Hey S2C! Have a great 2024, may all your wishes fullfill. Wish u great health! im loving these teardown videos, hope to see alot of them! See u in the next one!
Happy New Year brother! This was my first time scrapping one, I’ll definitely pick these up as I see them. Good to know that they all aren’t greasy! 🙂👊🏼🍻
The rollers were steel? What about the gears? Were they also steel? Maybe I need to go back through and see if you said either way. I do got to wonder, where are you keeping the scraps that you save? And it would have been funnier if you put a plastic bag inside the plastic casing...for the paper trash. Post-breakdown hindsight, I know...but still funnier.
Yup those sharp rollers are steel. The gears are made of plastic. I’m actually cashing things in weekly at the scrap yard for extra funds. Just had to finance $8500 worth of dental work so I need all the $$$ I can get. Even started selling things on FB marketplace with some success. I have about 4 air conditioners sitting in storage that I got off the road. They all work so I’m waiting for summer to sell them. Sold 2 AC’s last summer and made more than scrap, I think $120 for both if memory serves me correctly
@@Scrap2Cast Hahaha, harden plastic. Those suck. I hear you on the dental. Back in 2007, my face was broken in a wreck. Jaw had to be fixed with femur bone and titanium plates, teeth replaced (and lost), and months of recovery. Glad you're getting by. I might be going back under the knife for a herniated intestinal track. What fun.
Yeah hardened plastic my ass 🤣 Oh man that sucks! How long was your recovery time from that?!? Also sucks about having to go under the knife brother. I’ll keep you in my thoughts and 🙏
Because my boss said I’m no longer allowed to melt at their space. I also don’t own my own home so I can’t melt at my rental. A friend of mine said I can melt at his house starting in the Spring once or twice per month.
Happy New year stc here's a helpful tip I learned watching scrapers instead of using a large screwdriver 🪛 to pull the wire out use a rod and a palm nailer pops um right out with very little effort. If you have a little compressor and a palm nailer. Harbor freight got a cheap one.
Happy New Year brother! Thanks for the tip! Unfortunately I don’t have a small compressor, money is pretty tight as I just forked over $8500 to the dentist this week. Starting off 2024 broke AF. Thanks for the tip though, I’ll look into more once my wallet starts filling back up. 🙂👊🏼🍻
Great video brother. Always nice to see something new scrapped out. Great job 👍
Thanks brother! It had more copper in it than I expected 🙂🍻👊🏼

What an unexpected place to find solid copper windings! Nice find! Now if only your employer was as generous about letting you melt...😆
Tell me about it! Decent amount for a crappy shredder! Lol my boss does watch the videos and reads the comments 🤣
Happy New Year! Cool tear down. I always scrap these out. not all have the mass amount of grease.

He's a pyro, and the conditions of release are that he stays 200 yards away from matches.😂
Lol I was a pyro in my younger years. Always burning things with a magnifying glass on sunny days.
