- This was a fun list to put together, considering there have only been about 15 draws in the history of the YuGiOh anime! I go over what I thought were the 10 best duels that ended in a tie! All of the YuGiOh anime shows were considered. I hope you all enjoy!!

The best draws in the series is when someone draws two cards from Pot of Greed or when the protagonist draws the card they need.
xD I had to change the title to TIES***/Draws because I realized the word Draws could lead to some confusion xD
Even better when it's Judai with Bubbleman, THEN Pot of Greed, e.g. his third duel with Edo.

I really like how Bohman could have won against Playmaker, but he just wanted to observe more of Playmaker's tactics. And when the situation got out of his control, he forced the tie and escaped.
Yeah that was easily the closest Playmaker came to losing! Still wish they pulled the trigger on it though
Well if Playmaker summoned his Clock dragon instead of quantum dragon he could won the duel. But no, writers had different plans. Quantum dragon never won a duel for playmaker.

Okay, here we go again! It was true that Bohman didn't activate his monster's effect earlier, but even if he had done so, the chance that he could have defeated Playmaker at that moment would have been only 1 out of 6, which would have been about 16.7%. In other words, even if Bohman had gone all out, his victory would have not been absolute.

The official result of Revolver vs Lightning is a draw and it's the best one for me.

Personally, I have O'Brien vs Supreme King in my top 5, but to each their own I guess
I agree what i like about this duel is how O'Brien sacrifice himself for his friend judai
His character Arc and development is one of the best in the series
O'brien duels are all so good, even the weakest of them -his first duel against judai- is probably one of the best "side character vs judai" duel of GX

Kaito vs Astral (then Zexal) was such an important duel for all 3 characters. We finally see a vulnerable side to Kaito after witnessing sheer dominance from him for the past 3-5 episodes. Astral learns how to trust others, overcome adversity, and Yuma learns to believe in himself and stick to his kattobingu no matter what.
The Jaden/Zane draw was done perfectly
From Zane passing the torch of Duel Academy’s best duellist to Jaden to the GX theme song playing over the final attack was incredible 😃😃😃
One thing I found confusing with the Supreme King/Axel duel. When it looked like Axel had lost , the Supreme King shouted “oh no” . Did Jaden briefly break free from control and realised he’d sacrificed another of his friends?
Also, please can we have a Top 10 Comedy Character list and please have Lazar in the top 5? 😃😃😃

The Wiser 1 Couldn’t agree more. Crowler is really funny, especially his reaction to the cat .
Lazar , however is amazing with comedy . We saw flashes of his comical genius during his first duel against Crow, but it took Goodwin’s “death” for it to really come to the forefront.😃😃😃

Judai vs Ryo is one of the best duels in general for me. I love how they didn't go with classic 'protagonist defeats rival' and ended in in a draw.
I love how you mentioned that there are about 15 ties in the whole franchise, and I can think of 3 off the top of my head for Yusaku alone 😂
A similar idea to this one, I'd love to see the top 10 DNF duels in the series - whether it focuses on the duels themselves or the interesting natures of the DNFs - such as Kaito vs Yuma R1 when Haruto's illness literally saved Yuma's life.
Just so you know Lighting if your out there in cyperspace somewhere that duel with you and Revolver was a draw you did not win 🤣

The Joey vs Yugi brings back so many good memories of sitting in front of my uncle's laptop and browsing for ygo content. That was one of the few duel clips I watched back then. It was one phenomenal duel.
Kaiser might've hinted at his eventual heel turn at the end of the duel. He said that he was at his limit of improvement so he needed a way to break his limits.

I would say my favorite duels that ended in a draw are Ryo/Zane vs Judai/Jaden, Kaito/Kite vs Astral and Playmaker vs Revolver R3. Awesome Video, Dylan. Keep up the good work.
Whenever I'm reminded of Jaden vs. Zane II I feel all fuzzy and nostalgic 😁 still waiting on that season 4 dub. And I'll keep waitin'. Forever lol

My favorite aspect of the Kite v. Astral duel and how it ended has to be how it showcased Zexal’s power and limitations in a single move.
A lot of people see Zexal and Shining Draw as a whole as an instant win condition, but as duel and many others afterwards showcased, the power has a massive, glaring limitation: it can’t account for the unknown. Cards produced through Zexal will have the bare minimum effects for overcoming an obstacle, and nothing more. ZW-Unicorn Spear was enough to beat Galaxy-Eyes, but it couldn’t account for the facedown Photon Shock. Same thing with the duels with Vetrix and Don Thousand, as they were able to counter Zexal multiple times with cards Yuma and Astral simply were unable to account for.
Something I find interesting about the Waking the Dragons arc, in all 3 duels in which Yugi, Joey and Kaiba first use their dragon cards, we get all possible duel results except draw - Yugi loses, Kaiba draws and Joey gets a DNF.
It’s funny how many draws we even had throughout the franchise even if there’s 15 of them. Some characters gets to have the spotlight too. 😅

My favorite is Zane vs Jaden because Jaden is my favorite protagonist and Zane, you can't go wrong with him.

