It's a great idea with only one person in the group carrying a single cooking platform, ie BBQ, portable gas stove etc. When we go on a group trip, we organize our meals as well. Each couple is responsible for feeding the rest of the group for a certain amount of nights on the trip. Breakfast and lunches are communal and that means that not everyone is cooking and preparing every night, and you end up planning for less individual meals. Works great!

Ive got tens of thousands of miles on Toyo Open Country MTs. They do just about everything quite well, not perfect. But my favorite bit about them is that they roll round for 30-40k miles (Jeep) without any weight issues or sound issues. Toyo makes a great tire.

I have one of those Helicopter Mats. Best $100 spent. Camp everywhere with it (I'm told it was the Australian Special Air Service/Forces(?) came up with it for desert missions). Anyway, it's great. And I also saw that cove @ min 6. Can't travel like that in California unless it's Baja. Gonna need to take a Hajj to Southwest Australia. Great video quality and editing. Shots as good as TG or other Automotive shows.

Ronny, why not use your Weber Q for all your meals and grab a single burner for your morning cuppa. Massive space saver. We use Hillbilly Cookware egglets in the weber as well as Weber's new rectangular pan with the detachable handle for stew type meals. The dual stove is a nice gadget but unnecessary.

At 25:40 you were talking about only getting one cooker between the three of you for the next long trip. Would it notbe a good idea to have the extra one handy incase there is a problem with the one you are carrying just as a contingency? Also if ond vehicle has to abandon the trip midway for any reason and break away from the group it may pose a problem not being self reliant. just a thought.

+Jesse Ansell we didn't have fires as the ban was just coming into being lifted so no fires until towards the end of the trip. BUT if we had some we would bring our own and collect some at least 10kms from our next camp as around camp is always ripped bare

+Jesse Ansell stuff we use is generally jarrah which is a red hard wood it's also what you can buy in bags mostly. Outback travel it's whatever you can find. Gumtrees being a good one and there are plenty of them just finding one that's not half eaten by ants is the main challenge.
