Ooooooooo 😮 a new cheek poker 5000. Over a 100# in reclaimed copper, you could almost buy a carton of eggs with that. 😉 Videos are looking great, can’t wait for the silver / switches video.
Thanks so much brother! I was just saying the other day to myself that I haven't done an aluminum casting in quite some time! I'm definitely going to work on an aluminum video tomorrow. As always, thanks for watching brother! 😁
Thank you brother! I hope you get some decent scrap! Speaking of which, trash pickup is tomorrow. I better go drive around the neighborhood and see what I can rescue 😁
Oooo I love vacuum cords! 🤤 Depending how thick the cord is, you can expect at least 4 - 6 ounces of copper from them. I have a bunch of extension cords to strip down. Might do an updated video on extension cords. I love stripping them but hate unwinding the twisted wires.
You're right it is easier to melt the copper out of them. However, I've done it a few times and almost always some of those thin steel plates end up melting. Not very much, but enough to contaminate the copper and force it to have a slight pull from a neodymium magnet. I wish there was a much better, cleaner alternative. Most times I just toss them in with my electric motors that are usually too small to strip. Thanks for watching my friend! 😁
Hi I know it's a bit late to comment, but where did you buy that wire stripping machine from? I have lots of copper wire I been saving for stripping but I'm stumped on what is the best machine to get, so hopefully you can send me in the right direction (?) I really like how simple this machine looks like in the video.
@@reddemmamudirini7332 never too late to comment! I bought it off Amazon. Just do a search for “automatic wire stripping machine” and a whole bunch of vendors that sell that model will pop up. Its sold by many diff vendors who slap their own brand / model # on it but I assure you they are all the same. Used mine for over 4 years now and it still works great 🙂
Great video brother. Awesome little copper bar for the stack. Beautiful copper.
Thanks so much brother, much appreciated! I really like these smaller molds, they make the perfect sized bars in my opinion.
@@Scrap2Cast That they do.

Thanks brother! It is pretty satisfying to look at all that copper that was destined to rot in the ground! Thanks for watching! 😁

Thanks brother!
Still a nice pour 👍👍🍻
Thanks so much brother! It was a nice pour wasn't it? Love those little ingot molds, they produce some decent looking bars. Thanks for watching 😁
I got rid of an old vacuum at work and the first thing I thought was that’s a long cord it probably has a good amount of copper. FYI I don’t scrap. 😁

Usually with armatures I'll just melt the copper off directly in the crucible! Way easier and it gets everything off and then just pick the steel out

good copper in pressure washers ... i actually like that bar as is
It was a pretty good outcome, I think. I also like the bar, just wish it wasn't so porous. Oh well, better pouring next time :)
