I didn't know that köd had gone international. The mash potato is actually called Brændende Kærlighed aka burning love and it's a very traditional Danish family meal 😊😊
Everyone complaining that it isn’t a Sunday roast, forgets that he isn’t British and that the menu refers to it as a Sunday roast. Like how’s he really meant to know😂
@@somethingisbaking2401why is this upvoted lol? It’s a dish that has a tradition… Anyway I don’t really care about Mike getting it wrong either, he seems like someone who enjoys food rather than someone who wants to be an expert
it sounds like the people complaining didn't listen to the part where he said it's a DANISH TAKE ON the idea of Sunday Roast lol...... And also didn't listen to the part right before that where he talks about how he has already had a traditional, classic-style British Sunday Roast a countless number of times before.
The Köd restaurant was just put on my go-to "A" list in London! Yes, for me the Uruguayan steak with the mashed potatoes is where I'm at. In Montevideo go to the Pulperia restaurant for the best steaks! It off the beaten track & mostly locals! The steak houses in the Mercado del Puerto are tourist rip-offs on the most part!
Haha Didn’t know they were serving brændende kærlighed at restaurents! The potato mash and bacon is a stable when we are going on scout-trips as it is very easy to make, fills you up and is popular with the kids XD Must be VERY heavy as a side to a steak though… it’s a very hardy dish
Fun fact: In Denmark it is a must to ask foreingers to try and say "Rødgrød med fløde" because it is so difficult xD You got the very fancy version, normally it is a strawberry puree with heavy cream or milk on top - ate it a lot as a kid, and i would always mix it up and call it "Lyserødgrød" which can be translated to pink puree. The word grød is very weird because we also use it for porridge, so everything that is kind of like a porridge, even if it is an apple puree, we will use the word grød for. We actually have a resturant named Grød in Copenhagen that serves a lot of different types c:
I can see why this place is booked up for weeks, now. For about $100 USD, that's a heck of a deal for all that seafood! Those desserts all look amazing, too. But that Danish Sunday roast had my jaw hanging. We Texans are all about our steak, as you well know by now--was it up to TX standards, is my question?
The first steak is a tri-tip roast. The other ones were steaks. Which he clearly stated was a Danish twist on Sunday roast. Yes, I do know what a proper Sunday roast is. I ran restaurants in London.
he says the same 5-6 phrases to describe everything he eats. his vocabulary hasn't expanded since 7th grade. everything is "uhmaaaaaazing" and every pasta dish is "cooked perfectly al dente".
The chances of me remembering to book are highly unlikely, but those steaks definitely caught my eye, might have to take a trip to London at some point.
OMG Mikey, I just came across the food and travel show View and Chew on Amazon Prime, you were an absolute star, you're such a natural and your jokes are soooooo FUNNY. I don't know why the major food networks haven't signed you up. I do prefer your haircut in that series though, the combover is so hot !
wish i knew you were in london i am one of your biggest fans. how you maintain athletic physique while eating and eating and all you can eating is sooooo amazing 😍
for those who need a reference on what an A4 cut of wagyu is, it is equivalent marbling wise to a high marbled prime cut. A5 is when you have the picturesque ones you see in media.
I know when i think of local british cuisine, i instantly think "japanese sushi" 🙄😅 like what was even the point of going to London to eat almost everything except the local stuff?? Thats like going to Italy and ordering McDonalds lol

Hello Mr. Mike Chen!!! We should go to Nobu London, get the all you can eat buffet & then eat up all the food!!! That would be so amazing!!!! 😆😍🤣😂❤️🤘👊🍻🍺🍣🍣🍣🌮🥃🥂🍷🚬
Don't know if your still in London, but every London based youtube channel I watch is in love with a restaurant in London called Fallow. You might give it a try. I would love that buffet, but I would only be able to eat there once a year or so, I love sushi and sashimi but the texture is a stumbling point for me.
I didn't know that köd had gone international. The mash potato is actually called Brændende Kærlighed aka burning love and it's a very traditional Danish family meal 😊😊
Mike 4 years ago- “I’m not really a raw fish person, sushi in general.”
Now- “tons of sashimi it looks beautiful”
hahahaha no kidding. Funny to see that change over the years
Every time I see Mikey eat sushi I always remember the times he said he doesn't eat raw fish. I think John daub was the right dealer for him.
Lol, every time I see Mike eat any sort of raw fish I think: Gee, I knew him when he didn't even like sushi.😂
I love it
@@frankmacleod2565he still doesn't eat Oysters. 😮

It's because he gets paid to say that.

