This is replacing my old arris SB6141 and I plan on replacing my old netgear router. Having a hell of a time registering it with comcast.

@@clandfaf I would most definitely will. This is the coaxial cable I used and is recommended for that type of modem to get the right speed and stable connections. It’s my go to coaxial cable and it works great.

My current Arris surfboard has lights for Upload and Download. My internet provider on provides DOCIS 3.1 for Download, therefore I only get a Blue light on the Download while the Upload is always Green. The lights are different on the S33, I think it is either yes (blue) or no (3.0 green). So what do you get if you only have 3.1 for Download?
**UPDATE**: My light is blue! So, no problem. Works fine.
Well, I have spectrum with docis 3.1 and the light that’s currently on the modem is blue.
I notice this is mainly the 8200 modem its 3.1 but upload stay green and blue download idk why. But its solid modem for sure. I pay for 100 up and 1g down and the s33 gives me that. But man that thing runs hot
@RizzyReign it does runs hot. That’s why I keep a small fan blowing on both the modem and the WiFi router
@@Tech-This-Outyea i had one from amazon same thing. Returned it and got it again from bestbuy it was cheaper. Idk why it runs hot. I feel like i should of went with netgear. But ill try to s33 again. I like the 1200 down and 130 up. I pay for 1g down and 100 up. All i can get rn or id be on fiber

Sorry to rain on your parade, but mine was fast but was down more times than it was operating properly. Taking it back for a refund.
No that’s fine. I only can speak for myself. Up until this day I’ve yet to experience this device shutting down on me and it’s been quite consistent. Maybe because I have it in an open area where it doesn’t get hot I guess.
@@Tech-This-Out I have mine in the open with a lot of ventilation. The Cable folks looked at it today remotely and is seems to be doing better thus far. When it works, this modem is bad ass though.
Could you let me know if the modem is v1 or v2... you could find it on the bottom

Router isnt wifi 6E though :(
cause.... its not a router... thats the second piece of the puzzle and actually having these items sperate is much better then a wifi modem combo.... so i was told/taught
At 6:00 the download is 420 and it shows a bunch of green; That seems like a message of some sort.
