I'd say so since you mention few different setups . Don't laugh have seen a pinion lock up & sheer off at over 120mph as a guy didn't know, tightened up the yoke with a collapsible spacer :(

You should do a full build break down of the F100! I’d love to know the specs, I’m trying to build a similar setup right now with my Mexican block 302

Tom is the reason I’m going with a tkx instead of any of the older transmissions for my fox, my car makes more power than noise complaint and it would probably eat an input shaft on the first hint of abuse
Love that shop environment. I know everyone is doing their own thing there but if I could get my friends to hang out while I wrench on things it would be a lot more fun.
The TKX is so good, and i’d say does this engine justice - nice upgrade!

I've had a T56 magnum from SST sitting in my dad's garage since February waiting for warm weather to put in my truck. Then some old man did me the favor of totaling my truck while it was parked in front of my house. So the trans got pushed back while I got a new bed put on it and fresh paint. Hopefully I'll have it installed before the end of summer.
You can probably find a lightweight chrome moly flywheel which is close to or even lighter than the alloy flywheel and you won't have to worry about it flogging the crank bolt holes out like what happens with a lot of alloy ones
One of the best mods I ever did to my sn95 was to add a lightweight fly wheel. Night and day difference. I love it.
I went with a American Powertrain 6 speed setup on my truck, but I absolutely LOVED switching to a tremec. This thing is going to RIP!
I kept the z bar setup with my TKX and it works perfect. Did you end up going close or wide ratio?
Your truck sounds so good. If I wasn’t swapping my 302 with a coyote in my 89 mustang, I’d do the same set up as you.
Hey Craig you put that little zinc coated piece on the bellhousing with the two bolts they don't need loctite on them
I’ve got a 92 lariat 5.0 short bed extended cab and I want to do a similar engine build to what’s in your truck, your truck just sounds amazing and preforms so well

Just bought the TKX for my foxbody yesterday!
Everytime I see the rear end, makes me think how sick this thing would look with a center rear exhaust. I did it to my ranger and have 0 regrets.

The TKO 500/600 is a 5 speed. This is a TKX anyways, which is also a 5 speed and is an updated version of the TKO

I had to drop a comment. First I have always liked this body style of ford pickup. My dad got my grandfathers when he passed away. So I have always had a fondness of them. The body shape the reliability the power the one we had was equipped with a 351. But all that aside when you did your first video of your ford with the NASCAR exhaust I realized that’s the vehicle i would like to restore. In my opinion you did such a good job on your ford pickup. What’s so funny about this is generally speaking I’m more of a GM guy. My family liked both GM and Ford my grandfather worked for ford and my father worked for GM. So we had both in the driveway. Overall those years of the F series pickups is really the only ones I think are good. Even though ford has made other very cool cars and trucks. All that aside I just wanted to say great job on your build it’s inspiring me to do a build very similar.
Time for a Crown Vic suspension so it'll handle. You can even paint the control arms the same color so no one will even notice! 😃

Why do you need offset bolts for the bellhousing? You said it’s important but I can’t figure out why it is important, I’m assuming it’s to line things up but why you need them to help you line things up I can’t figure out
Offset dowels allow for the input shaft to be perfectly centered to the pilot bearing/bushing in the back of the crankshaft. If they are off, the input shaft will drag a bug and the shifts wont be as smooth and will prematurely wear the transmission.

I put a TKX in my Chevelle last year. If I'm honest i haven't been happy with it. I don't like the way it shifts. It feels clunky and i don't like the massive throw it has. I swear it feels like your shifting an old Ford truck trans

Steve Morris broke his Carbon drive shaft in his wagon but he's around 4200 hp to that tires, so you should be safe for awhile.

Oh and fix the front alignment , a ford front end is wider than the rear so choosing a wheel that doesn't poke out would help the look

Horsepower is not what you're looking for torque is what you feel in the seat of your pants. Torque is what will break your drive train components. Just saying don't be fooled by massive Horsepower
