I go over 10 dream duels I would have loved to see in GX! You can only choose characters that appeared and ideally dueled at least once in the show. The characters could not have dueled previously, ideally no rematches or anything like that. I excluded Kaiba and Yugi personally because I felt those characters would have dominated this list had I included them... Hope you all enjoy!

Supreme King vs Hell Kaiser was the one I waited. It really seemed like it would've happened.
Cyber Dragon Infinity did appear in the card game main set at the time so maybe there were some plans for him to appear and were cut another thing is that there was no Ritual Dimension but Odd eyes did have a ritual counterpart but it never appeared in the anime.
Supreme King Jaden is who in sure he's talking about. Not Arc V Supreme King.
You are right. Hell Kaiser would have been like : "Hum, my power bond vs Super Polymerisation. That could be a real challenge...and my ultimate Duel. Jaden, here is somehow our rematch ".
They should have. GX dropped the ball with both characters especially Kaiser.

Also, little known fact, Blair did get promoted to Obelisk by the start of season 4 but chooses to wear her Silfer Red outfit.

To be fair she was supposed to be in Obelisk blue as that's the only female dorm but she chose to be in Silfer red to be close to Judai.

I legit want more GX, but the voice actors had to be convinced to even do the movie and duel links. Not sure they would do more.
One duel I would have loved to see is Joey vs jaden in domino city. It’s stated that Joey was the third best duelist in the world in season 3 and he’s also the only character from the original series Jaden hasn’t duel. He duel yugi and kaibaman basically kaiba but not Joey. I think their time in domino city would have been the perfect chance for that.
Definitely but after Waking The Dragons. Joey sadly they don't show him duel.
He dueled Fubiki twice which uses Red-Eyes so I guess they thought it was enough

Jaden vs Syrus-Syrus had an inferiority complex and a duel against his best friend would’ve be a great way to help . Granted, he probably wouldn’t have won, but it could’ve helped with his confidence
Marcel(Yubel) vs Bonaparte - Marcel (possessed by Yubel) sending his dad to The Stars would’ve been good character development
Jasmine and Mindy vs Alexis (Society Of Light) - If J and M WERE Alexis’ friends , they’d have tried to save her from the Society Of Light
(After Alexis had beaten that French guy, they could’ve called out to Alexis and challenged her to a duel to free her from her brainwashing . They could put up a decent fight, but Alexis would win, adding them to SOL)
Jaden vs Syrus happened early in GX tho

Only thing about that Bonaparte duel: Wrong alternate dimension; the penalty was losing energy merely for dueling (and that wasn't even a local phenomenon; it was induced by the Bio-Bands), not disintegrating into light.

Nobody seemed to do anything about the Society. alexis tries with chazz, and bastion throws a match rather than help. It's like the whole school goes "lol, mind control whatever".
Here is a fun one. Adrien vs Viper.
These two fight in the anime, as in, an actual fight, mano-a-mano, just before Viper duel against Jaden. And while that was unexpected from a card game anime, I would love to see these two having a duel. Jaden vs Viper is one of my favorite duels from GX, if not my favorite, and it would be even better if Viper had a win before that. Defeating the guy who defeated Chazz would be a reasonable way to fix that. Plus, it gives Adrian one more duel to show his Cloudian cards before he get the Exodia.
I remember being surprised that someone was going to try and solve a problem without card games and just by punching in Yugioh lol

@@somerandomweeb4836 During Kaiser vs Johan duel(the one that didn't finish) Edo stated that Kaiser is much more powerful than he ever was and his face and reaction shows that he is intimidated by Kaiser. It's a subtle hint the writers give without making another duel happen between them. And Edo loses to Amon which loses to Johan/Yubel which beats Kaiser. Amon easily beats Edo but Yubel/Johan struggled against Kaiser.
I whould have liked to se the following deuls:
Aster Phoenix vs Alexis, they would have dueld in season 2 but since Jayden returned he dueld.
Professor crowler vs professor Banner (pre sacred beast arc), just a intresting thought.

