Yeah i agreed with a lot. The dpi thing sounded interesting. I need to rewatch that and experiment. I didn’t consider mechanical stuff a factor of gamesense, i figured gamesense is just “read the game, see what how it’s going” but the more i look at it the more i realize that part about mechanics is right. And as for stucking to something, i’m addicted to tanks, particularly cthulhu, but i’m also finding Ravana’s playstyles very addictive as well, despite him being an assassin. But with Ravana, i notice it’s much easier to juke than with Cthulhu, who relies on micro positions to get the most CC out of his abilities, by sidestepping right to rushing terror left at chasing targets, normally running straight, running through my mires, and buying time with my Sanity Break. By that time you hope to fear them, but it’s a long shot at best because cdr isn’t good enough for that and the move penalty for 3 basics isnmt good enough for dodging. When you ult you sacrifice all dodging for the ability to hit knockups at sniping range, and sacrifice your own hp to heal allies, it’s very complicated and tough to learn. But as ravana, i’m finding sidestep after sidestep between abilities, dodging between players like the DDR demon i never knew i could be. The auto attack cancels with my 3 root and my 1 cone, and the added safety of my invulnerability, then the ability to dive in or out with my ult all while getting shields, whether i’m relying on my power for kill potential or using funny tank items in arena… it’s beautiful fun. God i love playing Smite.
my friend and i have been playing normal conquest for the first time. Ive only played on coop my entire 400+ hours and ive just had a lot of anxiety with playing against other people ever since i played league in college.
Great video. I’ve started playing smite maybe 2 months ago and am seeing quite a lot improvement. My only question is am I capping myself by playing on Xbox controller or can I still get to a good level? I find myself struggling particularly with hunters as aiming is hard on controller. But I just don’t feel comfortable using MnK
Smite is definitely easier on mouse and keyboard, but you can still do a lot on controller. For example, I made SCC (Smite minor league) on controller and GrandMaster multiple times. But when I switched to MnK, mechanically speaking I got a lot better.
But isn't playing the same gods counterproductive? Ive seen people who only play x gods and they dont know how to play againt y gods because of it, even after playing for a long time. I feel like people should try different gods at least in safe modes like Arena.
i bought smite 2 for $30. it would be my first time playing the series and let me tell you what a waste of money just stick to smite 1 or LoL they’re free
I used to main kuku for how simple his kit is, so I can focus on everything else that is happening.
nice video dash
Thanks Hydro!

This was really informative
Love it Dash!
My two cents also, don't be embarrassed to practice in other game modes.
Thanks!
