      Yes, it’s fascinating and all credit to him for being transparent in his changing and not pretending he isn’t, which is what we humans often do to avoid admitting we were once wrong. He shows that being wrong is not a fault if we turn it into a footstep.

      @Darren Before I was born again I had no clue to Whom I was praying. No concept of Who God is. I only hoped He was there and that He heard me. That's what Russell is doing. Until God removes the blindness NONE of us can do any better than Russell is doing now. At least he is open to God. I hope it continues and that Jesus saves him. The things you've said about him and the curse words you've used don't serve your statements well at all. We are all narcissists to some degree or another until the salvation process begins. Let's hope this continues to salvation for Russell.

      Yes I miss this version a bit. He gets a wee bit much for me now and then I head down that rabbit hole of entertainment via the crazy media exposed!! He’s best like this or in group convo with Rogan and other interesting highly thoughtful humans. Sick of those logs! Ha. I know he probably chops wood but after all the Covid lockdowns I’m just like exhausted from the faux homey logs. He’s so real.

    It’s a very important point that praying is not about asking, which simply keeps you in a place of wanting. Gratitude is very powerful.

    i cannot begin to tell you, russell, how much this particular segment means to me being in such a deep state of grief, anger, resentments. i hang on to every word and feel a sense of freedom, hope. a place to start . i am forever grateful!

    -pray for healing for others
    -pray to be in alignment

      @@Nick-vr6fe Not necessarily philosophy but extremely well written I would read some Oscar WIlde whom Russell is a huge fan of. No one writes like that anymore, his stuff is magical. "The importance of being ernest" "The Picture of Dorian Gray" should probably read them all :)
      As for Philosophy books there are so many different facets, I lean more toward eastern philosophy Alan watts, Eckhart Tolle -Power of Now, A New Earth , Don Miguel Ruiz - The Four Agreements, These one are more pick up and read a couple of pages and put down: Marcus Aurelius - Meditations, Lao Zsu, Confucius.

      Ignore those depressed people Melanie. They'll realise their misfortune the day their maker wakes them upon death and ask the what good they did and how they repaid God for creating them.     I don’t take a single step in the morning when I wake up without prayer first. I also pray throughout the day and of course before sleep at night. I guess I just need A LOT of guidance!❤️

    Loved this - I've been working on praying from a place of "knowing" rather than a place of "hoping".... Feeling gratitude for what is already being attracted into my life rather than feeling stressed for what is missing.. the results have been MAGICAL ✨

    I love when the Holy Spirit intervenes in the wee hours of the morning. A gentle niudge on my mind encouraging me into my own prayer. One of the many gifts. 💖

    Yes Mr. Brand, prayer is certainly the answer. I say my Rosary 6 times a week, and "The Divine Mercy Chaplet" on Sundays. I can't imagine NOT praying!!!!

    A good one, I find, is to meditate on and break down the Lord’s Prayer / the “Our Father” and apply it to myself.
    Jesus said “pray LIKE this” he didn’t say, “Pray these exact words or I’m not listening 😑”
    It’s basically a prayer which acknowledges God’s existence and presence, then asks God to give us what we need so that there can be Heaven on Earth and to help us love properly, to look past our weaknesses and deliver us from shame and guilt and all that is bad for us.
    There’s loads you can off on tangents with... I find it quite amazing and very helpful.

    I have never before seen anything with Russell Brand that I enjoyed or thought was worth my time. I always thought of him as goofy and undisciplined. This was very thoughtful and worthwhile.

      Mr. Erhman has changed his views about the divinity of Jesus. Doesn’t seem to be a teacher who embraces the Bible as an inerrant communication from the most high consciousness.

