    This is from World Series of Rock July 28th, 1979 Cleveland, Ohio. One of the best concerts I ever went to. Scorpions, Journey, Thin Lizzy, AC/DC, Ted Nugent and Aerosmith. The entire AC/DC performance is on TH-cam

      AC/DC was 2nd I believe. Young Scorps, full on spandex opened. On the field, so flipping hot. Case of beer in two gallon jugs, styrofoam cooler. Big girl, struggling, sees the cooler and tries to sit, cooler explodes, beer saved. Nuge and Smith, agreed one of the best concerts ever.

Track list very intense, 4 me the best song are:riff, sin, kicked in the teeth and , down payment\gimme a bullet. 1978 is the yars of my born, cool.

    and the beauty of Bonn was that you listen to this, his vocals are as good at the studio version. Completely masterful singer, composer, showman. Look at how he gets the non-mic arm bent and back from his torso to get his chest thrust out. Little power moves like that just make the live stage show!

    Even though the audio quality is not the best, it´s FAR MORE better than the horrible sound AC/DC has today! Way to much gain.
    No Bon Scott, no Malcolm Young, no Phil Rudd. This video here shows AC/DC, not a few old, tired man. The 70s rules!

    • @kutsumiru
      @kutsumiru 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hosenrolle1 The newer albums of theirs have cut back on the gain. Compare the guitar tones of Let There Be Rock to the tones of Stiff Upper Lip.
      Have you ears?

    • @Hosenrolle1
      @Hosenrolle1 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Have YOU ears? Those new albums might sound not so crappy as the albums of the 80s, but they still sound like overproduced studio productions, with filters etc.
      Listen for example to an album like "Let there be rock", the beginning of the song Overdose. You can even hear the humming of the amplifier!
      But today, everything sounds artificial, probably because todays audience don´t want that raw sound AC/DC had back in the 70s. They want "perfect" studio productions.

    • @kutsumiru
      @kutsumiru 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I agree with you. I love the raw grittiness of old AD/DC. However, your comment came off as saying that their new albums have too much gain; when in fact it was the old ones that were loaded up on it.

    • @Scalamander
      @Scalamander 9 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      +Hosenrolle1 They dont use gain..its all volume. Angus, Malcolm and Stevie use non Master-Volume amps.

    • @Hosenrolle1
      @Hosenrolle1 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      But their sound today has much more distortion. Back then, the sound was very bluesy, the guitars sound dry and powerful. Today, for me it sounds very "juicy" and loud, but not powerful.
      And the bass too. In the 70s, you could hear the notes the bass was playing, also a very dry and powerful sound, but today it´s not. :(
