This is super helpful! I want to send some stuff out soon but I’m worried I know bgs technically is worth more for a 10 is black label 10 but how often do people chose psa for its name sake ? Are people in the market for bgs ? Or will it take a while to sell one ?
I've been burned far too many times with PSA, paying more to get less every time. I've completely switched to CGC, I spreadsheet all of my submissions and then i compare the cost/profit between CGC and if i had submitted to PSA instead. CGC is better value every time. A single pristine 10 can turn around a entire submission.

Just a helpful tip for anyone buying from ebay as well: If the card is on a white background, assume the corners are imperfect or that there is whitening. It doesn't hurt to ask the seller if they can send picture of the card on a darker background, worst case scenario they just say no. I always try to go to card shops to buy anything that I would consider a mid/high tier card, but when you can't it can be helpful to know these things.
I honestly feel, even tho PSA has the market cornered.. there is ALOT of respect for Beckett in the community.. even their 9-9.5 cards are considered just as good as PSA 10's amongst alot of sellers! IMO Beckett is the most distinguished grading company out there.. and yes the Black Label skyrockets the cards value.. its like, this is the best version of the card you can have.. and PSA's 10's are a bar below that to many people.. so yeah PSA may be the way to go for a lot of reasons.. but BGS is still VERY RESPECTED!
I have a Giratina V that’s corners are perfect and centering is perfect. No whiting on edges, but, there are some white specs in the middle that looks like missed ink. It’s not damage, it’s just their printer looks like it just missed some single spots. It’s not noticeable without a magnifier. So nervous to send it in.
@@Itwasneveraphasecards I just got into this two weeks ago for the first time since I was like 11 and the reason why I think that your channel is going to be successful is you’re talking about stuff from the point of view that I’m looking at and that’s making money. I do enjoy the cards and I still have an original fossil set that I’m going to keep. For the future, I’m in a good financial spot to where I’m going to be buying booster boxes and storing them. And then I think in the short term I’m gonna be trying to flip slabs. Good luck with the channel. I have notifications on. I’ll be watching brother.
Awesome video. I’ve been sending a lot of these IR’s in and with it being modern cards I haven’t really been checking for scratches. I definitely will be from now on.
I mean dope video very informative but saying that BGS slabs are ugly but PSA aren't.. come on lol PSA slabs are horrendous and in terms of looks nothing beats a black label
@@Itwasneveraphasecards yeah, but they all have the same red boarder design around the label.. nothing that makes a 10 stand out.. you always have to squint to see that small number to be sure as well... where as Beckett has that pretty silver, a nice big visible grade number, and as you mentioned, the sub grades.. then when u hit 9.5-10 the label turns gold, then black label pristine.. imo they look way better then PSA.
Great question! I don’t have that info because most of the cards that I grade are purchased raw. But it’s a pretty low percent around 30% are 10 worthy so you have to be smart about it.
@itwasneveraphasecards Do you utilize different grading companies for different kinds of cards. If it’s not a ten, where would you grade old sports or marvel cards?
Can you help me sending my cards and split the costs with you please, i ONLY have about 6 cards to send and i dont know anyone where i love that does Pokémon.
This might be a service that I offer in the future but for now I'm sorry I can't help you. I will look into what it will take to stream line this process and see who else would be interested. Sorry!
Very tough question... 1) Zapdos EX From 151 2) Charizard EX From Paldean Fates 3) Groudon From Paradox Rift 4) Gardevoir EX From SV Base 5) Charizard EX From Obsidian Flames Zapdos is too good, should be way more expensive IMO. Charizard from PF is strong I really like it. Groudon is amazing love the art love the Pokemon. Gardevoir from SV really calls to me for some reason I think this will do well long term. Charizard from OF I feel is undervalued. I could be wrong on this one but I think a good long term perfomer.
The problem is acquiring psa 10 contenders. Who’s gonna sell a 10 contender at raw prices when they can just grade it themselves? Ripping packs to find a gradeable card is never worth it either

So is the PSA upcharge another way of them saying "You're getting good bucks for this card.....we're taking our cut" ?? 😮

@itwasneveraphasecards Do you utilize different grading companies for different kinds of cards. If it’s not a ten, where would you grade old sports or marvel cards?
PSA also utilizes black light or UV flash lights to check for whitening on back corners
PSA doesn’t usually recognize print lines as flaws.
How bad would a print line effect grading in say an evolutions xy set?
Usually a print line will bring it down to a 9. PSA has people grading though and I have seen them miss a print line and give the card a 10.
