Welcome to AC/DC, arguably the greatest pure rock and roll band of all time. Pick a song, any song, every single one is a banger. You have GOT to see a live video.
This is where the name came from: "Malcolm and Angus developed the idea for the band's name after Margaret pointed out the symbol "AC/DC" on the AC adapter of her sewing machine. A.C./D.C. is an abbreviation for alternating current/direct current electricity. " Do Crazy Train by Ozzy Osborne 😄 The Guy on the guitar is Angus (always wears the school boy shorts). The move is probably from Chuck Berry, but not sure.
The dance is the "duckwalk" originated by chuck Berry. They had an earlier lead vocalist (Bon Scott) who also had a unique voice as well-the lead singer here is Brian Johnson. AC/DC means alternate current-direct current. Guitarist dancing is Angus Young. group is from australia. check out their videos For Those About To Rock and Let There Be Rock (Bon Scott).
That guitar riff is done with 1 string. "AC/DC" literally came from the nameplate from an old Singer sowing machine. Angus Young started by rocking out after school, still in his school uniform and has been the bands co-front man ever since (and still in his school uniform), they have had 4 lead singers, Bon Scott, from Fremantle (Western Australia) and Brian Johnson from England being the main 2 ones and Malcom Young, Angus' older brother, on rhythm guitar was the one who put together the band's rhythm. Yer, if you want to see an entire stadium bounce, River Plate, something like "Highway to Hell", really anything River Plate. The band was built for live music, the pub scene in Australia, then the whole world, they do have the second biggest selling album of all time, only second to Michael Jackson's Thriller and something like the 5th biggest overall album selling band of all time.
damn good clip! many of today's award-winning "creators" can only dream of filming something that will still be great and fresh even after 30-40 years!
You MUST do Soul Stripper with first lead singer Bon Scott. Rock'n as they are with Brian, Bon Will ALWAYS RULE!!! Soul Stripper will blow your doors off the hinges!!!
AC/DC stands for the two electrical currents (alternative current/ direct current. The lightning voltage sign between is electrical power. I put / as don't have power sign available. The song Thunderstruck was inspired after they got hit by lightning whilst flying in plain back in the day. Avagud1
Lol… it sounds a lot harder than it is to the untrained ear…. It’s all one string and a bunch of hammer on and pull offs…that why I learned it… to impress the ladies 🤣
Chuck Berry was doing that dance in the 50's and could still do it into his 70's. If you do any more AC/DC make sure it's a concert version. That's a must for people like them and Janis Joplin or Joe Cocker or several others
Be it jazz fusion, classical , country or rock- it’s called “noodling”. Skillful repetition of the same sequential notes. Sounds impressive, but serious musicians shake their heads.
i'm still cracking up about your reaction to Wild Cherry. white. YES. AC/DC is electrical current. Are you doing Zepplin Whole Lotta Love? That I gotta see. Loves you big.
YOU"VE BEEN THUNDERSTRUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Angus and Malcolm youmg are brothers angus is considered top twenty lead guitarist and Malcolm is considered top five to ten rhythm in the world check it out
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but their first release was in '74 (check out "Jailbreak") ... and they've been rockin' ever since. The peak of their fame came with their Back in Black album (2nd biggest album of all time ... behind "Thriller). Deep rabbit-hole with these guys. Have a fun trip. Also check out: "Sin City", "What's Next to the Moon", "TNT", "Walk All Over You", "Girl's Got Rhythm" .....
@@BigDaddy115 His first name was Dave, I think. That's as much as I can remember. I was raised on these guys, but this is a bit of trivia that I don't know. Good one!
If you think Brian Johnson has a good voice you need to listen to ACDC with the original from with bon Scott. Scott died in 1980 and then Brian came in and replaced them you need to listen to ACDC with lead man fun Scott voice is so much better
Its funny but the band took its name from the label off of the sewing machine belonging to Malcolm and Angus Young's sister. It said AC/DC. The brothers thought that could represent what they wanted to play...high voltage Rock and Roll. In Australia they call the band Akka Dakka
Brian Johnson is the frontman. He replaced the original frontman Bon Scott after Bon's death. When asked how he keeps his voice so strong, Brian smiled and said, "Whiskey and a pack of cigarettes a day!" He was the frontman for a band called Geordie. Off stage Brian is very soft spoken with a very pleasant Newcastle accent.
They are one of the very few bands that survived, went on to produce some of the most iconic songs still today, after the loss of their lead singer.

Brian Johnson? Rod Stewart's voice (Gaelic Tenor) if you smoked unfiltered cigarettes since 1st Grade.

Just watched new movie The Fall Guy tonight and had this song at the beginning. Epic.
Is the film worth checking out?
