    Lovebites just got to 100K on TH-cam! The bassist Fami had around 700k before joining. We have to get the word out ahead of them coming to the USA, hopefully in 2024!!!

    Joel you are Lovebites unofficial US PR man…. And you’re doing a fucking good job!

    I understand people questioning this song for being an adequate introduction to Lovebites, but I always thought glory to the world to be an instrumental masterpiece.

    • @rolandkarlsson7072
      @rolandkarlsson7072 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It is an instrumental masterpiece. But it is too much post production I think. Also it has a kind of shady message, with this Jesus stuff. I know it has to do with Covid and that people need hope and all that. Nice thoughts. Still do not understand the religious connection.

    • @stephaneg.7373
      @stephaneg.7373 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I would agree on the religious connection. Post production, maybe, but live versions are also great

    Not surprising that an American musician uses an American band for reference (Metallica). But it would be more accurate to compare Lovebites to classic English metal bands such as Iron Maiden and Judas Priest.

      I agree with you. Having gone to concerts in 80's watching Priest, Maiden, Saxon, Lovebites have reinvigorated that period!! The sad thing is American rock fans cannot see beyond their borders, unfortunately!! I would love to see Lovebites again, I was fortunate to see them at Bloodstock festival!!

      @Miraie93 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Agree. And more amazingly is they are all female & no american female band got on their level so far, not even close. Maybe even better than any multiple male band in the world.

    Thanks for another great reaction with another music artist!!!! What I liked was his facial expressions changed from, what looked like, confusion to "I Like" to smile from ear to ear. It was great seeing his reaction and then explaining what he liked about Lovebites!!!!

    Midori and Miyako !!!!! One of the all time greatest heavy metal guitar duos. IMO. The rest of the band is elite too.

    I love the singer's stage presence. Slow, graceful. Apparently unaware of the screaming heavy metal band around her. I like LB's songs.

    Always appreciate these videos as they are a lot of fun. I love that you're introducing them to others in the industry and hope you continue to do so! It is fun to see as a reaction, because sadly, so few know them, and their reactions are great.

    Seeing the set in this video, it reminds me of another Japanese band called Galneryus who did a video in this very same chapel set for their song "Angel of Salvation". They're well worth a listen too. Their guitarist Shu is something else!

    • @TheCyberMantis
      @TheCyberMantis ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Galneryus is epic. SYU-san is one of Midori's influences. They know each other. I seen a pic of them together at the ESP guitar academy in Ochanomizu.

    I kinda wish they would re-cut this music video and remove the "orlando bloom guy". Song is great, the band is always great, the church is great, everything is great. Except the "orlando bloom guy". I have nothing against him, i'm sure he is a nice dude, but I think the video would be better with just the band in it.
    AND.... that is exactly what they did with the "Judgement Day" music video! ( Which we all love! ) ☺

      Most do live with music blinders. This gringo, except for a few old (like me) bands can safely say Metallica might not be in my top 5, maybe not even top 10, must listen to, favorite bands/singers (like Linda Ronstadt) of the last 55+ years.

    Interesting that he said song back in the 70's and 80's were like 6 and 7 minutes long. In reality that wasn't the case at all. The average length of a song back then was 3 minutes and 23 seconds across all genre's, and pretty much remained there until the mid 90's.

    THE WAGGAKI BAND HAS SOME OUTSTANDING LIVE ACOUSTIC VIDEOS OF A SONG CALLED (DOPPO) THEY ARE VERY MUCH LIKE THE ONE TAKE PERFORMANCES BUT ON STAGE. THE LEAD SINGER PLAYS PIANO WHILE SINGING AND THE GUITARIST SINGS ALSO. THERE IS ANOTHER VERSION WHERE THE FLUTE PLAYER AND KOTO PLAYER JOINS THEM, BUT NO PIANO PLAYING AND NO SINGING FROM GUITARIST.

      I listened to the links provided by Evidence Matters I stopped after the third song and realized that all 3 songs I listened to had this (for Me) a monotonous driving sound that I assume defines metal that seems never ending. Unfortunately that just turns me off. I have a similar vibe when Band-Maid goes into their punk drum beat but that des not turn me off since it does not go on forever. For Lovebite fans that is great for them but unfortunately it is not for me. Please keep supporting the bands you love.

    My only problem with Lovebites is, and its especially true with the 2 guitar players, when you watch the live performances, they are so technically proficient and awesome but there is little to no audience interaction and they just don't appear to be having a blast on stage.
