They are back to administrative processing. My wife was approved by the officer. The CEAC website states administrative processing. I am hoping this changes in the day couple days.

Seem immigration out to destroy make process long as possible so couple give up. lt should not take month + to respond to RFE to accept or refuse your response they should have dead lines to respond like they have deadlines for us to respond.
My fiancé made a interview appointment.. he showed up and they said it’s invalid that they aren’t doing interviews for k1visas they said they will contact him when they give him an appointment. I checked his status and it said non immigration visa application refused . He never had an interview.
I did my interview on the 16the May and after the interview the councilor kept my passport and gave 221g and kept my passport. The following day I already an email from the embassy to fill Ds5355 form to fill and submit. I submitted that very but my status was last updated on the day I had my interview and still refused. Thank you for your explanation. I want to ask you that We had a diversity lottery visa interview on Sept 05 and 17, 2024 at US embassy after getting a yellow paper as a second one. They gave back our passports and told us to go and wait for them to inform us. After that we sent a follow up email and they made the last update on Sept 27, 2024 and told us that there is no more information and documents required. Now our visa is still refused in 221(g) under administrative process. Can we still have a chance to get updates on our status or granted visa, although our fiscal year 2024 ended?

However, it's been stuck for about a month now after sending a document acknowledging proof of domicile for my daughter who's the petitioner. I have to mention that she lives in canada with us, but she is also domicile in the US. In the CEAC portal, we've noticed that it's been uploaded but not accepted yet. I had my second interview on Friday 11th 2021 and I was asked over 20 questions which I answered truthfully and correctly and then after the interview the consular requested for my company docs, tax receipts, my son birth cert and other utility bill receipts and other docs which I presented to her. After that she said that's all I have for you then she kept my passport. I checked my case status today and saw that it was updated today but still show refused. I'm just getting pissed off now. My first interview was Feb 4th 2021.
They got a bad habit of judging a marriage it seems nothing good can come out of a second interview when i hear these story seems there out to divide destroy family's
We got a 221G, turned in documents requested, for two months care updated several times on US Visa tracker, then got a letter with some of our documents back saying it was going into Administrative Processing.? Then what were all the updates for that happened, why did we get documents back

Thank you for explaining this and putting my mind at rest. I received a 221g for my I-130 IV. On the day of my interview the officer said she was approving me but that I had to upload a document (marriage Certificate) as the marriage certificate I had uploaded at the time of NVC application was a copy I had uploaded from my computer of which I no longer had the original copy of. So I had to get a new certified copy of my Marriage Certificate to take to my interview. But when I got to my interview because the date I got the new certified copy of my Marriage certificate did not correspond with the one on the CEAC website I was issued an orange 221g slip which the officer had written “Upload Marriage Certificate”. But even though she said she was approving me at interview when I had checked the status of my case it reads Refused. I was freaking out and have been dealing with anxiety since. So thank you for clarifying what this new terminology they use can mean. Hopefully now they are in receipt of the new uploaded document it will change. Hope this helps others, that it is not necessarily a rejection of getting your visa approved.

I had my interview on the 4th Feb 2021 and the consular says my visa has been approved. No 221g or additional document was required but my visa status says refused till now. I contacted the embassy via email and they responded saying my application is under review.

I was approved after the interview, served with the approval paper with the instruction of sending back my passport after the holidays for the visa stamp. When I checked my visa status, it shows refused. Why is that so?

Thank you, you just prevented us from having heart attack. My husband had his Visa appointment 2 weeks ago, the officer requested for a document we didn't know we needed and requested for him to mail the document later on. They did not keep his passport. Our case id now showing as Refused. They keep saying we need to wait for them to reach out. I hope we can have an answer from them soon.

I had my appointment on july 3rd, the offcier said that my case was approved. The status on the visa changed on July 5th, it says administrative processing. Today july 10th and nothing has changed !

@malik kashif The consular officer kept his passport and said he would be scheduled for a second interview. We just need to provide additional financial documents. A lawyer I spoke to said it is not uncommon for consulates to do additional checks due to a person's religious background etc.

What does it mean if during the interview they told me I was approved and took my passport, but one month later the case appears as refused? And three days after the refusal appears, they send me an email to pick up the passport that says: 'Our records indicate that your visa document(s) are available for pick up at BOGOTA ASC. An appointment must be scheduled in order to retrieve your documents at the following address... I get my visa or not ?

The system has been showing REFUSED status since November 22, 2021. The date last updated has changed to December 27, 2021 but status is still REFUSED.

The consular officer kept my passport and said “everything is fine but we need more time to review your documents” and gave me a white paper marking on administrative processing. The case after the interview became refused. IR1, Egypt, what does this mean? And when are these procedures going to end and the case becomes issued?

