Hi!!! I have a mini google home speaker and I am having difficulty to set it up. i changed my internet company and since then i have been having issues to set it up again. I even reset the speaker and still does not connect.it says google home mini found, I click yest to continue and it says connecting to google home mini but after a while it says that could not be set up. I guess because is not showing the wifi network. how can i fix this and make it work? It has been a struggle to make it work for over a week since I got it.
Hi Myra, try this. 1. Go to Google Home App 2. Tap settings. 3. Scroll Down under "Rooms, Groups and Devices" Look for your mini. It should still be there even if it isn't connected. Tap that. 4. Now you should be in the device settings. You can do 2 things here, either forget wifi or all the way to the bottom look for "Remove Device". I'd say tap on remove device. 5. It will ask you if you want to remove and unlink, tap remove. 6. You should still be in the device settings after. Scroll to the top and you will see "Linking Required" 7. Tap on that. then it will as you where the device is. Choose the appropriate one. Then click next. Then just follow the prompt. 95% of the time this should work. Please let me know. I could make a video of this is needed.
I keep getting “something went wrong” your kitchen device maybe set up, but we could not communicate with your iPhone. It’s possible that your nest hub and iPhone are connected to networks that are unable to talk to one another. This may require a small change to your wifi settings. I just dont know what “change”????
Oh that is interesting. The only thing I could think of is the 2.4 ghz vs 5 ghz. I noticed iphones tend to connect to 5 ghz auto. What you can do is disable the 5 ghz network on your router.
Great video question.. I did that my google home is working but now my lights and A/c has a ! Sign I can't voice control them now .. u think I have to reprogram them again?
I tried several videos to connect my google mini to new wif, neither one helped. I found out on my own. In my android tablet when I open google home, there's a plus sign button on the left. To set up a device you have to click on that and follow the directions. It's simple when you find the Plus sign button, but there are several videos on youtube that don't mention that.