      Be ye filled with the Holy Spirit.
      There's more to Christianity that clasping hands and praying. The Holy Spirit prays for you because you know not what to pray for and how you ought.
      The way to get the Holy Spirit to pray for you is first to believe in Jesus Christ as your saviour.
      You may say: save me from what?
      To that I'd say from sin.
      Sin is the choice of destructive or unproductive options of serving oneself instead of relying upon God to serve us. Yes I said serve. The problem is that the method chosen does not seem destructive or unproductive but eventually it is.
      God wants us to have an abundant life and only his own way can ensure that and when we don't trust him to guide us to that abundant life through obedience to his word then we have chosen death...
      That choice of another way apart from God's way is what sin is and absolutely all of us have sinned at various times but God sent his son Jesus Christ to reconcile us to himself by his blood instead of ours.
      When you then believe in Jesus Christ as the saviour that God sent to reconcile you to himself, he forgives your sin and gives you his Holy Spirit. This Holy Spirit is then the power that enables you to always choose God's ways in all situations instead of yours...
      The Holy Spirit will teach you right from wrong and give you life saving information every time.
      Jesus said, when the Holy Spirit comes he will lead us into all truth...
      He will uncomplicate life and show you things you never knew.
      He taught me the secrets to lasting marriage without me reading any book except the Bible and it completely revolutionized my life and he can do the same for you.

    This makes me happy. I feel like while I'm good with things like math and computers, I need extra help with this topic. I need a substitute teacher, I need summer school. I need all the help. Constant help, constant reminders. Thank you Russell. I'm going to try to pray more this week.

    I walk around asking short prayers for guidance on matters day in and out. Noticed the more prayers of gratitude I send out the more returns to be greatful for. Started tithing and it's true have not been broke since. Before living pay check to pay check. Now have savings. I often get texts from people who are in crisis. My response urge is one thing but a short prayer asking how to respond instead brings a whole new perspective to reply, I see thru lots of bull and drama very often after the short prayer. Very often my response has been➡
    This is a bunch of drama started by gossip. Don't get involved or you will make it worse and end up the villain.
    Shocking how many respond you are right and so wise. But had I responded using self .. I might have made the matter worse by advising the route I would take from a worldly perspective.

    This was so good! Expressing gratitude. Understanding others' perspective, and not forcing our own. Praying to stay woke to what is around and not become self-absorbed in our own private consciousness. Praying for healing for others that are suffering. Listening for subtler information in nature. Praying to be useful. This is so, so, good.

    As Muslims we have 5 mandatory prayers throughout the day , the main purpose of these 5 prayers is to submit to god alone and feel grateful for giving us all of the blessings we have

      Yes, we were made in God’s image.
      He honoured us and gave us power over His Creation.
      However, we must be very careful not interpret that concept as that we are gods.
      Our purpose is to serve Him and serve each other.
      We are to glorify Him with our praise to Him, and with our way of living.
      And yes, the Muslim prayers are just pure religion.
      Starting with it being “mandatory”
      I think God expects us to have a better relationship with him than having us forced to do certain things.
      If you recruit slaves, how do you know whether they serve you for love or fear? 🙄

    - Use prayer as a way to focus intention. Not wanting stuff.
    - Worrying is praying for things you don't want.
    1. Pray for consciousness to made you ready. Say: Awaken me. I want to see. Make me compassionate. Make me useful. Make me ready.
    2. Pray to be grateful for things in your life. Be thankful for the life you get to live. Be thankful for having a body that functions. Be thankful for the beautiful relationships in your life.
    3. Use the prayer to envision your next day, and ask to be useful. Envision yourself not going unconscious. To know that you will be challenged. To be focus in what matters.
    4. Pray for the healing of others. For the people you hurt or are hurting.
    5. Pray to be in alignment. To be in alignment with nature and this world. To become unlimited. To release your old past and shadows of the ego. To remember you can change yourself and be anything you want.

    Awesome, I have prayed a little bit. I find it helps although the meditation is what really helped me. I have quit weed for a month and a half now and I feel so much better. Something God communicated to me was to quit, and he cant help me unless I were to help myself. Now im doing quite well :) Thanks for your inspirational videos they have helped me.