Wife had interview and was refused said get needed documents and send back. Which we did. Sent back fast. Then they sent back passport said need documents from 2012. Hi, My wife and child went to the interview and got a 221g form because they were unable to get the medical exams done before the interview. They got it done a week after and it was sent to the consulate but In the visa status it shows REFUSED. We are worried, it’s been about 3 weeks and we haven’t gotten a notification why it was refused. I tried emailing them but to response. Not sure what to think of this. Mam, i was interviewed in mumbai US embassy, on aug2021 i got 221g, for my US PEtitioners some more devorce papers. I am beneficiary from India. Submitted my 221g documents on 3 dec 2021. Status showing your case ready for interview. Process is very slow do they send papers to uscis in US for further enquiry is this the reason for slowness of process. Pl reply me mam.

Seem immigration out to destroy make process long as possible so couple give up. lt should not take month + to respond to RFE to accept or refuse your response they should have dead lines to respond like they have deadlines for us to respond.

Thank you for your explanation. I want to ask you that We had a diversity lottery visa interview on Sept 05 and 17, 2024 at US embassy after getting a yellow paper as a second one. They gave back our passports and told us to go and wait for them to inform us. After that we sent a follow up email and they made the last update on Sept 27, 2024 and told us that there is no more information and documents required. Now our visa is still refused in 221(g) under administrative process. Can we still have a chance to get updates on our status or granted visa, although our fiscal year 2024 ended?

However, it's been stuck for about a month now after sending a document acknowledging proof of domicile for my daughter who's the petitioner. I have to mention that she lives in canada with us, but she is also domicile in the US. In the CEAC portal, we've noticed that it's been uploaded but not accepted yet. No need to worry nvc to 1 to 4 month mine took 4month then interview date send
I had my second interview on Friday 11th 2021 and I was asked over 20 questions which I answered truthfully and correctly and then after the interview the consular requested for my company docs, tax receipts, my son birth cert and other utility bill receipts and other docs which I presented to her. After that she said that's all I have for you then she kept my passport. I checked my case status today and saw that it was updated today but still show refused. I'm just getting pissed off now. My first interview was Feb 4th 2021.

Thank you for explaining this and putting my mind at rest. I received a 221g for my I-130 IV. On the day of my interview the officer said she was approving me but that I had to upload a document (marriage Certificate) as the marriage certificate I had uploaded at the time of NVC application was a copy I had uploaded from my computer of which I no longer had the original copy of. So I had to get a new certified copy of my Marriage Certificate to take to my interview. But when I got to my interview because the date I got the new certified copy of my Marriage certificate did not correspond with the one on the CEAC website I was issued an orange 221g slip which the officer had written “Upload Marriage Certificate”. But even though she said she was approving me at interview when I had checked the status of my case it reads Refused. I was freaking out and have been dealing with anxiety since. So thank you for clarifying what this new terminology they use can mean. Hopefully now they are in receipt of the new uploaded document it will change. Hope this helps others, that it is not necessarily a rejection of getting your visa approved.

I had my interview on the 4th Feb 2021 and the consular says my visa has been approved. No 221g or additional document was required but my visa status says refused till now. I contacted the embassy via email and they responded saying my application is under review.

Thank you, you just prevented us from having heart attack. My husband had his Visa appointment 2 weeks ago, the officer requested for a document we didn't know we needed and requested for him to mail the document later on. They did not keep his passport. What does it mean if during the interview they told me I was approved and took my passport, but one month later the case appears as refused? And three days after the refusal appears, they send me an email to pick up the passport that says: 'Our records indicate that your visa document(s) are available for pick up at BOGOTA ASC. The system has been showing REFUSED status since November 22, 2021. The date last updated has changed to December 27, 2021 but status is still REFUSED.

Wife had interview and was refused said get needed documents and send back. Which we did. Sent back fast. Then they sent back passport said need documents from 2012. On my wife we sent that back with passport again. In May 2021 to this date haven't Hurd back .no feedback. Called nvc they said processing waiting for documents. What does that mean? Plz tell me

Hi,
My wife and child went to the interview and got a 221g form because they were unable to get the medical exams done before the interview. They got it done a week after and it was sent to the consulate but In the visa status it shows REFUSED. We are worried, it’s been about 3 weeks and we haven’t gotten a notification why it was refused. I tried emailing them but to response. Not sure what to think of this. Is there any other way to find out?
Did your wife and child get their visa yet? I went to interview September 1st and had my medical September 8th and I still have not received anything I keep checking and it says refused. I’m in El Salvador.

Mam, i was interviewed in mumbai US embassy, on aug2021 i got 221g, for my US PEtitioners some more devorce papers. I am beneficiary from India. Submitted my 221g documents on 3 dec 2021. Status showing your case ready for interview. Process is very slow do they send papers to uscis in US for further enquiry is this the reason for slowness of process. Pl reply me mam.

I went for interview and the consular didnt give me any notification paper or 221g . But the consular said he need to do some verification on my case and collected my passport. And my case status show refused. Please what's going on

My sister had the interview on July 21, 2022. Everything was good. After the interview they said your husband doesn’t have enough income on 2021 tax return. They said your husband need to file a Joint sponsorship and then he has to submit that..so my question is if her husband submit the joint sponsorship how long it’s gonna take to get her next interview date..pleas give me some idea…thank you so much
