It says THE INITIAL saga will be concluded, NO the format. In order to continue the format being differentiable from the traditional tcg yu-gi-oh! it will take time to do a review carefully before releasing the new era (probably synchro summoning), also OPs team will continue supporting the format with banlist update, erratas or whatever is need until that. This box will be great, it will bring new players to start/continue playing speed duel, we need content creators to stop spreading misinformation.. geez!
I agree, if they meant for Speed Duels to end the wouldn’t use terminology like “initial” , “pause”, or “break”.
It's typical that Yu-Gi-Oh! players have poor reading comprehension.
@@mok542legit9 Its not uncommon for corporations to pause a product line indefinitely rather than officially end it. It might just be that they are leaving the door open for more releases.

Theres still plenty of potential in speed duels..with characters we never touched on in DM era. Like orichalcos and waking the dragons, duelist kingdom like Panik, the big five, Noah and Kaibas dad, etc. etc.
Btw- we need to help our brothers and sisters in Europe by selling on ebay to them.
Edit: wtf Maxx c?? They could have just given us Pot of greed and it would have been better. If we are all casually recreating battle city. .. Everyone in battle citt had a pot greed anyway.
But maxx c? With grave keepers and ishizu cards?? I think Ishizu is going to win the battle city tournament and save her brother after all 😂
This is huge. Hope original blue eyes art work will get a secret. Also love 12 secret rares per box, that is insane. Going to buy 10 of these. Also wouldn't be surprised to see original artwork dark paladin as well.

I would just continue speed duel using master duel cards. Just shrink the deck down to 20 cards, add synchro, xyz, link and pendulum cards, write down skill cards on a blank card from duel links
They should just have printed cards useable in Goat and Edison and people would buy/maybe play more.
What does this mean...? Speed duel cards can be used in TCG... I'm trying to decipher your hieroglyphs
@@dragon-id5uj yes but Goat and Edison format do not use most cards used in Speed Duel so far, some of them like allure of darkness or superpolymerization are great.
I’m really hope they will be giving us blue-eyes in it’s classic art in secret since it didn’t get the same treatment as red-eyes or dark magician

Tho you can use SD cards in regular TCG but they never reprint currently banned cards so... is Maxx C about to be un-banned?

This TCG went from big 3 in the US, to being a second rate TCG that while no MTG or Pokémon, still a strong and slowly growing card game. In the last 10 yrs it has gone down to be a third rate TCG that has is stagnant in growth. In business if you aren't growing, you are dying. Stagnation is the same thing because with time, people will move on and you're not growing new players to replace them. On top of that, as this game gets more niche by appealing to it's core limited audience, they will and boxed themselves into a corner.
The game is over regardless of how they worded it. Think about it. They worded it that way on purpose because if they flat out said that speed duel will be officially cancelled after this next box, NO ONE would buy Battle City Finals. They need to make some money from this last set so they have to word the tweet the way they did, leaving us all confused as to whether the game is dead or not so that some people will still buy battle city finals boxes.
Besides that, any sort of extended pause in making the game would lead to its death regardless. Any remaining players will eventually stop playing and move on to other games and even if they brought it back, no one would buy it because people won’t be caring anymore about speed duel and any potential new speed duel product would be a HUGE bust.
I love speed duels but it has not been a profitable success for Konami. It’s not actively played in stores and there is really no in-person OP Tournaments of any type that are organized by Konami. Just end speed duels and give us Rush Duels

Every Yugioh series should get an equal number of Speed Duel boxes to the number of seasons it had.
GX had 4 seasons, so it should end at 4 boxes.
As long as we get a banlist shortly after im fine.
A little sad if it is officially over as I play Master Duel but play Speed Duel in person with a couple of people for a lower power format that are not necessarily into the game.
Excited for some of the cards announced like Joker's Knight (and likely most of the Face Knight archetype), but some cards that I hope are in the box: Silent Magician and Swordsmen, Gadgets, the rest of the Magnet cards, and just generally some of the cards from the Orichalcols, and Dawn of the Duel arcs that have not made their way to the format yet.
