    Thanks for the info good job just picked up a1968 thunderbolt and started to fix it up you got some cool bikes

    This is very helpful, but on my '66 there are clamps on the top and bottom of the gaiters and I was looking to see how to remove them. Maybe they are not necessary? They are more complex than typical hose clamps (it's like there are two concentric bands) and I was looking for some direction as to how to loosen them.

    Spraying a bit of wd40 would've made them slide on/off easier

    Cut them off maybe? My gators only lasted about 3 years the ripped.....
