I have badly overlooked this song in the past but now after watching several reactions to it in the last couple of weeks it's leapt up my playlist. And just in case it hasn't been mentioned before Kanami is a flipping GENIUS.
Since i started listening to the instrumental version of their songs i have to agree 100%! her riffs are very original and creative. Her style is not common at all and VERY interesting to listen to. 👌🤟
Same for me! I guess that can be the case for every BAND MAID song!!

Miku is a soprano and Saiki an alto, Miku has a larger vocal range than Saiki but not the power of Saiki's voice. Because of Miku's range she can harmonise with Saiki and blend perfectly but often the beauty of their voices together come when they sing octaves.
Yes, Miku is classified as a Mezzo Soprano, meaning she can go lower than Saiki and MUCH Higher. I read a post on 2 chan about a week ago where it was said that Kanami, Akane and MISA were also Soprano's but not Mezzo Soprano's. Which contradicts where I had read that MISA was an Alto. So until I can find confirmation on the ranges of the other ladies, I'll take it just as the aforementioned Miku and Saiki's vocal ranges, which have discussed by the ladies themselves in the past.

@@greylocke100 Kanami's singing voice reminds of a lot of the alt-pop female 90's singer-songwriters like Lisa Loeb, Julianna Hatfield, and Tanya Donnelly.
Miku usually takes lead vocals on one song off each album (not always, mostly). And yes they are usually used mid set during Saiki's rest. Have you checked out the acoustic live version just released for a limited time? It's just Miku, MISA and Akane (Akane does backing vocals too). Check it out while you can! Btw, the lyrics are based off Romeo and Juliet.
I love this live performance of "Sayonakidori" The earnestness in her voice as Miku sings takes the song to another level. Kanami, MISA and Akane! What can you say? 🤘😎🤘
Agree about the ending! One of my favorite Outro Solos. In the instrumental version...it is evident the solo starts much earlier and lasts about 35 seconds. Miku songs are Rock in Me, Time, Beauty and the Beast

Reportedly one of the more difficult songs for Band-Maid to play as a band -- lots of chord changes, tricky timing, and a complex melody and difficult notes to hit, etc.. But as usual, you'd never know it. Thx, Frank!
The acoustic from the online okyu-ji will show you just how well Miku can sing. The title means Songbird and Miku shows quite convincingly that a pigeon is a songbird as well. It will also show you that 60% of Band-Maid beats the hell out of most bands at 100%.
Miku adds this nasal element that adds a bit of vinegar to the sweet pickle and stops her being too J-pop candy.

Yes, Miku may not be on the level of the others in terms of power in her voice or playing the guitar - the fact that on one of her songs everyone is still talking about everyone else and hardly about her, I think proves it (no offense, just an observation) - but what I think stands out especially from this performance and this song is that the spotlight as a front person suits her damn well, and she is meant to be there. Even if it's only for one song on the album or her solo project 'cluppo'.
