Be careful about how much tuna you eat. It does contain a small amount of mercury. People think fish is healthy. MMM I am not convinced of that. I would invest in a portable shower. I mean it's inexpensive and it does the job. Maybe make a small rack for water on the outside of your van. Cheap wipes are good too for washing the down Belows. I would get one of those camp solar showers and find a very private place to shower. You should come to Maine in the spring/summer. There is a lot of beautiful places here.
Dude it is wild to me how little water you can make due with. I’ve been living in my van for the last month and riding my bike almost daily. I drink somewhere between 3/4 gal to 1.25gals every day. I have 7 gallons dedicated to just drinking and I have to fill it at least once a week.
Have you thought about mounting a pipe out two on the roof with proper fittings could add a considerable amount of extra water storage and could be pressurized for a shower?
I'm a senior citizen from Colorado, three things I like in my van are caffeine, cannabis and my Spotify account. Sometimes I don't even make it out of my driveway. 😅
I carry wet wipes (baby wipes for face etc & antibacterial wipes for benchtops, dishes etc.) On my dash in a phone holder i have my mobile phone with google maps on & a tablet in another holder on the dash to play everything else. In Australia we get in big trouble if we use our phones while driving 🙄 What drone do you use?
I hope you know you are not supposed to leave toilet paper buried or in the woods. Put it in a ziplock bag and carry it out. I seen a talk about it a few yrs back and I didn’t know. Something about composting time and bears too.
@@bradgilchrist-wy5gn well if you know anything about leave nothing and if you pack it in you pack it out! First thing I learn. It isn’t good for the animals to eat it and it isn’t good for the environment!! If you talk to any through hiker or van dweller you would know to dig you hole at least 6 inches deep, and away from water several hundred yards and you pack out toilet paper after you use it. I know it sounds gross but it’s a common rule people follow: In addition to the basics-toilet paper and hand sanitizer-you'll want to bring along the following as needed: Sealable plastic bag: The preferred practice now is to pack out your used toilet paper (and even if it's not required, it's still the best practice for lowering your impact on the land). Supplies: In addition to the basics-toilet paper and hand sanitizer-you'll want to bring along the following as needed: Sealable plastic bag: The preferred practice now is to pack out your used toilet paper (and even if it's not required, it's still the best practice for lowering your impact on the land). If you want to disguise the contents, you can line the bag with aluminum foil, cover it with duct tape or draw permanent marker designs. Camp trowel: Many are very lightweight and can be helpful for digging a cat hole. Solid waste bags or containers: Some high-elevation, sensitive or heavily traveled areas require people to pack out solid human waste. If so, you must bring human waste disposal options. There are a few different kinds: some are simple plastic bags known as "blue bags," others are sealable, double-layer bags containing gel for absorption. Carry out the bags in your pack; they're supposed to be leakproof, but place them in another plastic bag to be safe. If you're able to carry bigger gear (such as when vehicle camping or river rafting in undeveloped areas), a bucket lined with a large compostable bag and a closeable lid makes an inexpensive portable solid-waste toilet. Find an appropriate spot: Carry your supplies 200 feet (70 steps) from a trail, campsite or water source. Choose underbrush for privacy if you like, and notice your surroundings to make sure you can find your way back to your camp or trail. If possible, find loose, rich soil and a sunny site. Both of these conditions help decompose waste more quickly. Use a trowel, stick, rock or boot heel to make a hole about 4 inches wide and 6 to 8 inches deep. If the ground is too hard or rocky to dig, try lifting a rock and use that spot. Replace the rock when you're done. Or carry your waste out in a bag. Managing toilet paper: Use as little toilet paper as possible. To reduce your use of TP, you can wipe off with natural objects such as large leaves (make sure they're not poisonous), smooth stones and even snowballs. Make sure you have your chosen item handy beforehand. Place TP in a waste bag to pack out. (Places where burying your TP is allowed are becoming scarce-only do it if your cathole is sufficiently deep and you're absolutely certain land managers say that it's acceptable practice.) Pre-moistened wipes can be nice to use on occasion, but don't drop them in the hole; they need to be packed out in your waste bag (as do menstrual supplies). The cover-up: Cover the cathole with the original dirt and completely fill the hole. Tamp it down with your foot. Place a rock or branch over the space to discourage digging critters. You can place an upright stick in it to discourage the next humans in need of a hole. Lastly, use some sanitizer on your hands and rub vigorously, paying attention to fingers.
1. Use paper plates & disposable cups & utensils. 2. Use wet wipes/baby wipes to clean yourself & freshen up. They're cheap, easy to use, disposable, & don't need water.
#1 is super wasteful. Much cheaper in the long run to get reusable dishes & utensils, and less trash in the dump. And to clean them, you can get a spray bottle and put some hydrogen peroxide in it, spray the dishes, let sit for a minute, and wipe off.
I'm surprised your bed was not #1 since you get in it every night and get out of it every morning. What kind of mattress did you have? You probably went over that in an early video but I don't remember. Did you pull of the labels of your cans due to the glue attracting roaches? We used to do that on my sailboat, before it sunk :(

Thank you for the information. God bless you. You will do great in Alaska.
Thank you
Great advice Bronny❤️
Dude it is wild to me how little water you can make due with. I’ve been living in my van for the last month and riding my bike almost daily. I drink somewhere between 3/4 gal to 1.25gals every day. I have 7 gallons dedicated to just drinking and I have to fill it at least once a week.
I fill up every chance I get but overall I can scrap by really well
Have you thought about mounting a pipe out two on the roof with proper fittings could add a considerable amount of extra water storage and could be pressurized for a shower?
