    Just started collecting cards because of 151. Enjoyed this video even though this may not apply to the market in my country - but very informative and definitely interesting nonetheless. Maybe some day!

      Stay safe!! It can get really bad mentally if you aren't prepared, so just be careful and remember slow and steady wins the race.

      Definitely, been selling for 2 years now. Started with importing anime goods from JP now transitioned over to trading cards and it's a slow grind started TCG with singles now I also offer graded cards. Your videos are great for every level of seller, always something new to learn!@@PokemonSteven

    Steve, top video mate. Really valuable, especially the stuff at the end. I've always submitted through a middleman because of the shipping fees which makes it so I pay up front which throws off the leverage stuff. Next year, I'm definitely gonna get a PSA membership

    Use all the leverage I can get access to, got it. I have been contemplating making a video about cashflow and rewards credit cards to smooth it (and the bit of leverage you can use from time to time).

    Massive video Steve! I have recently started going through my card collections. Selling the cards which I believe have no chance on at least breaking even as raw. Chose 15 of the nice ones and sent to PSA. I am in EU and it was 23€ per card inc grading shipping and vat. Waiting for them to come back but since its my first time not expecting huge results. Your videos motivated me to start ❤ Btw did you ever use TCG fish for PSA price checking?

    • @PokemonSteven
      @PokemonSteven  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No i don't use TCG fish, but it looks pretty good.
      I should have done a better job explaining international fees and stuff for grading, but its very hard to do so since everyone lives in different countries, i cant do breakdowns for every single country.
      For me in australia it's almost 20usd per card at the moment aswell, after shipping/vat too :(
      Thanks for the kind comment.

    thanks steve, but 1 question what do u do with the raw cards u bought for like a premium (like 30% of your invest money) and u think it will get a probably get a 9 (break even). and u can't really sell ik easy back for the invested money raw (like u lose a 25% of the 30%) invested money. Do u wait the 3 months as a beginner for a still risky psa return or do u take the loss en try to buy something else te send?

    • @PokemonSteven
      @PokemonSteven  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think the question is too dependant on which cards, some cards sell fine in psa 9, some cards don't. If you don't think it will get a high grade its usually best to try and sell it raw ASAP and buy more stuff =]

    Great information. While psa is taking so long for subs to come back have you ever thought about sending to cgc for shorter turnarounds and lesser costs or do u see the decrease in value in such slabs too much of a risk?

    • @PokemonSteven
      @PokemonSteven  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I did do that for a while, but i usually don't care how long it takes me to get cards back, since once you get to a point of having a "revolving wheel", you will always get some back each month.

I know you’re now catering to a larger audience for more viewer coverage, but I do miss the Aud pricing as not many Australians are on TH-cam doing what you’re doing.

    • @PokemonSteven

      I put the prices in USD for the video, because PSA charges in USD, if i put them in AUD.. then the currency fluctuates, it won't be accurate. I appreciate the comment but I am not doing anything for more viewer coverage.

    What is your tax situation like? After all, if you buy something from a private person, you cannot enter it as an expense to the your company. In turn, if you send this card to PSA and then sell it through the your company, you have to pay tax on it.
    So the sale must be higher than the cost of the card + grading service + sales tax.

    • @PokemonSteven
      @PokemonSteven  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      you are correct. the sale price needs to be much higher to account for associated fees and taxes.

  • @GrumbleGamer18

    12:55 MORE PEOPLE NEED TO UNDERSTAND THIS. Just because it’s low pop does not mean it’s hard to grade. I’m a niche collector focussing on one evo line, and several cards I’m looking for either have a pop of 1-3 or 0. Because of this, sellers will pop up and list the card for 200$ with big crazy titles like LOW POP RARE, HARD TO GRADE.
    It’s not hard to grade, it’s just that no one but me and a small handful of others are out here trying to collect every card of this specific Pokémon 😂 smh