    I started praying every single night a few months ago after I was at my lowest and I prayed for happiness/safety/joy.. Then I felt all of it.. I was happy again and full of joy…. Then lately I’ve been asking for things and wanting things now I’m slowly getting depressed again.. because my main focus is on things that don’t align with me.. like I feel the low vibrations right now…. But every time I feel it throughout the day I think about God and needing him….

      Skip heitzig (think that’s how you spell it) he has a thing called “the Bible from 30,000 feet” bunch of videos, good to listen in order. It’s an overview of everything in the Bible. Not super deep, hence the 30000 feet, as if you are looking at the Bible from way up in a plane.
      John hagee or john hagee ministries
      Lion of Judah (this one is really good, but not good to go to sleep with, since there are too many commercials, since you are laying down you can’t get up to skip them)
      Grace for purpose prayers (their playlist is awesome, it just keeps praying different things and you find yourself agreeing with the prayer till you fall asleep, really good)
      And on the radio (they also have an app) it’s called “the bridge Christian radio” they have some music, especially on Sunday. But mostly pastors explaining the Bible.

The historicity of the New and Old Testaments or beyond compare.     Yes you are absolutely correct and get it and so much more than many who are following Yeshua - Jesus even for a long timealready. You get its not about self but praying unselfishly for others. Also about wanting to pray not for what we want but about OUR CREATORS WILL for us and coming into alignment with Him and what He wants which is what is best for us but not necessarily what we THINK it is rather what we need, Thats when prayer is answered. Sometimes we will be put through trials in order to get where we need to get but this only will refine us better to be able to see more and more clearly and that His will is the ultimate best. If we did it HIs way from the start we wouldnt be in this mess. He wants us to be prepared and willing to meet HIm and live with HIm for eternity.
    He will allow but ultimately for our ETERNAL SOUL be saved and to be able to go to HIm and the Father who loves us all but has ONLY LIMITED HIS OWN POWER AS FAR AS MANS WILL to choose to narrow path. If we choose to exclude HIm from our lives here He will honour that into eternity. Pray HIs will in our lives and that of our loved ones and we should be good to go.

    I 'have' been praying since I was 6 yrs old..........So I 'know' what prayer is...and YOU have hit the nail on the head...MOST people do NOT ...pray 'thankfulness' first.........as well as all of what you've said 'especially' for those less fortunate......!!

    Praying awakens the soul. Frees the soul from the chains one has put it in. Unblocks the daily suffering and axiety one may go through and ultimately constrains the ego especially when in a routine.

      the english translations of the quran cant encompass all of the meaning (when a text is translated, it loses 10-20% of its meaning)
      so il share an additional translation which clarifies this verse a little more.

      Behold! Allah said: "O Jesus! I will take thee and raise thee to Myself and clear thee (of the falsehoods) of those who blaspheme; I will make those who follow thee superior to those who reject faith, to the Day of Resurrection: Then shall ye all return unto me, and I will judge between you of the matters wherein ye dispute.
      you're using a verse which is saying that, "Jesus peace be upon him will be raised to God and cleared of falsehoods of blasphemers", is a proof of his divinity. this is ironic. We don't need to argue this, im comfortable letting God be the judge about this matter.
      additionally, orthodox jews can't pray inside churches. They also recognize that creating idols to worship is blasphemy, however, they can pray inside mosques and they consider islam to be the religion of true monotheism for the gentiles.
      Sahih International 3:59
      Indeed, the example of Jesus to Allah is like that of Adam. He created Him from dust; then He said to him, "Be," and he was.
      There are verses right after the one you quoted as a proof to Jesus pbuh being divine which clearly show that his creation is like that of Adam.
      examine the historical development of the mainstream christian narrative. Muslims also don't believe in the original sin, as it is illogical to be penalized by the most just (God) for something we were not responsible for.