Kaiba appears in GX though he never dueled. Would have been an intense duel if Kaiba vs Kaiser were to happen and I bet it's gonna be a good one too.

GX era Yugi, Kaiba, and Jonouchi would be too much for the GX cast if a Battle City Era Yugi (not even the Yugi that surpassed Atem at the end of DM or the GX Yugi) was considered by Judai to be the strongest duelist he ever faced which includes Darkness, Yubel etc
HELL KAISER VS THE SUPREME KING IS A DUEL WE NEEDED TO SEE. Especially since he gave the speech after the Supreme King lost. It woulda been so badass if Hell Kaiser defeated the Supreme King and gave his speech of "Your king has been beaten." and throws his helmet off the tower into the crowd.

Haou Vs Judai could’ve actually been happened because Haou could’ve appear again in front of Judai and it would’ve been awesome to see two Hero decks, Evil Hero and Elemental Hero against each other.

@@Deathmare235 GX era Joey is probably 'stronger' than Nightshroud. Jaden and Yubel said that Battle City Era Yugi (not even Atem but little Yugi) was the strongest person they ever had to go against, including Nightshroud. And in the anime continuity, it's implied that Joey beat Yami Yugi since he got Red-Eyes back in the next arc. And then Joey and Kaiba continued to get 'stronger' than their Battle City Era selves in the Orichalcos arc. And then the end of GX is like 14 years after that, though it seems even by the beginning of GX, the 3 of them don't duel professionally or in tournaments anymore

Jaden was in his lone wolf phase and didn’t seem to enjoy duelling as much as he used to
Jaden regaining himself during that tag tournament was cool, but imagine if he did so against one of his biggest rivals . Maybe Jaden could get his first win against Zane😃😃😃

Alexis vs Nightshroud. WE should've had this in the SHADOW RIDERS arc but they had to give most of the duels in that arc to Jaden, stupid; just stupid. Instead it's wasted on a filler duel in the Society arc where Alexis needed more wins and major duels before and AFTER she was assilimated

There is at least one good thing about the Seven Stars arc with Asuka: it marks the only time, the _ONLY. TIME._ that a girl who's been humiliated or controlled or tortured by someone to get comeuppance of her own accord against the one who attacked her. Didn't happen with Mai, didn't happen with Anzu, didn't happen with Asuka herself later on, didn't happen with Yuzu and her counterparts, didn't happen with Aoi, didn't happen with Aki; never. An argument could be made for Carly and Misty getting back against Divine, given as how they both had a chance to kill him and took it, but as it was when they were Dark Signers, it's an asterisked moment. Asuka getting back at Titan after he'd kidnapped her is the ONLY time I can remember that a female character had the chance to stand up for herself against an asshole that attacked them without having to wait for someone else to do it.
Asuka should have defeated Judai in their first duel. I mean, this is BS. How can the Queen of the Obelisks lose to an Osiris Red Student who is in his first day at Duel Academy? Asuka VS Darkness would be awesome to see, way more tha having Judai duel him.
@@christopherb501 the best part of the Seven Stars arc is that every main character gets to duel.(except Sho, poor Sho) and this is a really good way of Developing multiple characters. The only bad parts were Misawa getting overshadowed, Judai dueling Darkness instead of Asuka (i guess they didn't want the final villain to lose to someone who isn't Judai), and the worst villain in anime history with 0% win ratio and a really bad motivation to be a villain: Kagemaru. Everything else was Top Tier, and dare i say, better than the Darkness Arc.

