I agree, the install instructions by Arris were terrible and I started watching on TH-cam. Most were also bad but yours was spot on and made the install easy. My speed jumped from 270Mbps on DocSys 3.0 to 465 Mbps on 3.1. Thanks for a clear description of the process.

So, I learned from a different vid, if the 2 middle lights (up stream and down stream) are blinking green its in 3.0 if they are blue its 3.1. Its from the manufactures vid at 1 minute 37 seconds here th-cam.com/video/cNYqY7gvSyc/w-d-xo.html
I have the same router /cable modem and carrier, Xfinity. They tell me I will need 2 IP addresses for the aggregation? is that correct? any other pointers would be appreciated!

Did you upgrade the Ethernet cable to cat 8? To see if the better cable help increase the speed even more? One video on this subject said If you have Cat 5 coming out of the wall . You may not see any improvement no matter what modem you use, or larger cat cables you use.
did you experience any lag with the 6190 when you would game online? because that's what I'm experiencing and im trying to figure out if I should upgrade or not to the 8200
@@GarrettSaxon I figured out the problem, so I had my ps5 set to run off WiFi and not Ethernet, like I had to actually go into settings on my ps5 and chose Ethernet instead of WiFi, now it’s running perfectly
Hi have the sb8200 my down stream is solid blue but upstream is light blue. I have spectrum ultra 1Gb X 40Mb bandwidth. Why is my upstream light not solid blue like downstream?

I upgraded too from the 6190 to the 8200 still using it working like a charm

Not sure if you’re still using that 6190 but it has a chipset issue that wrecks latency, so you should upgrade if you haven’t.