      in the other translation of the verse it stated that it jesus would be made clear of those who blaspheme.
      in the first translation as well, it was not disbelieving in jesus, but "those who disbelieve".
      in the way you articulated this sentence,
      "That was the verse in Quran which signifies how Allah will cut the association of those who disbelieve in him from those who believe till the day of resurrection."
      you make it look like the quran is saying that those who disbelieve in jesus will be cut off from salvation, but this is a mischaracterization if it is interpreted that way.
      those who disbelieve are people who do not believe in the religion of God and in God himself. you seem to be conflating belief in God and jesus the verse is saying that jesus will be free from those who disbelieve in the truth/God/the true faith.

      you claim that God Shares his attributes with Jesus and doesnt simple give them the power of those specific miracles, but i can't reconcile that with this bible verse:
      “I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.” John 5:30
      the nature of God (being 1 or 2 or 3) should be very clear. in the quran and the bible God is characterized as being One, with even Jesus pbuh claiming the lord is one. the trinity came hundreds of years after the coming of christ. unitarian christians exhisted before trinitarians. how do you reconcile this fact?
      was the nature of God hidden from all of the previous prophets and only revealed to your religion centuries after the prophet who delivered his message to the children of israel left this earth?
      I do believe that the image of god in christianity as a white man is very problematic in terms of racial supremacy as well.
      you still haven't replied to the point on orthodox jewsish people not being allowed to pray in churches. really consider these facts and try to reason.

      @Joy Sunny there is literally no place in the quran that says jesus should be worshipped alongside the quran. If you have a presupposition that Jesus peace be upon him is a person of God then its how you would misinterpret certain verses like that. After all, the verses about his divinity in the bible are all ambiguous.
      In the verse 9:31 that you quoted, it states that they have taken scholars and monks as lords besides allah, and also jesus. The grammatical structure in arabic is different than in english so you're not used to this, but there allah and jesus are seperate in the english translation. If you read it properly you would understand that this verse is refering to scholars and monks, and also jesus being taken as lords besides Allah. This a structure you can more easily comprehend as an english speaker.
      You still haven't replied to the previous points ive made and are bringing up new points without addressing anything iv said prior. You are also insulting my faith by calling the quran stupid. It is clear to me that you are either emotionally charged with no aim for understanding or simply not equipped with the mental faculty to process this information.
      If you tried to talk to me in a respectful way, as i have spoken to you, we could have continued this conversation, but its useless now. No matter what proofs i show you, or the facts i use to rebut your points, you will bring in MORE points which stem from a misunderstanding of the original scripts (the bible, torah and the quran). Im happy living my life in accordance to the doctrine of Abraham and all of the prophets and i don't wish to incorporate pagan ideas into my worship. i think subjugating my religious views to a doctrine which i know has gone through centuries of theological development is a disservice to my own soul.       a real mark of intelligence (recognizing that intelligence isn't a fixed measurement) that I wish was recognized by the masses. a lot of people who make things into large complex ordeals often don't actually sink into the details and assume that 'it' is "easy" or "impossible", which hinders learning in them. by extension that person will kneecap understanding of others as well.

    The beauty about prayer comes from the soul and heart, and is something that should be put as a constant inside your heart, not like having to pray 5 times a day because someone is telling you to do and out of egoistic intentions only, but rather because your soul is connected to the creator in a pure and natural way.     Praying with a humble heart is much easier to do when I understand how great and loving God is. He cares for us and sent Jesus to take our place so we could live with Him forever in heaven! Prayer is awesome and Jesus is amazing!

      Y M We have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, and are deserving of hell bc we have broken Gods rules. But God wants us to be in Heaven with Him, so he sent Jesus to live a perfect life and be a sacrifice for us, paying the debts of our sins so that whoever believes in Him, that he died and rose 3 days later, will be saved.

      Y M That’s a great question! God is both just and merciful. In order for justice to prevail, the debt of our sins must still be paid, which Jesus did on His death through the cross. Because God is merciful, he did this for us. Before Jesus came, the Jewish people had to offer burnt sacrifices at an alter, done by a priest in order for their sins to be forgiven. Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice, so we can be made right with God.
