Smite is the only moba I can get into, the top down birds eye view never did it for me. Third person feels way better, and the gods, goddesses, and monsters from mythology just sealed the deal XD
I like lol but I think more characters feel cheap there than Smite, especially when over half the abilities are point and click auto aim, and the Riot balance team makes baffling decisions.
There was another 3rd person moba out there called Paragon. Im not gonna talk about it because the fact that i said "was" still brings a tear to my eye. But yeah it wasnt the only game like this.
Season 6! Dont worry gang... im seasoned but i care about the noobies. New players means a healthier experience. Disregard the try hard toxic players. My biggest piece of advice
thanks I play on xbox and just started I'm a little confused on the whole store should I turn off auto purchase and purchase things I choose instead? can I purchase better things rather than if I had auto purchase on?
Rayn! Been a long term viewer since way back man! You were one of the first people to get me into smite. Miss those old RaynZ days! Glad to see you still doing well AND making smite content! Keep doing you man! Never give up never stop gaming!
I was just as lost watching you play a video that was about how to teach someone to play smite as i was trying to watch it. You explained very little, went very fast, chose abilities and items without explaining what and why. Maybe record game play and voice over it to explain what your doing and give you the ability to pause the recorded play and explain what going on. Thanks for trying.
I agree. Don't wanna diss the guy, he seems cool enough but I assumed a video made to show how to play your first game would assume you don't know much about it. But most of what he said may as well have been in another language for the amount of sense it made to someone new to smite
Gonkie if you want to get really good at this game you got to stick with the minions until you got items that do damage. People try hard to fight in the beginnings of the game and sometimes die because they don’t do very much damage until they get their first damage item that makes you where you can start getting kills.
Gonkie in small game modes I get my damage items right away but in conquest I always get boots first followed up by wards because they can’t get you from behind if you see them coming a mile away
Ok there’s 5 different roles in smite it’s usually best to have 1 of each role for your team. Your goal is to outlvl your opponent not out kill your opponent that will come if you stick to the minions long enough get your gold which allows you to buy items which in turn makes you stronger. In bigger maps use wards so you can see who’s trying to flank you. With mages they are usually slow so getting boots first for mages is a must. Always buy the purification cape and on occasions for gods like Loki get the stun cape. You don’t really need crit for hunters but I guess it might be a good advantage for you if you already have all the items you need. For Hunters and assassins you should focus on penetration and attack speed mainly and on occasion lifesteal because some hunters have abilities or passives that give them lifesteal. I like to get 1 of each at least but remember the more attack speed or penetration you have the less of the other items that aren’t penetration or attack speed you won’t have. So that’s why I get 1 of each no more so I can get other items for different areas. If you’re using a guardian I suggest you get boots first especially on bigger maps but in small maps I usually get physical armor or mage armor first depending on how many mages or physical gods are in the game. It’s 5 to a team so there’s always going to be rather 3 mages 2 physical or 2 mages and 3 physical gods so that’s how I know what armor I need to get first. For mages they use a lot of abilities so soon as you can, after you get boots try to get an item that gives you mana so you can stay in lane longer. I play warriors the same as guardians in terms of how I build but remember guardians are mages, and mages and physical gods buy different items, so if you’re wondering why people are going right through your armor it’s probably because the armor you bought doesn’t support mages only physical gods. When i play in the solo lane sometimes I have to change my build because some people try to buy damage right away and it’s pretty hard to kill them when they are out damaging you. Some gods naturally clear waves faster those gods are classified as pushers like Ah Puch so don’t get on yourself if somebody your lvl is out clearing you in waves. From there it’s all about learning how the god works and eventually you’ll start mastering the gods and the game will start becoming funner for people when they know what they need to do in order to succeed. If I missed anything important here please let me know because I feel like I covered it all here good luck to you guys
Wow, I was going to start playing smite today and this was the first suggested. I've been watching your apex stuff for about a year now so this is cool
I started Smite this week for switch. and I got to say I feel like I'm pretty good as a Guardian player, I get more assists than I do kills, so for Khepri is my main, but watching this taught me a bit more, great video man!
You should check out his "How to be a better SMITE player" series on this channel, really helped me early on. Raynday is wholesome, can't go wrong with his content. Welcome to smite, and have fun!
I found your "5 ways to be a better smite player" video and I really liked it. Not only for the tips, but for your attitude as well. Seem like a solid dude, someone fun to play with. Got one more subscriber!
awwww i haven't heard your voice since i stopped playing paladins cause of the toxicity and players on ranked, when i started the video and heard your voice i smiled nostalgically, guess we will meet in smite videos now xd
Haha! And the 17:45-17:51 when you read the buff characteristics in 5 or 6 sec. is low-key hilarious. You could do voice acting for those pharmaceutical ads where they read the 214 side-effects in 4 seconds (if the professional gamer thing dries up.) But yeah, great video. Subscribed.
I literally just thought of playing smite once again.Last time I played it was about 2 years ago and I finally wanted to comeback. You saved my ass dude.
For anyone still confused, I feel as though this guide assumes you have played videogames before. Not smite per say, but videogames in general. Namely rpgs And action rpgs. If you're new to both of those, go look up more in depth guides. This one is more of a "assuming you have actually taken interest in the game and have played the tutorial" kind of thing.
Your league video made me consider trying out smite, but I was a little hesitant because I didn't wanna be flamed for being bad, but it doesn't look so scary here, so I think I will download Smite and give it a try :D
Yeah that’s one thing I realized it’s all about god kills playing passive is the best option in alot of cases. But then killing god’s gives you an advantage in other cases.
I haven't play Smite for 2? years but it's great to see Raynday back on his origin not only Apex as every1 now. I have good memories about Smite = game with sense of humour (I loved win/lose postbattle dedicates animations for each god), interesting mythology background, no need to spend cash on it and mostly nice community. Definetly best looking moba with more confy look behind the back. Skins are probably coolest I ever saw in online games often changing shape of a hero drastically f.e sci-fi Geb; not only colors as most onlines do. Clash was always my fav from reason Ray said. Who knows maybe I will come back. I was quite good on Smite sometimes, not crap as in shooters I done last time :P
Its been about 5 years since I've played SMITE in any sort of meaningful capacity I kinda want to get back into it and get into ranked Thanks for the video it should be a little bit easier easing into the new meta now
Couldn’t decide whether to get smite or not. I see it’s gotten popular and leaked into my feed this past month. But this video has definitely made me want to play.
Man, this is a great video. You just pulled someone to download Smite. I was searching how to use the ability "smite" in lol, which I just started, and saw this. The over-the-shoulder view looks way more to my liking. I'm a refugee from the recent death of Neverwinter, Mod 16. Or as I call it: Nerf 16. So I'm trying game after game to see what's fun. I hope this works out, cause your vid style is great! I'm reading up on Nieth as Smite downloads. This is 'Content Creators benefitting the Game' in action. If I get some spare pesos, it'll go for skins and a join.
Friendly tip before you mess your mouse up, you don’t have to keep clicking when u auto attack. You can just hold it down, all i could hear was click click click in the fights lol.
Holding it down causes you to take a 25% move speed penalty. If you let go you can negate that slightly, like min maxing an auto attack cancel chain. As a hunter, holding down lmb at all times is a habit that can get you into trouble.
cool, im new on switch. getting ganked easily. need to learn more and even the basic stuff as to what buttons and what items. so hard when just casual player
bruh, went from sweating ranked minecraft skywars to casually playing paladins to trying out smite in 2 months. and ive been sweating minecraft for 2+ years so...
Ok I’m sorry for being picky but idk if executioner is the best for their line up. The only one that will most likely have protections is Hercules so I would recommend maybe a titans bane or brawlers
I've been wanting to play Smite for a while now. The game is downloaded but it keeps crashing during the tutorial. Now I've resulted to watching this vid.
Will you ever bring back the series you did in the past... "So you want to play mage, hunter, guardian, assassin, warrior." With the 5 steps/rules. I always show new players those videos and the new learn tab on smites HUD for new players to learn some basics.

