatomy. "pearl jam". think about it.
@@KingGreatnessKG It's called the Momma-Son trilogy, it is dark and messed up story across the 3 songs. Alive is actually a song about a boy that finds out his real father is dead. His mother begins a incestous relationship with him because he looks like his dead father. That's is what the song was initially about, but Eddie Vedder has said the song now belongs to the fan and means what it means to them. Those were the first 3 songs he wrote trying to join what would later be called Pearl Jam

The rift to Yellow Ledbetter is perfection.

"Porch" unplugged! Absolutely amazing! #pearljam ❤️

To be fair, Pumpkins (Chicago) and STP (So. Cal.) weren't Seattle bands.
True, but when I put the word grunge down I was pot committed lol
STP and Smashing Pumpkins weren't grunge. Definitely not Smashing Pumpkins.

Jeremy by Pearl Jam the official uncensored video is amazing
Great reaction, would love to hear more Pearl Jam! I second the requests for “Porch” live at Pinkpop ‘92 and “Jeremy” official video uncensored ❤

Would love to see you react to the uncensored Jeremy video by PJ.

Eddie Veddar (lead singer) is usually all over the stage and trying to find shit to jump off of into the crowd. Incredible vocalist! xo
Great reaction! Jealous of your beard. Keep it tight!

Eddie Vedder
Uns see Jeremy
May i please ask, why do some Americans say "axe" instead of "ask"? Seems to only be an American thing and I'm just curious!
Like anything else I’d say it’s just like how some British people say “fing” instead of “thing” The English language is very malleable. Dialectical
If you were going to do a Pearl Jam 3 song reaction then it should have been Alive, Once and Footsteps since they are 3 parts to a story.
😳😧🤯 really?
