Please, is it possible to activate the Google Nest Home's wifi by voice while it is offline? Is this device able to understand the voice command if it's disconnected from internet? Thank you.
Unfortunately, without the internet Google Nest Home will not even respond to anything except letting us know that it is not connected. You have to be connected to the WiFi and have to do it manually before commanding google nest. Voice activation for WiFi is not possible for now.
@@JimboSuson Thank you very much. It's a pity as Google Assistant in my Android smartphone can understand my voice command and activate wifi even if it's offline. So in Google Nest Home I have to manually turn on and turn off wifi. Is it as fast as in an Android smartphone? In order to turn on and off fastly wifi, is there an airplane mode?
@@Francalberto71 Because Google Nest Hub is being controlled by the Google Home App, the speed will rely on your phone. My experience has been pretty good. I am using an android phone as well. There is no airplane mode with google home, even if you phone is on or off or in airplane mode, as long as you did not manually disconnect the google home from the internet, it will still be connected.
i have a problem with my nest hub max. i have done everything from restarting the wifi and even did a few times factory reset. Yet i still ended up with the displaying showing “CHECK INTERNET CONNECTION’” Maybe you might have a solution for it. Cheers
Having trouble connecting 2nd new google hub to wi-fi. As per your instructions, I can go up to connect to wi-fi, But I get a connection failed error message, Although my other google products like max, door bell and thermostat are working fine on same wi-fi. Any suggestions, please.
Everytime I get a connection failed error, I unlink that specific device from my google home app. Then I do it again. That usually does the trick. Let me know.
the instruction top left hand side of phone (google home app) is a +, tap on that, add network. does NOT work on mine..... only + is under settings to invite a person
This was way better than what I got from their website, because the display looked like mine! Until... Where it tells you it connects, mine says cannot connect. Display says it's trying to connect to my old account when I told it to connect to my new one. What's going wrong?
How is it accessing and retrieving the the new wi fi password, without you putting it in. what's the point of having a password if it can bypass you entering it. Google says it doesn't use wps, so how ???
It happens when I have inputted my information already and asked to save on my phone. It can also happen when I did the same with my other google home devices.
When I choose 'forget network' it goes back to the home screen, but when I go to the settings again it still shows my network. I delete my Mini from the Google Home app, switch my phone to my new network and then I add the Mini again. It automatically chooses my old network, not my new one. I have been messing with this for an hour, read every guide I could find..
I am doing those steps but unfortunately it comes up with cannot connect if I touch the screen in any part of the process it instantly takes me back to the beginning. It's doing this on three different kinds of devices.
I think I’m gonna rid myself of the google stuff soon.... it’s unreal to me how google can make such terrible products, dispute being a heavy hitter in the industry.... google has really gone down hill...
Thank you! This was perfect and solved my problem!

none of my other devices will show up...can't link my 5 other nest devices to new wifi.
try unlinking all the devices first from your app then redo the setup
Okay what happens if your phone can't connect to the hub??
Tried all of this including manual reset and power cycling, still doesn't connect to app.

that is interesting. have you tried uninstalling and installing the app? This video might help too th-cam.com/video/__MjBX73pxk/w-d-xo.html
So my wifi just changed. Now my hub won't connect. I do all the steps it says connected and then it says it can't communicate with the wifi.
try unlinking the hub first
@@JimboSuson I did that. I finally just had to factory reset it. Then it worked proper. Thank you for the response.
Can't connect to Google hub
I tried exactly same steps but still can’t connected the nest hub
I changed my password, not the wifi, how do I do that?
It should be the same.
Mine keeps saying that it's connecting to the wrong wifi
Try resettinh the hub first.
I tried didn’t work
There is something that you may have missed.
@@JimboSuson I reset my nest huh to do so and work
glad it worked out
I did all of this even before watching this video and it STILL failed. Said it could not connect
