On January 1st, 2014, I uploaded the first "Things You Might Not Know" video. Once the initial rush of videos settled down, I aimed for one video a week, and while there have sometimes been guest videos and occasional blatant filler: to my own satisfaction, I never missed a week. But now, it's time to stop.
I never got to space. I never got to the ocean depths. And I never got to fly off into the sunset, harnessed underneath a helicopter. I couldn't find an excuse for that one.

We grew up watching Tom and seeing him retire now is just a big wake up check. We're no longer the bright eyed kids we once were, we're adults with adult problems and the scene is changing to fit the next generation and its just sad to see. I’m glad he is getting a chance to walk away from it and live his own life but it still hurts knowing we no longer a kids.

Why are all of the good TH-camrs disappearing?
@@superhappygamer1162 they are growing and so are we. these big youtubers, and the current ones (Markiplier, Jacksepticeye, Pewdiepie, Coryxkenshin, Vanossgaming, ect) are growing. Eventually they hit the main goals with these vids (Money, Sucess) but there comes a point in time where they don’t need all that anymore. Now they do it for fun, but sometimes, they want to live freely, so they quit. because life is so much more then just sitting behind a screen or a camera, life is precious. so while we do what we loce, sometimes it js isnt the right thing. They want to live their lives with their families and friends. Its sad, but its the right thing to do.
I hope that you do great, always.

Watched him on University Challenge, watched him explaining his "day job" in IT, he would have been successful whatever he did, but his communication skills and "riz", as the kids call it, made him immensely popular on TH-cam. This was one of the best “I’m done making videos” videos I’ve ever seen. It used to be that a network would cancel your show after so many seasons. Now, you’ve got to make that decision for yourself. God bless you on your next season of life.

In all fairness, it's not the ending, just a slowing. But this is the conical ending to the channel, regardless of how many videos he uploaded in the future.
