Hi Everyone I just thought I’d tell you all that I lost my dear dog on Wednesday, today being Friday ‘ she was a beautiful little Staffie cross almost 18 and been suffering from really bad arthritis for some time and in the end she was finding it difficult to stand up or even walk out to go and do her business. She also had a lump on her shoulder which back along went down and almost vanished for a while but it came back and was beginning to give her pain too, so I had to make the horrible decision to face up to it and decide it was time to let her go. This video was finished before it happened and the talk on the intro was added on the Monday a couple of days before I lost her.
I have another video almost finished for next week but hopefully you can all understand that I’m still feeling quite upset about the past few days so I’ll put that up as usual next week but most probably won’t have the usual chat at the start, that will probably be the last one until the New Year catch up video. I’m very sorry and hope that you guys understand but I’m not in the best state of mind at the present time,
    Love you all 🙏 Bob.

So sorry to hear about your dog Bob, love to watch your videos, don't always comment on them, it was you that turned me on to corgi and dinky restorations, have a good few on the go at present, but don't seem to finish them, all the best to you, raising a little glass of whiskey tonight to you and your dog.

Hey Bob, this was great to see but Ive been very lucky and got a mint one in original mint box. Ive to add that us learners teally like to see the jobs you usually do off camera. Its great to see how you problem solve aet the models tip top. Please dont ever believe its boring, thats my opinion anyhow.
A dog is a real family member and losing one is ever so difficult. God bless you for getting hrt up to 18 yrs, that age isnt reached much. Thank and all the best.

Thanks Bob for another great video. I did a Ferrari 250LM myself a few months back and had exactly similar issues putting it back together. The boot/engine cover would not fit after painting and as in your video it suddenly clicked together and everything was fine. I also had the same problem getting said boot/engine cover to fully close, but concluded that it was made that way. I made the new exhaust pipes from styrene, but they were nowhere near as good as what you achieved. Keep up the great work Bob.

Another great job. Have you thought of using plastic tyre levers from a pucture kit to part the models? They are usually plastic and the piece that goes round the spokes might help with the rivets. All the best Ian.

Hi Bob, Really sorry to hear about your dog, I Know what it's like to lose not just a pet but a friend, sadly you sometimes have to make these decisions but I'm sure your little dog understood that the decision you made was out of love for her. All the best John..

I'd have been tempted to black the interior whilst it was in bits, just to take the edge off the chrome seats and the top rail. Those components would definitely have been black, to cut glare and reflections on the windscreen, on the real thing. Finished result was superb though: great finish on the paint!

Hi Bob. My sincerest condolences. I know exactly how you feel. October 10 we had to put down our 15 year old Jack Russell, Rosie. It is one of the hardest things you have to do. You take all the time you need, and cherish the memories. Keep doing your beautiful restorations. Your friend, Randy Kern.

Hi Bob, so sorry to hear about your loss, I guess she was a good age but it is still very upsetting when their time comes, my thoughts are with you.
Wow, what a stunning job you’ve done on this model, I like the way you repaired the exhausts, how you stuck those bits of plastic to the model and not to your fingers beats me lol and what a lovely finish on the paintwork, a really nice shade of red, I’m learning such a lot from watching your videos. I am on holiday in Chester at the moment and visited a toy collectors fair last weekend, went a bit overboard as we don’t get fairs like this back in Jersey, got a carrier bag full of nice cheap models to restore, so hopefully I can make some videos like you do, I’ve made a new channel on TH-cam so with a bit of luck will get started soon after Christmas. Thanks Bob for you inspiration 😊👍
My very Best Wishes, Nick Le Miere, Jersey.

Wildrover434 hi thanks mate, I didn’t realise you were a musician? Just subbed you and me and the missus been listening to your tunes 🙏

    • @Wildrover434
      @Wildrover434 4 ปีที่แล้ว

Not really much of a musician, just another hobby of mine, always loved accordion music and wanted to learn to play, I can’t read music so just play by ear and am self taught that’s why it’s not that great. I now work for the states of Jersey cleaning beaches in the summer with the tractor and Surf Rake, clean roads and empty bins etc in winter and if we get snow, I drive one of the salt spreaders/gritters. Before that I was dairy farming but high rent and falling milk prices forced us to pack up.
Thanks for subbing me and hope you enjoy my music😊👍

Bob, you made my day! I feel sorry for your loss! Thank you so much for remembering me in your time of grief.
You mentioned my name so many times that I feel like a celebrity. Wonderful job with the tail pipes! Excellent paint and decals. Your decals are true to scale...where can I get them?
    TRIVIA:
Corgi introduced the 314 in February 1965, after the Le Mans 1964.
Only 27 actual cars were built. Now going for 10,000,000 USD.
Corgi produced millions, and not many remain today.
Four versions were gold plated. One was given to Enzo Ferrari. One was sold to a collector this year for 15,000 USD.
    Next? Corgi 310 Corvette, haha
Love ya Bob, and only YOU have a VID on the 314!
