The classic look is great... that looks so much better than some of the newer bikes.

A great bike! Been riding the H.C. since buying it brand new off the dealer floor last fall. Have the same exact color as the reviewer and agree with MOST of what he observed and experienced. My only "push back" would be in the area of design/appearance. Yes; it is classic old school with the pin wheels, foot boards, tri-light head lamp set up, windshield, - a modern throwback to the HD's of my youth - in fact, as a former motorcycle cop in the late 70's early 80's (electra-glide 1200 was my departments bike of choice) the H.C is a more powerful, much more refined, better handling, smoother riding version of my beloved police bike. Call it nostalgia but that timeless Harley design continues to be really cool to some of us old guys!
The point? We who buy this bike, LOVE the traditional classic style/design. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and we who've put down $20,000 plus on the new 2023 would agree: one of the main appeals of this beauty IS the old school look!

I'm 68 and want to keep riding for many years to come. I can see myself driving this thing in my 90's. Easy to handle, comfy and great suspension. Love my Heritage! Why don't all Harley's ride like this out of the box??

I had a Heritage Classic. I loved it, I am short (actually I am not short I am under tall) and it is about the biggest bike I can easily handle. It was Sunglow Red, fully chromed out and absolutely gorgeous. Yes it was old school, and it caught the eye. Guys, youngsters, and especially - repeat especially - the ladies would walk up to me a chat about the bike. I even had folks at stop lights yell and comment on the bike. It is certainly not a sport-bike, nor is it a straight-line screamer, but it handles the 4 lanes and truck wind buffeting, passes the the semis with aplomb, and was fun on the rough back roads. This is a gentleman’s bike. And is not for the “screaming death machine crowd.” And is not for the shy types as it get a lot of attention. I rode it from southern Pa to Ontario Canada twice while in my 60’s . If health permitted I would be on one right now in my mid 70’s.

The new Icon Hydra-glide is the best looking softail for me followed by the Heritage or Deluxe because they look like the original 'form follows function' Harley...every other model is a less comfortable 'function follows form' stylization. If Harley did the Heritage bags and seat a little more like the Icon Hydra-Glide they'd sell better I think.

I think that Harley needs to KEEP the Heritage as is and then make an “updated” version for those interested. One thing that some say is boring about Harley is that they never change much styling wise. Although it is true to a degree that is what I love about the brand. They nailed a look and they just keep making very minor updates to keep the bikes competing with the competition. Look at the styling changes to the new CVO Glides. I really like what they’ve done. Who wouldn’t rush down to the Ford dealership or the Chevrolet dealership if they produced a 2023 Mustang or Chevelle that looked entirely identical to the cars of the sixties?

I own a 2002 FSXTDI soft tail Deuce. The frame is 2cm larger than other soft tail models in 2002. New Harleys are visibly smaller. The most obvious that new Harleys are shorter in length. The gas tank on my Deuce is much longer when sitting next to new Soft tails. My bike is more comfortable than the new ones. And I don't require a scanner tool to fix it. If you ride looking through your windshield, it's too tall.

I used to hammer my 2017 fatbob to work and could notice effects in hands from vibration, I have a 22 114 HC now and I don't ever feel that. It's a smoother bike on the vibrations, some people don't like that for character I've read. Suspension I like on this bike, and this HC makes me google pics of em when I ain't around to see it sometimes haha. I'll admit, I want a cam and pipes and all that because the whirl of m8 stock sticks out sometimes. But other than stock sound, this bike will stay with me for sure and may become a future wife's bike. I have the blacked out 114 with spokes and the color is reef blue and black

The current softail frame was redesigned and came out starting with the 2018 model year.
In October 2017, maybe November, I went to my local Harley dealer and test road a Fat Boy, then the Heritage. (I had just returned home a month earlier from attending AIMEXpo in Columbus Ohio, seeing all the new bikes the manufacturers had on display).
I loved the looks of the Fat Boy but was not impressed with its handling, for me at least. I fell in love with the Heritage though after my test ride.
I expressed my positive feelings to the dealer about the bike save for one thing, spoked wheels. I will not purchase an on-road bike with spoked wheels unless the spokes attach to the wheel in such a way that you can run tubeless tires on the rims a la BMW R1200/R1250 or Triumph Tiger 1200.
Unfortunately, the Heritage was offered only with spoked wheels that use inner tubes. Needless to say I did not purchase a Heritage at that time.
Last summer (summer 2022) I viewed a video where a TH-camrs friend purchased a 2022 Heritage that came equipped with cast aluminum rims and tubeless tires.
I checked Harleys website and it showed the Heritage available with either spoked wheels or cast wheels.
      Sign me UP!
      I purchased a 2022 Reef Blue/Vivid Black Heritage end of September 2022.
I have since added a QuadLock phone mount, a front engine guard and an Advanblack King tour pack.
I recently rode the Heritage from southeast PA to Myrtle Beach South Carolina to attend Myrtle Beach bike week to have one of the venders install an accessory I wanted for my bike. First long ride. Twelve hours to ride down and twelve hours to ride back. 1382 miles total.
      I’m happy with the Heritage.
