    They are actually harvesting grain and would bale the straw after. The machine is a combine which augers the grain into the wagon that is being pulled by the tractor. Hay is cut green, raked into rows, allowed to dry then baled. Haylage is a different procedure again from dry hay preservation.

    Many thanks for the demonstration and well done on capturing the essence of the harvest perfectly.
    I live in the countryside and I love this time of year, even with the Tractor Traffic Jams LOL. Great painting and great advice as always. Many thanks once again.

    I'm sure the farmer would be tickled pink, to see that someone showed enough interest in their work, to paint such a lovely picture.

    A modern rural idyll, plenty of action, though completely relaxing. Great balanced tones. I learned a lot from this painting.

    Brilliant tutorial, thanks. I see you have a load of teaching videos on youtube, so I must get watching. I usually paint with acrylics but I'd love to try watercolour. And as my class instructor isn't keen, I'll learn from you instead!

      @@peterwoolleyartist hi Peter what part of your home landscape inspires you the most to paint?

    • @peterwoolleyartist
      @peterwoolleyartist  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jhimlybaruah5233 Oooh... that's a hard question... We have such a diversity of landscape where I live that it's difficult to pick out one element above them all. If pushed, though, I would pobably have to say that mountains and rocks are my main 'thing', and anything to do with water...

    Hi Peter what a lovely rendition of haymaking! I would love to copy this painting especially the pencil sketch. If I can get the sketch right and proportions I'll be very pleased -since this my first time watching your videos (since the painting & drawing channel days) I wish to say I like the concise and clear guidance. Much appreciated - some of the comments below are reflective of how folks appreciate your videos THANKS AGAIN!

    Oh, I think you are terrific. Your explanations, demonstrations, sense of humour and excellent skin, by the way, are so entertaining....well, your excellent skin is not really 'entertaining'! Your artwork is great too! Thank you!
