Loving the channel and it has given me some great ideas. Can I ask for this enclosure what thickness of glass did you use for the front of that enclosure?
Thank you! These are 6mm which are very heavy for sliding doors at this size. I normally use 4mm
@@norwichreptileshed thanks wasn't sure if you went with a thicker glass due to how tall it was.
Looking forward to seeing the next part of the leopard gecko enclosure btw.
Hi what do you use to seal any DIY backgrounds you make for the reptile vivariums? Eg what do you paint over the grout or whatever you used to make the background look cool if you made one with different levels etc? 😊
Hi, I've covered it tons on the channel so you can see how different products look but I now use a water based varnish by a brand called Rustins.
Jamie i need some advice/help im looking to do a build but im unsure what the paint you uesd to get your rock effect.
I seen a guy in America on his build he used ( latex based drylok masonry waterproofer. But obviously in the uk iv typed it in b&q and its come up with flexypol waterproofer. So i bough it and tested it on some polystyrene and it melted it a bit. So im now back to looking to see what i need.
Hi, so we don't have a proven animal safe alternative to drylok. I use the older method of using tile grout/adhesive. I have a plenty of videos on the channel about it so have a little look and if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask.
@@norwichreptileshed iv seen some potential candidates. Blackfriar polyurethane floor paint or insulation paint ultra. Was thinking about giving them a try. Just wondering if you or anyone have tried these before.
I personally haven't and will always stick to tile grout/adhesive but good luck with your testing
Sorry to spam you again jamie. I have good news. I have found the (latex base drylok masonry waterproofer) Theres a guy thats sells it here in hull.
Can't get a response from them.
