Be careful with the Steamy dynamic. Your sim will have "Thinking about partner" autonomous interaction. It's annoying because it will happened when your sim is sleeping resulting your sim waking up multiple times throughout the night.
That would be unrealistic, plus different body types exist. Even then, im skinny but tall and on a single bed there is no room for cuddling, barely for sleeping. 💀
i'm so glad i wasn't the only person thinking the blanket item had to be a subtle reference to that incident. i know packs take a whole to develop, and that was pretty recent, but..... c'mon...
@@marinadela1361 Yeah, every game aged a bit, but I doubt any will age as bad as The Sims 4 unless they keep updating it several years out to remove the slang. I'd argue TS2 aged the best, most of the furniture and outfits were timeless or at least nostalgic.
I think it's nice they didn't, like an acknowledgment that it's important to call things by their name, especially something so important as sex education
I wish they also had like the Sims 2, where you could love a sim, but that same sim could hate you at the same time, bc they are 2 different peiple with different perceptions

12:56 the picnic itself does work without the picnic basket as well. just click on the blanket and select one of the options. if you meant that in order to have a "real" picnic with both a blanket and a basket you need both packs, then I agree. but when I first discovered that the basket slots to the blanket I was actually excited, cross-pack compatibility is always a win in my book
Sadly Sims can't prefer bodytypes anymore. I understand why, "times have changed" or whatever, but I have Sims I'd imagine would prefer heavyset, thin, or muscular Sims and it feels kind of immersion breaking that we got Outfit Colors instead
The sims 2 turn on/off system resulted in every premade couple having zero attraction to each other - or even worse. Even if I tried to deliberately alter them to fit the other sim in the couple, they never managed to hit it off.
@@slwrabbits You need to use SimPE to fix that. Even if you're not a modder SimPE is basically mandatory for every Sims 2 player to learn unless they don't mind save corruption.
One thing that is pretty cool, you can teach your child sims about relationship dynamics and romantic satisfaction to give them a new trait when they age up
they need to start adding animations for specific objects instead of using that basic default animation sims use for everything 😭 the one abi pointed out during the axolotl section of the video (i also don’t like how they pull out a motherboard looking tablet and start fixing it for every electronic device in the game… i miss my sims having to pull the tv and work on the back of it 😭)
the tablet is also used for too.. idk why its so hard for a triple A to deliver such tiny yet immersive details.. i mean i do know why. we are talking about EA at the end of the day

Okay, I was really unsure about getting this pack (as I already had mods that did a lot of this), but I have to admit, the sweetheart box looks cute, I like the picnic blanket (though yes, it's embarrassing that we need TWO packs to have a picnic on a blanket), and some of those phone calls and the Ring Bear thing look pretty amusing. XD I dunno if it's enough to sway me, but -- we'll see.
You don't need both packs to have the picnic. It works without the basket from Cottage Living, but they added the cross pack compatibility by creating a place for the basket to slot if you DO choose to bring it.

When my Korean hubby first heard Indonesian (Abi's native language), he said, "This sounds like Spanish, but I can't understand it at all." 😂Indonesian language reads very similar to Romantic languages, but many Indonesian words actually came from Dutch, Hindi, and Arabic due to the history (yay trading, yay colonialism? 😂)
4:19 I think that it's a reference from a tiktoker who had a axolotel and most of their videos were about drawing things on the aquarium's glass (like mustaches, for example) so it looked like the axolotle looked like if it had a mustache, in this case.

It still feels like lovestruck is a game pack not an expansion pack and I've not decided if it's worth the 40$. I'm still watching every video and let's play in it.
I still think that most of the interaction should have been in base game, while the others should have been into a single pack among the other thousand of game pack. Anyway, you've done an amazing work with this video Abi, good job as always ✨️
Whichever team this is, I would love them to do an overhaul on the existing games and add the details they have so lovingly added to this pack. They really took the rest of the game into consideration. For a while there, it was like every pack was a separate game.
I'm surprised to say that, even with the bugs, and maybe with the bar being so low, I'm actually impressed with this pack. But romance is the sims game I play, so maybe that's why 😂

the thing is , why there is auto break ups, when sims don't cheat on partner autonomous, I would have to do it manually and intentionally put the other sim in front of it to get caught. I would love to have some randomness and more autonomy and not directed autonomy and complete control if I want some chaos or drama.
You were wrong about not getting anything special from completing the Axolotl collection. As with every other collection in the game, you get a plaque in the mail once you complete it. This plaque has a cute little gold emblem on it and has a little blurb about the collection when you hover over it.
The dialogue options convinced me that this expansion is attempting to parody Sims mockingly. It also convinced me that the development team was replaced by new people who don't know the first idea how to create content. One of the most important things about making your product last is that you do not introduce language that is inherently temporary. I'm sure "rizz" will age well...

Glad you showed what the ghost looks like and what they do. Others have covered the deaths, but not the ghosts. I was quite curious about it.

Apparently there's quite a bit of Arabic in both, and both have words from/used in Portuguese so there's quite a few similarities 😄. I love languages!
