- Dan having fun on my 1950's Ruston Bucyrus 22RB Dragline. He's a very talented man, both mechanical and not too shabby as an operator either. After trying to set up the bucket and chains as best we could, we both had a few goes trying to dig.
This will be the last time that the old girl will have her Walter Wright Crane Colours. The next time she makes an appearance, she'll be all tarted up... albeit in slightly different colours to factory original.
The buckets will be the next major expense after replacing The Boom Sheave and future repairs to the fairlead (both temperarily fixed)
I hope to do a future video explaining what work has been carried out and rough estimates of costs involved. Machinery Restoration is an expensive hobby.

Looks like Dan is having fun, I know I would be. Makes me want to go and get in my Insley but we have winter freeze up for about 4 months out of the year. I got my 10B home before Christmas, hope to unload it and get the boom back on it one of the up coming warmer days so I can play with it when Spring comes. When will we see you in it Adrian? Don’t worry how you do at it as any one of us remember how we did when we first started. I don’t know how I missed seeing this for 3 weeks and will be watching for more.👍

The best to you! The 22B is a great machine. If available, get an accomplished operator to give you some tips.

Looks fine to me. Everything that was supposed to be upright is upright. No black smoke billowing nd no blood. I would've respooled the cables though. Been there and don that a BUNCH. Thanks, Adrian and GBWYou!