This list is interesting I never heard of this list like this.
Unrelated to the video, I've been watching a lot of the Zexal dub and it is comedy gold. Watch Rio's introduction episode (79). It's absolutely hilarious. Also, Dylan, if you can, do a list of Duels with no results if you can.
The ZeXal dub is hilarious. Honestly compared to there sub counterparts, the dubs usually are pretty funny

Oh, I love zexal and remember liking the dub a while back! Honestly a no result list would be so interesting!! My favorite no result duel from zexal is the Mizar vs. Yuma/Kite duel

Gongenzaka's duel should rank much higher for me. Maybe it's because I'm a Gongenzaka fanboy, but I really enjoyed this duel, as it showed how different and crazy Gongenzaka is. He doesn't go for Action cards, he doesn't have any spell/trap cards in his deck, and MANLY MEN DON'T MOVE UNNNCECESSARILY. While everyone, including Sora is surprised, Yuya explains that Gongenzaka had it all in control from the get go.
Honestly, the only ones I could even remember before watching this were Jaden vs Zane (the best one, by far), Axel vs The Supreme King, and Astral vs Kite.
How is Supreme King vs Axel not on, Axel literally had to overcome his fear after witnessing Jim die to face him again
because that one was just mediocre. The storylines about Marik or Orichalchos felt way more threatening.
I knew Judai versus Ryo was going to be number 1. I absolutely loved this duel!
Maybe it's because X-Sabers are one if my favorite decks but I really enjoyed gong vs kit (#10)
What also impressed me about that duel was you got to see 2 copies of the same boss monster which is rare to see in the anime.
Yeah Luna vs frank it would of been cool to see more duels in the spirit world in 5ds with luna, that's one thing about 5ds I wish they explored more Luna and the spirit world.

I could not agree more with Judai vs Kaiser as number 1! It was the perfect duel to end off year 1 of Judai's time in duel academy plus Ryo's last year! We finally got to see just how much more insane of a duelist Kaiser was as he didn't get much time to shine until here. The clash between heroes and cyber dragons going as high in life points is symbolic to me as it shows their importance that was to come for the rest of the yugioh go series!
Shark underestimated Kite and that lead to his defeat

I honestly like the Gong versus Kit duel for a few main reasons
1. The duel felt much more skilled based than other duels in Yu-Gi-Oh, Gong having to think multiple steps ahead to save himself.
2. Kit's near overwhelming power sets him up as a good "rival character" for Gong, in a similar fashion that Julia Krystal did for Zuzu.
4. The action was extremely character based with kit and Gong's philosophies being reflected in how they dueled.
5. It was a catalyst for character growth and that character growth is representative of my favorite parts about early Arc-V
While most of these duels are cool, the Zane vs Jaden is the best! It's really a shame that these 2 never had an actual rematch... I know, they "dueled" in season 3 for 2 minutes, but I can hardly call that a duel.

Well Kaiser was stronger than Judai in season 1,2,3....in season 4 it is debatabke..I wish that they dueled before Judai left the academy and that duel again ended up draw.
Too bad that they ruined all characters because of Judai’s spotlight in season 4.

What made like number 5 and 4 was that they had plot armor help Kaiba and Astral. Zexal and Fang of Critias was revealed at the near end and usually that plot armor wins the match like Yuma vs Vector.
I guess you could make a top 10 "Unfinished Duels," it's fun to speculate on how they could've ended
Number 1 shows us how GX has the best character development out of the yugioh series in my opinion which is why it’s my favorite
I mostly agree with your list but I would have had Supreme King VS Axel way higher on the list, like top 3! I also think Astral VS Dark Mist in episode 102 would have made my list as it was unexpected as the plot was really heating up.

Jaden vs Zane at the end of season 1 of GX was amazing.
Yusaku had 3 draws in like 70-80 ish episodes, meanwhile yugi and jaden combined had the same number in like 350 episodes
I think a top 10 caracters that have great duels could be good
(A top where caracters with in general great duels exemple: Kallin/Kiryu have 5 animated duels 3 of them are 3 of the best 5d's duels)

When I first saw the title I thought you were talking about the best Draws in terms of best draw from the deck. That list would have been at least twice as long and 10 times more difficult to make.
No arguments against #1 here. This duel was very well paced, had great symbolism with how Jaden could go toe to toe with Zane, but also showed that even if an unstoppable force like Jaden duels Zane, Zane is still incredibly hard to beat

Best draw for me definitely Jaden Vs Zane. It was a great build-up and even though I'm salty it's a great duel

A lot of these I forgot ended in a tie!
Bohman vs Playmaker (Third Duel) was the best for me.
Judai/Jaden vs. Ryo/Zane is on my top 10 duels of all time list. So yeah. Having it at Number 1 is pretty obvious.
Though, mainly because I _love_ GX as a whole (even the dub), a lot of those duels are in my top 10 all time favorites… Unfortunately, I didn't watch the final half of Zexal, and I lost track of Arc-V mid-Sychro Era, so I don't have much of a call on that. But I will say that the only Vrains duel on that list is Soulburner vs. Revolver.
How about Top 10 non-Yutagonist/Rival duels? Like Joey/Jonouchi vs. Bandit Keith, or Crowler vs. Bonnaparte? Or do I have to be a patron to suggest a top 10 list?
what is there to love about GX? It mostly felt like a parody of the original, The duels were rarely serious and often very short.
I dont like sucking up to the og ygo too much loll but I think the jou vs yuugi duel wouldv been number one. its just so emotional all the way thru, n I have such a soft spot for their friendship. its prob one of my fav duels in dm