Real talk, instead of Jaden duelling/defeating Adrien it should've been Syrus duelling/defeating Adrien.
Syrus being one of few characters with a particular form of familial closeness on screen, and likely somewhat regretting not having ben able to save his brother, facing against Adrien, who just threw out someone who was loyal/devoted to him and saw him as family would've easily been th biggest establishment of Syrus' own spirit. And not only would Syrus *win,* but he would obliterate Adrien in a one shot after struggling in the duel for a long time.
Syrus consistently clinging to life, getting chipped away by Adrien, but managing to destroy the back-row and then Power Bond into something that would one-shot Adrien would be in an odd form of symbolic. Not only would Syrus have stopped that threat, but it would've establish Syrus as someone who has people he cares about.
I don't mind Amon as a character. He was a good enough villain, beat Manjome right after his high of winning the GX tournament, and I'll always respect a character who chooses to use Exodia, and actually summon him. Plus, the duel between him and Edo broke my heart a little bit, when I watched it the first time.
i liked him but i was glad to see yubel put him in his place
I actually really like Adrien Gecko, I thought he made a really good wild card character and I thought his duel with Yubel was really good. For me its any duel with Aster, love that guy
Plus he’s an actual hero he’s what Seto Kaiba should be if we’ll ever get the perfect world but he had a dragon fetish and card games to manage

Seto Kaiba vs. MR. T is the duel I wish we saw. Especially because they implied it happened.
He dueled everyone but there’s really no reason to show it other than fan service I’m pretty sure Kaiba along with Jaden are the only ones that won and also Jesse
Duels I wanted to see in the manga:
*Koyo vs. Midori:* Technically it happened off-panel, but would've loved to see a sibling battle.
*Zane vs. Any Planet user:* A shame Cyber Dragons were featured in only 1 manga duel.
*Reggie vs. Principal MacKenzie:* Felt like a missed opportunity as the manga was rushed.
Throwing outside of the box here:
*Jesse (Crystal Beast) vs. Aster (Vision HEROes):* 2 Fusion-oriented archetypes that are very similar.
Heck yes, I'd have loved to see more Midori duels! She's one of my favourite GX characters.

It would have been awsome to have ever show end with the current main character dueling the last one.
For the sole purpose of fan service, I wish this duel took place at the end of Bonds beyond Time. After their duel against Paradox, Judai would be curious about Synchro Monsters and Yugi would add that it could be a good training for Yusei to duel a Fusion Deck before going back to his era.
@@4wheal I know 5ds and Zexal aren't connected like how 5Ds and GX are, but Yuma vs Yusei would probably be the most insane duel considering how strong Yuma was at the end of Zexal

Atticus VS Trueman
Maybe a Jaden and Zane Tag duel?
Axel vs Viper
Bastion vs Alexis
Adrian vs Jim
Bastion vs Sartorious

A few points:
- Rei / Blair was Obelisk Blue, but the duel would’ve been interesting.
- Other than Amon, Judai never dueled Jim Cool outside of Hao. And Judai has never dueled Atticus outside of him being Nightshroud (Supreme King vs Nightshroud?)
- If Sho and Hao dueled it would’ve left Judai with just Chronos.
- If Judai and Hao dueled would both use Super Polymerization?
- Judai vs Pegasus would’ve been awesome.
- A GX Movie is needed.
Other than that another interesting topic would be rematches like Judai vs Zane where Judai finally wins, or other Duels where Judai beats the opponent at fuel strength cause when he dueled Judai he didn’t have Rainbow Dragon. And other Manga duels would be interesting.
Another suggestion is Manga Duels we wish we saw?

I havent touched yugioh for over a year. As soon as i saw this video, i immediately clicked on it. I have to say chazz is my fav yugioh character and i would believe a duel with him against zane would be good and could also somehow clarify that chazz is the main antagonist of jaden and not zane like some people think
Not gonna lie, I kind of liked Amon as a villain, and really would've enjoyed seeing some more duels with him
Would have loved to see Ryo vs Supreme King. Seeing the man who harnessed the darkness be the one to attempt to bring back and take on the boy who was taken in by darkness would have been great to see
I was thinking... I know this wouldn't really be able to fit anywhere in the story at this point, but I'm still certain that a Nightshroud (Fujiwara) vs Hell Kaiser duel would've been very interesting. Just my take though.