Already got one 😊
I'm a senior citizen from Colorado, three things I like in my van are caffeine, cannabis and my Spotify account. Sometimes I don't even make it out of my driveway. 😅
Sounds like a good time
Buy a spray bottle fill it with either vinegar or alcohol and spray you dishes wipe off with paper towels
Very nice
Definitely small, but awesome rig!
Very small but just right
I like your van! Thank you for sharing what works for you. New Subscriber! 🌸💐🌸
Welcome to the channel!!
Good luck in Alaska! Great video
Thank you
Great video dude!
You will end up using less water if you do the vinegar and water in the spray bottle for your dishes, Not sure how well it would work on your hair.
🫡
Awesome video ❤
I carry wet wipes (baby wipes for face etc & antibacterial wipes for benchtops, dishes etc.)
On my dash in a phone holder i have my mobile phone with google maps on & a tablet in another holder on the dash to play everything else. In Australia we get in big trouble if we use our phones while driving 🙄
What drone do you use?
DJI mini 2
Thank you
I thought you would include the reversible passenger seat!
Mmmm that’s something I didn’t consider…. Your 100% correct
Fight the power, comrade! ;-)
Hey man, honestly... :P love it bro keep it up
Hey, thanks!
Use wet ones to wipe your dishes out. Saves water.
Ever any concern over propane leaks? This has been something I’ve been pondering myself
I worried for a while but it was all for no reason. I’ve never had any propane bottle leaks
NICE
We’ll miss you 😢
Where does the expression "on the daily" come from? I've never heard anyone say that before?
I dunno but people in Utah say it 😂
So much in common with otr truck driver.
Awesome
yellow van is not stealth and noticeable i think
Correct
I thought you were going to say an atlas instead apple car play
Very Cool! 😎
Brother I wanna see you take this thing to South America.
Peru 🇵🇪
Tell us about Alaska and the Alaskain national bird, the mosquito
F*** mosquitos
Like to know what you use for internet service while on the road?
Starlink
Hi Do you interested in adding some LED upgrade or a switch panel to your Van? We hope to do some sponsorship with you!
Great video! There are a few things you missed that I see you used daily on your trips! Cutie! 😉🏳️🌈
Oh for sure!
Do you watching Chrome's vlogs from Vancity vanlife?
Hate them honestly 🤷♂️
@@bgrace27 now you know such low subscriber.
I hope you know you are not supposed to leave toilet paper buried or in the woods. Put it in a ziplock bag and carry it out. I seen a talk about it a few yrs back and I didn’t know. Something about composting time and bears too.
I see, I remember
If I take a shit in the woods I'm not bringing a plastic bag to put my toilet paper In. Get real.
I know it sounds gross but it’s a common rule people follow:
In addition to the basics-toilet paper and hand sanitizer-you'll want to bring along the following as needed: Sealable plastic bag: The preferred practice now is to pack out your used toilet paper (and even if it's not required, it's still the best practice for lowering your impact on the land).
Supplies: In addition to the basics-toilet paper and hand sanitizer-you'll want to bring along the following as needed:
Sealable plastic bag: The preferred practice now is to pack out your used toilet paper (and even if it's not required, it's still the best practice for lowering your impact on the land).
Find an appropriate spot:
Carry your supplies 200 feet (70 steps) from a trail, campsite or water source.
Managing toilet paper:
Use as little toilet paper as possible. To reduce your use of TP, you can wipe off with natural objects such as large leaves (make sure they're not poisonous), smooth stones and even snowballs. Make sure you have your chosen item handy beforehand.
Place TP in a waste bag to pack out. (Places where burying your TP is allowed are becoming scarce-only do it if your cathole is sufficiently deep and you're absolutely certain land managers say that it's acceptable practice.)
Pre-moistened wipes can be nice to use on occasion, but don't drop them in the hole; they need to be packed out in your
waste bag (as do menstrual supplies).
The cover-up:
Cover the cathole with the original dirt and completely fill the hole. Tamp it down with your foot. Place a rock or branch over the space to discourage digging critters. You can place an upright stick in it to discourage the next humans in need of a hole.
Lastly, use some sanitizer on your hands and rub vigorously, paying attention to fingers.
@@bradgilchrist-wy5gn yup
1. Use paper plates & disposable cups & utensils.
2. Use wet wipes/baby wipes to clean yourself & freshen up. They're cheap, easy to use, disposable, & don't need water.
Thank you 🙏
They also sell full size body wipes. I highly recommend keeping a pack in the van.
Crocodile outdoor! And Walmart water wipes in the baby section make life a lot more luxurious.
#1 is super wasteful. Much cheaper in the long run to get reusable dishes & utensils, and less trash in the dump. And to clean them, you can get a spray bottle and put some hydrogen peroxide in it, spray the dishes, let sit for a minute, and wipe off.
Hi buddy. Done follow your TH-cam channel present from Malaysia 🇲🇾😁✌Kuala Lumpur support.. Enjoy your day and have fun dude
Wow that’s so far away! I’d love to visit and travel the area one day
@@bgrace27Yes maybe one day 😅
I'm surprised your bed was not #1 since you get in it every night and get out of it every morning. What kind of mattress did you have? You probably went over that in an early video but I don't remember. Did you pull of the labels of your cans due to the glue attracting roaches? We used to do that on my sailboat, before it sunk :(
I had a cheap ahhh Home Depot mattress that sucked balls. No cockroach glue
Hey!
YEEE HAW!!!
Your hair looks great. All your videos are very sincere and enjoyable. Did you wear braces? Perfect teeth, amazing. Keep on rollin.
I wore braces for a year and a half… Thank you!
Flight to Alaska? Why don't you drive? With six months to adventure, whats a week?
The lodge is in a town called Yakutat. It’s a small fishing village north of Juneau and south of anchorage that’s only accessible by boat or plane….i couldn’t drive
