    Fantastic job as usual. Had just enough red to finish, was very surprised the chrome stuck to a gloss black great restoration tip.

      Cheers John, yes chrome paint over gloss black is the best way to get it to look right .

    Excellent, just spent the whole of this evening going through some of your vids, very therapeutic ! Lol.
    You do very nice work, I've done a few diecast restorations in the past.
    I mostly build plastic car kits though, that's what my channels about.
    Keep up the good work.

      Thanks Gary for taking a look, I used to do the scale modelling, not so much these days but still enjoy doing them.
      Take care my friend

    Hi Martin. Nice job on this one. I enjoyed watching the restoration and picked up some tricks (nail punches). New subscriber!

    Looks great Martin....I've got a couple of these that I need to cannibalise to make one full car. Loved watching both you and Bob restore this. Nice tip about the nail punches....I've done that for a while cos I use a pillar drill to reform axles (the Marty method) but couldn't be bothered to adapt some nails when I had nail punches I could use instead. Looking forward to your next video.

      Thanks Derrick, it's a good build you will enjoy doing yours.
      I will be trying the punches on my 20ton lorry crane coming up soon.

    Another outstanding restoration on a classic 1960's Ferrari. This car was one of my childhood favourites and it is nice to see one looking so brilliant. So well done on that.
    As to what you could do to improve the videos I think they are fine the way they are. Don't fix it if it ain't broke. If the viewer thinks you are talking too much, or you start singing (not one of your better ideas!) , then they can always fast forward. What matters is what you are doing and sharing on screen. There are very few channels doing the proper scale (corgi or dinky) so you are providing valuable ideas and know how. Keep up the good work, but perhaps leave the singing to the bath!

      No singing then just a loud hum then 😂
      All the best.

    Looks stunning Martin, you did a really good job 👌 I reckon now you have your light box the mirrored turntable looks well, just wipe it clean each time as finger prints show up otherwise, but it reflects the car and the backdrop and I think adds to the effect!!
    I bought the same punches exactly when I was over on holiday in Dec, with the same idea as you, great minds think alike ay 😊👍

      Yes sorry boss forgot to clean it ,don't lock me in the cupboard again please 🤣🤣🤣.
      For that price it's worth a go for trying to get in tight spots.

    hi martin. ma ma mia what a Italian stallion turned out very well. just a thought when holding windscreens that are to be coated in floor polish try using a small crocodile clip on a stick it will give you more grip and control. also a squirt of wd40 on your creaky turntable would be an improvement. best regards ian hulley.

      @martindaredare  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cheers Ian , definitely need some sort of lubrication.
      Good idea with the croc clip.
      Thanks for your input.

    Hi, I,m the one who asked Bob to do the 314. Well done, but as with my decals, same as yours, the door decals are not to scale. Very annoying...they are more 1/64 scale, not 1/43. I begged the seller to fix that in future, but he paid no heed. Bob,s door decals are true to scale. 🏈🍺

    • @martindaredare
      @martindaredare  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes I remember when you were asking bob about it,
      I didn't know about the decals, so that's something to look at.
      Thanks for your support and comments 👍👌

    You need to squeeze that red rattle can a little harder Martin.I don't understand why corgi had a silver interior, how many real cars had a silver interior? Probably a cost issue, but I would have painted the seats and dash in a different colour for realism. All that being said a great job, love your videos especially the waffle.

    • @martindaredare
      @martindaredare  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Walter, I dont see there reasoning ither for the silver interior, but for the purpose of the restoration I kept it ,but if I get another one I will definitely make it more true the real thing .
      Thanks very much for your support and feedback its much appreciated 👍

    Given how productive you've been lately, I'm going to have to try some of that "whooping cough". Where do you get that? Do you snort it, or what? ;)
    Nicely done, bud!
