It's something different and performance-oriented that might drive views. But being a petrol-head, not sure it will be your thing, although it would certainly be an adventure building content with an Eletre.

Sam's video style isn't as flashy as others. Also his taste in cars and what to do with them is rather different from the other big Automotive TH-camrs.. So many do mods, turbo this, wide body that or wrap this and that... Which he seems to generally not favor, are the more popular types of car videos that many people tend to gravitate to.
Nobody does these euro roadtrip videos quite like you Sam, the vista's and the edits are just on point and stand re watching over and over just like Harrys Garage. You've done the RS6 how about the M3 touring Joe achilles spec. Would that fill the family criteria. 👍 👏
Should replace the F Type and go for an M8 GC or even an M5 Comp. Both would offer ultimate practicality and would easily fit into a European road trip. M3’s have been done on YT but who’s got an M8 Gran Coupe? Nobody!

The best one I had in those days was a Jaguar XJS it was beautiful, the car and the pack. Back to on-screen content, I was amazed when Top Gear first appeared on BBC2. Very different from the Clarkson and co era! It was a real consumer advice show about cars. Today, we almost don't need to drive or buy all these cars because we experience it here. I have been fortunate over the recent years to drive and own as everyday cars a 911 targa and a Taycan. But today I am nowhere near wanting to be a constant slave to the car makers. So I will save my next special car for some time in the future. You don't have to justify any of your choices of car and its great you share them as you do, but even your good ladies' X3 M40d is out of reach of so many. So it's good that people don't feel the pressure to try to keep up with you guys. I bought a 9 year 135i Convertable after driving a 1M recently. The 1M was £50K, the 135i with 50k on the clock with full-service history and immaculate was £7K. Both cars are amazing fun. The ironic thing in the 135i is almost as quick as the 911 and the sound is very similar. The point is you can enjoy driving amazing cars on any budget, and there are still a few bargains out there. I would love to see what the first EV you buy will be, especially living in London. Surely a Macan EV would be perfect. Performance and Practicality with the right image too. Looking forward to the coverage from the Ice meet in Switzerland (will there be any Ice?).
Shmee's SF90 with a roof box? He's just gone way up in my estimations! Seems far more natural on your videos too, relaxed even. The F-Type is a brilliant car, and given that Theirry Bollore has all but killed off the brand, might be one to pack away and keep as one of the last great Jaguars. That engine alone is a legend...

I think you should take the Modena to the Arctic Circle on the next big trip - specifically the Lofoten islands. Denmark, Sweden and Norway have some of the most incredible roads and untouched landscapes, and seeing the midnight sun in the middle of summer is amazing too!

I used to take my car into mainland at least 3x a month for the weekend when I had the energy for it. Lots of memories were made with family and friends while doing so, nowadays I feel lazy and do that occasionally as I got older so if you have the chance to enjoy those road trips into Europe, go and seize the moment.

With fellow enthusiasts, or some TH-cam collegues, maybe add friend of the channel, Phil into the mix? I had a quick look on visit scotland and there are interesting alternative NC500 routes to explore, have yet to experience them myself to be honest, still as theys say, the roads look rather promosing on paper. The names to look for are as I understand it, for example: The Crieff Cloverleaf, Heart 200, The Kintyre 66 and South West Coastal 300. Perhaps the motorcycle riders from your subscriber base can 'chime in' and relay more of these routes. Thanks again, I hope this idea inspires the planning of an upcoming trip 👍

No better enthusiast channel out there than STG. If only I had the $$$ to buy a 911. But an F-Type? Definitely on my list for when I seriously consider my next car in 2024. Finding a suitably interesting four seater sports car is more of a challenge though. You’ve said you’d have one as part of your five car garage. It is still not understood…an incredible feat of engineering and still the fastest four door production car around the ‘ring after four or five years (7m 18s)…incredibly capable on road and track…the answer is obvious…keep a Jaguar in your life…Project 8👍.

29.3 MPG pffffttttt. I went to Whitby from West Yorks a couple of weeks ago and set myself a MPG challenge. Traffic was about usual for a Sunday, mixed driving, motorway and A roads .... I squeezed it up to 38 MPG ( V8R convertible). However, I will admit there weren't any tunnels on route, which would've seriously challenged my restraint.
Sam, how about swapping the Jaguar for a Ferrari FF or GTC4 Lusso? 4 seat sports-car. You can always ask Tim his thoughts as hes had both. If you love it maybe the 360 goes away but for something else. I could see you going for a Audi RS Q8 or a Lamborghini Urus as well.
I think it would be a nightmare to lift a baby in and out of an FF/Lusso. Fantastic choice when the kid is old enough to get in and out of the car themselves though.

All 3 are hard tops too. X3 is the business. M340i xdrive cabrio? M3 cabrio? Or post 2020 Guilia QV? I had a e46M3 cabrio and it did the biz. Boot and half sensible back seats

You’ve said you’d have one as part of your five car garage. It is still not understood…an incredible feat of engineering and still the fastest four door production car around the ‘ring after four or five years (7m 18s)…incredibly capable on road and track…the answer is obvious…keep a Jaguar in your life…Project 8👍.
Please bring the 360 to Norway. We have a day called Italiensk Dag (Italian day) at the race circuit called Vålerbanen in 12. august. Might be a nice destination 🏁

Love the content with the F-Type, not only because it's one of my favourite cars but also because you are one of the few TH-camrs along with Harry that makes Jaguar content. If it makes sense to let it go then so be it, but I hope you can hold onto it. Now, if you were to replace it with an F-Pace SVR...

29.3 MPG pffffttttt.
I went to Whitby from West Yorks a couple of weeks ago and set myself a MPG challenge. Traffic was about usual for a Sunday, mixed driving, motorway and A roads .... I squeezed it up to 38 MPG ( V8R convertible). However, I will admit there weren't any tunnels on route, which would've seriously challenged my restraint.
Sam, how about swapping the Jaguar for a Ferrari FF or GTC4 Lusso? 4 seat sports-car. You can always ask Tim his thoughts as hes had both. If you love it maybe the 360 goes away but for something else. I could see you going for a Audi RS Q8 or a Lamborghini Urus as well.
I think it would be a nightmare to lift a baby in and out of an FF/Lusso. Fantastic choice when the kid is old enough to get in and out of the car themselves though.
I think the jaguar F-Pace svr would be a good option, Sam or a used gtc4 lusso

You should do an episode celebrating your time with both of your Jags this year. Especially with this being the end of the F-Type production.
Its got to be F pace SVR or M3 Touring or if you want content get an Alfa Giulia Quadrifoglio and add the GTAm kit and a matching roof box like shmee and create a series of video on the build.
M3 Touring for the growing family seems like the way to go, but I understand if it's too prevalent across youtube car channels already though.
All 3 are hard tops too. X3 is the business. M340i xdrive cabrio? M3 cabrio? Or post 2020 Guilia QV? I had a e46M3 cabrio and it did the biz. Boot and half sensible back seats