On the subject of Syrus vs Haou, what if, whilst dueling, Syrus is pleading with Jaden and reminding him of all the fun, laughter and memories they've had and shared. It wakes Jaden up a bit, but infuriates Haou, who starts playing mire aggressively. Syrus keeps up, defending and attacking, but eventually the stress, exhaustion and starvation he's faced in the past however long catches up and he faints. Still in the duel, but exhausted. Haou laughs, mocking Syrus
Then Zane steps in the finish the duel
I think you actually hit all of the ones I would have thought of, but overall this was a fantastic list. I was going to start listing off personal highlights, but then I realized I was about to list most of the duels in this video lmao.
5:20 He did that was why he was so obsessed with Johan because Johan was his only friend that was a true equal. Sho, Asuka etc. worshipped him and Manjome and Ryo tried to dominate him. Johan was the only one who he could relate to (Manjome could see spirits too but he didn't embrace them like Judai did) that's why he risked everything to save him despite just meeting him..
While it wouldn't have been a one on one duel, I would have liked to see the one of duelists that appeared throughout the 1st & 2nd seasons of GX (Like the Monkey, Belowski, Damon, Harrington Rosewood, Lorenzo, etc.) helped out when the Duel academy was transported during season 3.
Been waiting for this since the 5D's one 👏👌
Edit: Jaden vs Pegasus would absolutely fit before Jaden vs Yugi, given that the point of the latter matchup was to make Jaden remember the fun of dueling. As you said yourself, Pegasus is basically his adult version, so it would make sense if he noticed a change in Jaden's demeanour (or even had Chancellor Sheppard call him out of concern to ask for help) and tried to 'snap him out of it' and 'make him remember why he first picked up a deck' or something like that.
Jaden could have a really tough duel and basically be on the verge of defeat, Yubel could remind him that there are no life or death stakes like in the other dimension so if he can just have fun against a strong and legendary opponent, and if he loses it's okay. Then we could see his eyes glow as he takes his turn and wins in classic protagonist comeback fashion.
After he wins, he shows that he really enjoyed that last turn and notes how long it's been since he's felt like that (kinda like how he was during the tag duel in Season 4 when he noted how he & Alexis hadn't faced each other since their duel in episode 3, only I'd replace that tag tournament with the 2/3 parter showcasing Jaden vs Pegasus).
All in all it makes me think of the Arc-V ending, only done right and not feeling forced.
TL;DR I agree with Jaden vs Pegasus 😂

Great video Dylan. I would have loved to see Jaden vs Syrus in Season 4 to show how much Syrus has grown as a duelist after his duel with the Cyber Shocker. It could have taken place right before they leave and then they have a talk about how he has always admired Judai and wants to test himself one last time to see how much he has improved from 3 seasons ago.
Your Jaden vs Supreme King concept would have been awesome. Can never have enough of the Evil Heroes
I feel like Jaden vs. Haou could have happened in that mirror mind thing that Jaden was trapped in whilst Haou was in control, though I very much doubt Jaden would have been able to beat Haou (which might surprise some admittedly) and my reasoning for why is this: The Supreme King would no doubt use Jaden's guilt over what happened to his friends, and all the things that duelist like Professor Viper said in the past against Jaden, and probably even destroy Jaden's confidence more and more with each passing moment - especially when he uses his fusions against Jaden.
I feel it could have occurred either in-between Jim's duel with Haou, or in the gap between Jim and Axel's duels with Haou, and it could have helped in adding more weight in why Jaden was afraid to use Fusion cards as well perhaps. I might be swinging for the fences and going more into fanfiction than what could have happened, but that's how I see that kind of duel going down.

