When you count the speakers, can you also mention how big the speaker sizes are? Speaker sizes also play into the sound, I'd imagine a larger woofer would allow for lower bass, etc.
Alright i will share a tip buy a fiio BTR7 with the thx amp. This is a bt bulb with a high end dac and amp. Put it car mode it turns itself off and on with the power. Connect it to the car with an aux cord and plug it into the USB. Stream hi-res from your phone via bt Its now acceptable. Not perfect bit acceptable. I have the 770 watt system 2017 coupe.
The "Meridian Surround" system in the F-Type is absolutely horrendous and a glaring example of where Jaguar cut costs. Instead of using the higher grade components from, say, the rather excellent Meridian Signature system in the Range Rover Autobiography, they used the paper- cone speakers and amplifiers from the 2015 Discovery Sport! The only way to truly improve things is to go full aftermarket with a DSP amp and better speaker drivers.

I've seen many articles about how people disappointed with Meridian Surround have gotten their amp replaced at dealer, and it supposedly fixes the issue. Having the F-Type be this poorly rated absolutely surprises me.

The Meridian Signature in the L322 Range Rover Autobiography is one of the best factory systems I've ever heard. JLR used the speakers and amplifier from the 2015 Discovery Sport in the F-Type. Paper cones, awful tuning....it's actually worse than the system in my first car - a 1992 Escort GT!

The problem probably comes from the amplifier itself and not the speakers. It does not deliver power correctly

Would you be able to test one of the LX-trim Honda vehicles with 4 speakers? I'm curious as to how they'd be rated since it's just 4 door woofers.

I've got one the stereo is rubbish got the speakers changed to audioson much better doors sound deadened

If you watch his other jaguar audio system and they are very high ranking while the f type is lowest rank meridian system he has tested.
