Once upon a time, the owner of a VCR was the richest man... how quickly time flies. I saw the first videos in a video salon in 1989, I watched Tom and Jerry, the cost for 1.5 hours was 1 ruble) they gave juice and cake
Hey man my name is Charlie and I’m starting my own business where I scrap metal and sell the metal to the metal recycling company and I just started watching your videos and I like them ☺️
You are the Man Thub 👍🏼✅. I Love Watching People Smelt Ingots 🤔. I Feel like You have One of the Most Informative Scrapping Channels on YT as I’ve Said Multiple Times Before 🤔😎. Treasures Indeed Sir. You Broke That Thing ALL THE WAY Down Man ♻️🤑🛠️. Dude That’s a Perfect Spear Head or Copper Chisel 😎👌🏼 -End Junk Rant
always love seeing melted metal
Thubprint I'm your biggest fan and most studious follower. I only have a bicycle, of course I only take copper and brass. I anticipate I'll have the cash for a van within a year. Everything I know about scrapping, I learned it from you. I first subscribed your channel about 2 years ago. Now I've got my own channel and I wish to thank you.
Not first... he uploaded this earlier with some miscalculations, and Thub my man revised the video
Well done thub!
enjoyed thanks !
Great video my friend
what's a VCR? 😛
I see you updated the cash out at the end of the video. Originally, you had it at a dollar per pound of tin shred.
Puis-je venir chercher quelque chose d'intéressant ?
That is what u gotta tell yourself if you have free time and nothing better to do sure every little bit counts but its not very rewarding for the time put in
But always more rewarding than watching the Boob Tube 😊👍
Nice job Sir.
If you are old enough, you can remember when only your wealthiest friends had an actual VCR in their home...... My how things change.....
I paid something like $450 USD for a really nice brand new 4-head stereo hi-fi VCR once... Back when $450 was real money.... My rent was $425 at that time.... Heh heh heh!!!
If you felt like it.... Just throwing it out there, but if you wanted a really nice copper bar, polish it up, and spray it with clear lacquer.... It'll stay nice forever....
Lol.." lots of stuff, just full of stuff" .. well, thanks going thru the stuff and explaining. I am still having some issues trying to sort my e-boards into their selected grades.. but thanks for posting!
Lots of silver on the boards looking at the eprom chip leaves me to conclude a 1988 machine or thereabouts gold bonding wire for sure What a change from the norm brother awesome episode I would love to see some oldskool Canadian boards. Stay safe brother summer is coming
Hey Thub, just curious, what is the ratio of items you resell vs items you scrap. Electronics is a good example of items that can go in either direction.
What’s up scrappa I really couldn’t what u said after steel bin something about it doesn’t have to be really clean to be ? That’s where I got lost so u mind elaborating
I scrapped a VCR just last week. The guts was mostly plastic. Not worth the time at all.
Copper finger... gold fingers more evil twin brother.
Dig your tool use edits bro. Imma steal. ✊🏻🖤 Credit to you of course.
Go for it! I think they’re a huge improvement over just using a super speed clip
@@thubprint Awesome, thanks!
Honestly, this is kind of a filler. Love honesty, still love your work keep it up!
How are you staying so healthy through that cold weather up there. I struggle in the south winters lol.
i find like 2 or 4 vcr's every month and i scrap just for fun so for me 2 euros isnt that bad at al
why you scrap a nice vintage vcr 😭
I’ll take an ugly little goblin copper ingot any day.😃
I must say of all the scrapping channels I have looked at yours is the most entertaining and I have found my self binging your videos. I think it's because the adventure is more important than just the cashing in of stuff. And yes I understand the need to know that some things are not worth the time it take to strip I find its more important to me to see the adventure. Keep it up @Thubprint you have made a fan of me. Ps please don't take my cord of motor I still work.
6:05 that looks like the thing thats in iron mans chest that keeps him alive. Ha
Loyal subs know this is a re-upload
Do you feel special for it? Because I don’t. 🤷🏻♂️
I don't think it is
You got a better price for steel in the earlier video!
I've just recently gotten into recreational scrapping, and I gotta say chopping transformers in half with a hatchet has been an EXTREMELY satisfying addition to my daily routine.
OMG I LOVE THIS SO MUCH
Hello new subscriber and new to scrapping. What would you say is the cost of fuel to melt the average small ingot?
I find it’s about 10-20% of the tank to blast the kiln for the 15min it takes, so roughly $3-5. It’s pretty significant
Yeah Sanyo sucks
VCR or so hard to tear down
You just like me
You monster!
What is the gain/loss price between oxy/acetylene & the copper recovery?
I use a propane torch but I didn’t weigh the bottles before and after
Nice!
Love the video. Good editing quality. I may do some VCR's if I get bored. I throw on Netflix, sit on the floor with an electronics scrap on cardboard and slowly take things apart. Even got my 7 year old helping me take things apart. Work on our fine motor skills, use of tools, improving my stripping skills, and making a few bucks. :) Thanks again!
I LOVE the videos where you scrap and then melt and pour!!!!! I like the devil-forge melts even more than the torch melts but both are great! It's 2 channels in 1!!! Happy and safe scrapping. You did the thing. Getting followers and editing and preparing for videos is a huge job. Great job sir!!
I remember when we first had one! All the neighbours came round to watch a film on a Trinitron TV (I think it was a 20 inch screen. 🤣
Grandson to the infamous VTR! (Insert evil laugh here)
First comment!love your videos.

It was nice to meet you at Empire metal,it made my day 😊
