For moving rubber on Steel the best agent is tyre mounting paste. After a while it dissolves completely. Hard to get but your friendly tyre dealer might give you a glass full from his big pot. Last time I exchanged the gaiters on my Vincent I found the rubber quality very poor. Didn't last for 6 months before they broke again. Anyway thanks again for another very entertaining Video!
Thanks Nick. yes, the fitting procedure is the same for your Triumph, but I'm sure that the gaiters are a different model for Triumphs. Your parts manual should have the reference number and they should be easily available. Cheers, Mike
Thanks Steve. You might consider taking a look at the 4 video series by "Lunmad". I'm not sure where you are located so you might need subtitles to understand his Teeside (North East England) accent ;) But he does a really nice job of videoing himself changing the steering bearings on his Triumph. It will be very similar process to your BSA. I have learnt so much from Lunmad. He's truly knowledgeable and a wonderful character. th-cam.com/video/ZyolchdgQX8/w-d-xo.html
Maureen Pilgrim Hi Steve, wow, what a small world. I'm from Scarborough! We have lived in the states for 20 years but moved over here from Scarborough in '97.
Tim was/is a lucky man for having you work on his bike.
Excellent job, now I'm ready to do it on my Thunderbolt. Thank you!

Thank you for making this video. Very informative and camera position allowed clarity of work detail.
Thanks very much for your kind comments. I really appreciate it! Cheers, Mike
Nice tutorial, I feel comfortable doing mine now!
Keep them coming! Great video!
Many thanks! Will do! Cheers, Mike
Nice video, you do nice clean and careful work. Would that be the same for a 67 tiger and would they take the same type of booties. Thank you

Hi Steve, sorry I don't have a video on the head-stock bearings. Best wishes, Mike.
Thanks anyway, I have my manual, but nice to see someone like yourself do it, inspires confidence.

Thanks, I will do, oh and by the way, no offence taken but we live 20 mile south of Teeside in the top of North Yorks, all the best.
Steve
