Vikings- Jormungandr
Greeks-Python
Egyptians-Apophis
Hindus-Naga
Also primordial cows who nurture head gods (Zeus, Ymir) in their infancy.
It's really cool to see these narratives of the human cultural experience across continents and find were basically all the same lol

That's because they all descend from the proto indo-european religion. In fact they all have the lighting god as well who fought against the world serpent, Thor against Jormugandr, Zeus against Typhon, indra vs Vritra, and Perun vs Veles. All of these gods i've listed are lighting gods, who fought against serpents, and they all descend from the same proto indo-european religion.

@@tiredtobias ... but it is. It's a God Reveal, of which the very first part is the new god's lore (this time done in the form of the god introducing himself).
In any case, the Lore Lady usually does the whole thing, lore, abilities, tactics etc. Even those few times they split the God Reveal into 2 seperate videos, lore and abilities, the Lore Lady did both videos.

I kinda hope they make more giant Gods like this as it would create a sort of extra class difference of human-sized and giant-sized. The giant sized would have more hp and deal more damage, but would be slower and be pretty much unable to dodge anything

Funny thing about that. In one of the Norse myths Thor has to lift a cat, Said cat later turns out to have been Jormungandr thanks to some Jotun magic. So in a Way that skin kind of makes sense
It isn't "transformed" into a kitty in Smite... it was just released that troll funny skin like the plushie and mighty storm one, infact my main pg is Jorm and i don't like them and never use them. In the game every god has "trolling" skins with no sense, just see the dog Kuku, the shark Sobek and the beach volleyball Nu Wa and much others... they are stupid, i don't like them, they're done for little childs who play the game to make things ""soft"" or simply for joking. Btw true skin of Jorm are basic, mastery, Ragnarok and Splyce, other ones are crap and made for fun.

@@the24thcolossusjustchillin39 Yes he was transformed into a kitty in the myths, but only for a bit time just for fouling Thor in a strenght competition... using a small kitty form while the real creature inside this fake form was a serpent longer than the world circle and with a titanic weight... xD i still see kitty-m.storm-plushie skins as stupids and useless, Jorm is a sea serpent and not a wyrm-lizard-lindworm with legs (like in the Mighty Storm skin, which is infact a Chinese Dragon skin) and nor a cat or other thing. But like i said every god has 2 or 3 "joke" skins, so they're mad for fun... btw for sure i will keep to use Diamond - Splyce - Ragnarok skin when i use him and never that childish bullshit, he is my main and i always run him solo xD

Where is lore lady
Really disappointed they didn't utilize his gigantic body in his kit at all. I can imagine his tail trailing behind him with his head being the actual hitbox. His body would act as terrain, preventing movement and blocking some skills, but can be moved by attacks.
An ability of his could interact with it too, "constrict", where he coils his body together towards him, and enemies crushed by his body take damage, are briefly stunned and then are slowed for several seconds.
Thanks to God of War IV, I see the midgard serpent as a chill good guy😁

thought i was the only one lol. it's like they lacked animation time so they made it faster
To be honest there's no real way to not make it look awkward, he can jump thrice in quick succession and he's supposed to be impossibly long so showing a full proper animation is basically out of the question due to the timing issues. The only suggestion I'd have is change the ending animation where his body just clips into the ground after he completes his final jump to instead have the same dark energy he normally has so it looks like his body is sinking back into it.
The collapse is Intentional i know i thought it looked odd to but it realistic and it also damages enemies if it fall on top of them
It would take way to long to make the entire body go normally through the 2nd hole
He is called the World Serpent because his body is long enough to encircle the entire globe and still have enough left for him to eat his own tail. But while they can’t feasibly put his entire body in the game, they could at least continue an animation of his mid-body just looping through each jump until the ultimate finishes and it then collapses.
