Looks like the beginning was cut off the lead singer is KC (white) he announces at the beginning that he’s KC of KC and the sunshine band and introduces the song!
The time period is STILL TODAY. Some watch this music genre & think we're NOW a racist country?? False. DO NOT listen to today's news. We are STILL have? THE SAME as the 70's. Great music will always be GREAT music!! Thank you for keeping it alive, along with our fellow Americans - don't believe the bullshit the media is TRYING to get you young guys to believe! ❤ KEEP WATCHING great old music - you'll love it & understand! 😍🥰 Hugs, from Mesa, AZ 🌵
THIS WAS WHEN BLACK AND WHITE GOT ALONG! I MISS THOSE DAYS!!!
They are still performing, I'm going to see them this Friday, they are awesome!!
You would've been happier back in that day, I sure was!
Back then, "boogie" was another term for "dance." He's just using it as a play on words for Dancing Man, not as a spooky reference. 🙂 You will find a ridiculous number of disco songs with boogie in the title. 😂
These guys were HUGE. So many hits! “Get Down Tonight” “That’s The Way I Like It”, “Keep It Coming, Love”, “Shake Your Booty”. Back then no one knew what color you were over the radio. No one cared. *edit*. Boogie is short for Boogie Woogie. Not spooky. Lol.
Oooohh gotcha 🤣 thanks
@@KingGreatnessKGRegarding the topic of singers who “don’t look like they sound”. (And on the topic of VERY WELL produced songs.). Have you ever seen or heard country singer Charlie Pride? I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised. Here is a link to just 1 of his hits. th-cam.com/video/MrSFKAHl0HY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=nd4c58IlmzqTMmIf
Yes! Regarding "That's The Way I like It."....in particular. I remember watching "The Jeffersons" when Florence, the maid was vacuuming with headphones on, listening K. C. and the Sunshine Band. George knocked on her head. "George, why would you say a thing like that and interrupt me while I'm "vacuuming???" George said: because THAT'S the way I like it!!!

From: “Boogie Woogie “ music from the 1930’s, but extremely influential in Rock and Roll, and Country Music.
📻🙂
Thanks!
❤😊
Harry Casey, from Florida, the Sunshine state.
Boogie meant let's go dance in and party😁
Hey King Mix. Good reactions. You asked for more. Here are some 60s/70s 'blue-eyed soul' groups: Ambrosia, Hall and Oates, Righteous Brothers, Guess Who, The Animals, Doobie Brothers, Boz Scaggs, Bobby Caldwell, Janis Joplin, etc....
I reacted to Hall & Oates
Righteous Brothers already.
Check em out when you get a chance 😊
Cool knows all colors, shapes and sizes! Cool is... C O O L 😉💯
“K.C.” Harry Wayne Casey - is still performing.
“Boogie “ was used more in the Disco era as a word for “dance “ - coming from the word “Boogie Woogie “, which was a type of music popular from the 1930’s, and into Rock and Roll.
“Boogie Woogie “ got its name from the “base line “ that literally sounded like “Boogie Woogie “
And it was a type of music that just wanted to make you move.[ dance].
📻🙂
I saw his first european concert for many years in London in 2017 🤩
"whack a mole" ha, ha 🤣
Yes its a Band K.C And The Sunshine Band Get It ! My Sophomore Year I Remember !
I loved this band, I was a teenaged dancer…. Now I’m a senior citizen dancer! I agree with many of these comments: no one ever wondered about or questioned what race a singer or their band was, we just enjoyed it. And I sure did. I was in NY… wonder if was different in the South and Southwestern US?
wrong version!

Amen go for it all❤❤❤❤
They just started touring again last year. Took a peek at this video and it looks just as flamboyant as they did in the 70's. th-cam.com/video/SgK-kAv2o1A/w-d-xo.html
Boogie is dancin’! It’s a play on the words!
It's like Big Band fused with Rock and woven together with some FUNK, Amazing, I love the HORNS, really OLD SKOOL
KEEP EM COMING
Redbone - Come and Get Your Love. Excellent tune!
I was eight when this song came out. I can remember dancing to this with all of my family members on my mother side at a camp out we had at the lake here in Georgia. The place was called holiday Beach. Most people only had transistor radios then. But when this song came on, people danced! I know the 70s wasn’t a perfect time but I can tell you that, I loved growing up during that time because of the groovy music.
Great reaction!!! Psalm 138:7
Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life.
You stretch out your hand against the anger of my foes; with your right hand you save me.
Dude awesome awesome awesome awesome awesome do more do more do more❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Seen them before COVID awesome concert 💃🕺👍😎👍
Boogie meaning dancing/getting down❤
Cool T-shirt 👕 Awesome cool jam, good dance song even today yeah, good review 🕺💃👍😎👌
Thanks Gary! 🕺🏻 👑 ❤️
He still is touring too!
Bro, you must know all their music!!
Had not heard this of theirs …. Nice…. And maybe the Boogie man is a double 😂… like Michael in Thriller
It was so different. Every weekend was American Band Stand & Soul Train in the afternoon. Both shows had their own times as both were the same in popularity. Which would form "Solid Gold". There was never anything like the 70's. Magical Era. Thank you this is childhood skating years right here.
I always loved this music. Music is colour blind.
The band was formed in 1973 by Harry Wayne Casey (KC. lead singer) and Richard Finch. Casey was a record store employee and part-timer at TK Records in Hialeah, Florida[4] The band was originally called KC & The Sunshine Junkanoo Band because KC used studio musicians from TK and a local Junkanoo band called the Miami Junkanoo Band. Meantime, bassist Richard Finch had been engineering records for TK, which is how the Casey-Finch musical collaboration began.[4] They were soon joined by guitarist Jerome Smith and drummer Robert Johnson, both TK studio musicians.[4]
The dude that singing is kc
Harry Wayne Casey
📻🙂
@@jeffking4176 thank you
Can no longer hear this without thinking scary movie unfortunately lol
I take for granted that I grew up in the 70's and 80's! "Boogie" was a (then) common reference to dancing, and to the type of music associated with a funky disco style of the day. The often cited phrase was "let's get down and boogie!". Many disco songs referenced boogie to dancing.... such as "Get Down, Boogie-Woogie-Woogie" by Taste of Honey.
Oh wow did you just do the Batman groovy man
Didn't Rob Zombie cover this song? The words seem mighty familiar, but I remember a much heavier beat.
wow, why you do this version?
*the original music video is 100% better*
you miss a great one!
❤ KC & 🌞 Band!
Not as good as "That's the Way I like It" by them
❤
Harry Wayne Casey/ KC and bass player Richard Finch were engineers, producers, songwriters and studio musicians at TK records in Florida when they formed the Sunshine Band with the other TK house musicians.
And it was huge. They ruled the chats for several years.
They had a sound that was routinely copied. And their stuff is sampled now on a regular basis.
They wrote and produced hits for other people as well.
They had a historic run.
I personally would like to see reactions to some of their album tracks. I get lifted comes to mind.
This was good.
A boogie man dances. A boogeyman is scary.
If you want a lot going on in a song logical song
Also please react to family band The Sylvers -Boogie Fever -Hot Line -High School Dance
😅
Boogie was the dance style here, not anything to do with spooks.