Though i really wish there'd be a third person view like in smite, from the looks and gameplay i totally love smite. I spent 50 hours trying it out and it's definitely fun.
Smite is probably one of the hardest games ive played it seems simple until you go up against someone who really knows what they doing and you just ask yourself how am i dying and why, everyone just seems so much stronger than me, the skill ceiling seems so high.
It does matter how much you play or how good you think you are there is always gonna be someone out there to push your shit in and make you question your skill level. Unless you're a pro I guess you're pretty good then.

Is the Raynstorm Clan still active today? I've been looking for a clan to join to finally get to play with some people who might actualy be nice and helpful... which I can't do with the amount of toxic players in the random ques...
My regional manager plays this game with his friends. I’ve thought about getting into it but I think I would just drag my team down while trying to learn the gameplay and just get reported by the try hards 😂
This is weird, but Clash always seems more try-hard and toxic than conquest. Why do people take Clash so seriously? Yep i agree, i downloaded lol about 3 days ago I can't seem to enjoy it like i used to years ago, don't know why.
I have not seen an epic face in years
Ni Chita I’m with you man. Life after paragon is pretty bleak. Smite has filled the void but god I miss those characters and graphics.
Neith was one of my favorites in Smite. She's so much fun to play and very agile. Love her!
And what a beauty!
I love Neith!!!
This video is only for returning players, I didnt understand much after watching the video twice.
I beg to differ, I just started about a week or two ago and I found this video very useful actually.

This is weird, but Clash always seems more try-hard and toxic than conquest. Why do people take Clash so seriously? Conquest is pretty damn laid back as long as you’re doing your job at a baseline, but in Clash, team mates are always next to you and are able to observe your every move and will flame you when they see you make even a small mistake.