Zane vs Atticus. Both need more duels and in the manga they were the kings of duel academy with more cool duels like when Zane beat Manjome. Aster has an even better win record. It’s mentioned he beat Aster Phoenix before, he beat David Rabb in a flashback, he beat Jim Crocodile cook, he even beat judai.His only loss was to Aster and that was because a dark power took control and stopped him from playing his winning card letting aster win.
Personally, unlikely and senseless as it would be; Zane vs Sartorius from GX. With Zane's power and blunt conversation in terms of beliefs versus Sartorius' mind games and speeches about fate, it'd make for brilliant dialogue alone.
Failing that, one from 5D's I'd have loved would've been one more duel between Kalin and Yusei. To clear the air so Kalin can be free of his sins, and so we can see the two lead Enforcers together one more time.

Personally I’d like to see Misawa (Bastion) vs Kenzan (Hasselberry) since they’reboth Ra Yellow and their decks or roughly the same using dinosaur and/or rock cards mainly. Plus since Kenzan basically took Misawa’s place as the Ra character in later season 2. I feel it would’ve been interesting. I personally think Misawa would’ve won, and maybe he’d finally catch a break in season 2

With regard to #2, it should be possible. I would imagine it more like an inner spirit type. Like the evil spirit of the supreme King that's taking over Jaiden body. And the good spirit of Jaiden has to duel....

3:00 - She was promoted. Season 4 made it rather explicit that Judai was the only student left who was officially in the Red dorm. I’m pretty sure that was mostly because he stopped showing up to class partway into his third year. First for his rescue quest in Season 3. Then his fusion with Yubel and ensuing trek home became a thing. And finally he lost basically all of his passion for dueling in between having to put up with Darkness.

GX had some much more potential. Judai had like 4 rivals in Chazz, Aster, Jesse, and Zane!! They could’ve had a cool tournament where the winner faces Jaden. Maybe Chazz finally getting a win against Jaden and shows he’s not just a joke character in the later seasons ? Jaden vs Zane rematch where Jaden gets his win? Chazz vs Zane where it be a great battle to see who was the best Obelisk? I dreamed for those duels.

Jim “Crocodile” Cook vs Cyrus. Past (fossils) vs future (machines). Would’ve also been a cool introduction to fossil machine skull convoy. Could’ve been done in season 4 for him to gain his confidence back or something after he failed to help his friend.

There are a ton of cool duels I would've wanted to see in GX. One is probably a duel between Jaden and Zane after the duel between Syrus and Zane in episode 95. Instead, we never got that, Zane just leaves and he's magically a good guy again in season 3 with no explanation.
EDIT: I agree wholeheartedly with another comment that mentioned Jasmine and Mindy Vs Alexis in the SOL arc, and also with Blair Vs Alexis.
With the already absurd amount of duels Yudai had, it’s a good thing he left the spotlight for other characters to defeat some antagonists

Bastion vs Crowler.
Crowler basically finds a way to snap Bastion out of his funk, and show that he's become a better, more compassionate teacher.
I’m honestly surprised none of these happened. At least 6/7 of them would’ve made so much sense.
Especially Jesse vs Syrus. Even as a small rivalry match with Syrus being jealous of Jesse being Jaden’s new best friend, it would’ve made a lot of sense and would’ve given Syrus a bit more of a connection with Jesse and would allow Jesse to interact with the rest of the group more.
I’d imagine Alexis, Blair and Hassleberry would all be cheering Syrus on with Chazz pretending to not care and Jaden being stuck in the middle of them duelling not knowing what to do.
Jaden vs Adrian and Zane vs Chazz were a bit of a missed opportunity as well.

Manjome vs Kaiser was a great duel in the manga and unexpected. Judai losing to manjome was a huge surprise and it showed the power of Kaiser when he dominated him.Also Kaiser needed more wins

I think the Johan vs Sho duel never happened because, as you said, the trigger would have probably been Sho's jealousy. And it would have made him a repeat of his rivalry with Kenzan. And Johan already has too much going on in season 3.
I wanted to see a Johan vs Edo duel. After all, Pegasus considered them the two best duelist out of all the GX characters, only behind Joey, Kaiba and Yugi himself. Rainbow Dragon vs Plasma would have been cool to see.