I am so envious of KOD, your last restaurant. DELICIOUS!!! 🤤❤
I think I remember back in the day you didn't used to eat a lot of sushi, but now that you do I'm here for it!!
Mikey needs to publish an adjective reference book. His vocabulary on how to describe food blows my mind.
Wow this is sushi heaven!! Would love to try this place 😍

Who doesn’t love London 🥰🥰🥰
I would absolutely enjoy myself at this buffet. I love seafood and sushi.
I think Mike LOOOOOOVES tender meat, vinegar, chili oil, dumplings, noodles the most lol
I’m going to have to try the KöD Sunday steak dinner out! Looks absolutely delicious.

The food quality this trip is so superior to your first trip to London.
That price is an absolute steal. If I could I would put in reservations.
Sorry Mike, that a steak dinner, and it's not a roast dinner. But it still looks amazing
Agreed.
100% agree he needs to come around one of are house for a proper Sunday roast he’d be overjoyed 👍

Omg that buffet look so pretty and nice 👍 the food looks great and yummy 😋
What a great menu! I would love this Danish steakhouse - incredible food.
Everything looks so delicious.
welp what to say Mike got some burning love from denmark......In London. ^^
Of all the places in London, an upscale chain restaurant which happens to offer a buffet. How about some local cuisine?
He does alot of buffets. I don't see what the problem is
The British local places didn’t pay for him to shill.
£30 for all you can eat steak is an absolute bargain in London. But that’s still not a roast dinner 😂
aye, no crispy tatties (the chips count I guess?) no yorkshire pudding, no pea's or carrots wrong kind of gravy. good steak though
It’s not really Danish either… I guess the dessert had a grandma who’s cousins friend’s neighbour went to Denmark once 🤷♀️
@@HenrietteAndersen26 Agreed mate. I'm sure it's all tasty but the description is just silly. 😉
It was steak and sides. Wasn't even roasted lol
30 quid down London, I was.not long in London and it was 9 pound a drink ,double price
The crumble is crumbly. Good commentary.
I remember when Mike had an aversion to eating sushi years ago... how far we have come indeed.
Funny, its been a few days WE have been wondering about brunching there during our vacation in London! Thanks for that review!
The UK is a great food place. Surprisingly fantastic. ❤❤😋😋
if it's a tri-tip steak, then it's not a roast dinner, but you already heard this by now. Who cares what they call it. I want one.
Everything looks 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Loving the haircut Mike
One place I would recommend in London is Fellows great place with some unique items on the menu
that cod being 50$ is absolute robbery, maybe if it was bigger

You really need to go to Ned's Sunday buffet at Millie's lounge. All you can eat lobster, oysters and real roast dinner.
Mikey! Are you in London? Would you do a meet and greet with your fans? 🙌😃

Another super fancy buffet that I will never be able to eat. Thanks for sharing, though! :)))

Man’s said 7 pounds for a mini taco as if that’s cheap 💀
The food choices in London are a lot better today than in the 1970s. However in 2023 you had better be prepared to pay high prices for that food.
One of the things I would like to do if I ever get rich, travel around and go to the restaurants Mike went .
I was thinking why was there wooden chopsticks and not metal but remember it was a buffet
That's no sunday roast lol,if it's not roast potatoes and gravy it's no roast here but the food you had in London looks excellent quality for sure.
Who cares, it's better than anything you'll get at any carvery 🤮
@abdul-hadidadkhah1459 obviously you haven't a clue

That buffet looked really good. Kind of weird seeing a UK roast dinner without Yorkshire pudding. Still looked great.
Because it was in no way roast dinner.
Hi Mikey Chen next time you visit london hop onto a train and come and visit Milton Keynes. 🎉
The miso cod is EXCELLENT ❤❤
that looks like the best mashed potato dish in the history of dishes
Oh wow whatta feast 🤤
OH YEAHHHHHHH YOUR RIGHT
No Yorkshire pudding ? 😢 pretty sure I seen something online about British wagyu
That’s what I said!!! Yorkshire pudding is the best part!
I kind of miss the Mike that did street food

Liking the haircut Mike looking younger😅🎉
That ain't no roast dinner
No Yorkshire puddings, etc.! 😏 It's actually Danish so you could have it on Tuesday ffs.
Outside of the 4% of the world population you exist in, that cut of meat is most definitely a roast. Stay in school.
