Absolute fantastic tutorial Andrew, thank you so much, it just opens up so many possible approaches to doing our own little restorations and customs. Yes please uplift more printing tutorials. Thanks.
Thank you Steve. It is exactly the same in Microsoft Word. I was thinking for each restoration with decals including it in the video and if complicated with new methods doing a separate video just for the decals. What do you think? Your comment and watching is much appreciated 👍
@@andysgaragediecastrestorations You lead we'll follow Andrew. The great thing with decals is you can transform anything in to a one of custom, no others exist in the world. For example take a Lesney Pickfords removal truck, do any design of custom paint and put on a decal of your own choice ,for example put the name of the local transport company on the side. In my case ( if i knew what i was doing ) i could put Wilsons of Oldham. A favourite film of mine is Hell drivers it's about tipper drivers who work for a company called Hawletts. I'd love to do a casting in the period paint colour of these trucks with the Hawletts name on the side in the same font as the origional. However you want to do it should be fine Andrew, your our teacher so make it easy 🙄 the more you do the more we learn. Regards Steve
Thank you Alan. Martin is one of the premier restorers on TH-cam. His videos inspired me to start . I hope you enjoy both our channels. You may also want to check out Diecast Outlaw and Kev’s Banger Racers for something a bit different. The Facebook community of DMC and Digital Diecast are good too.
Very interesting, thank You for sharing! 👍👌💯

Yes most of it is simple typing and get the right font type or a close alternative. A lot of my early models all had custom decal schemes.
I just found Martin Dares on TH-cam today and subscribed and he mentioned you so I'm subscribed and thanks to both of you for sharing

Thank you 😊 I am thinking of doing one on how to do the Herbie decals this week 👍
Good stuff, Andy. I'll be having a go at that, I think, now!
One question: the clearcoat - is it a cellulose or acrylic spray? Or something else?
It just says clear laquer spray paint. That’s the actual one I use in the video. It is cheap at £2.50-£2.99 in the UK. Thanks for watching 👍
It’s called Auto extreme clear laquer
